  1. Re:But NPR told me.... on Amazon.com Reporting This Holiday Season Their "Best Ever" · · Score: 2, Insightful

    Please cite examples.

In my experience each is referred to as "President Bush" or "President-Elect Obama" on first reference and "Mr." on subsequent references. Obama was referred to as "Senator" until he resigned his seat, because that was the correct honorific. In fact, I hear more cases of dropping the "Mr." for Obama than for Bush.

NPR, in my experience, has been much more concerned with editorial correctness on issues like this than with tailoring to some bias.

But I guess I'm just some "latte sipping liberal" defending the "drive-by media".

I disagree. Even when I support an issue, I can tell when someone is veering a bit beyond reporting and entering into nut-jobbery.

I have encountered bias on NPR. Both left leaning and right leaning. But the amount I have noticed has been less than any other news source.

Who says you have to have a centralized processor? Biodiesel scales down much better than the desulfurization units required for ULSD. Instead of putting the processor in Ohio, put the processor next to the coffee shop (or between the coffee shop and the gas station).

Okay, it won't scale down for a single pot to a single tank (as far as I know). But there is no reason why any given mid- to large-city could not have a single processor processing all the local waste oil for local consumption.

Look at the biodiesel plants that are making money today. I guarantee every one of them is using this sort of business plan.

My character isn't limited to my bank account, my status, my job, be it good or bad.

Not necessarily. Nearly any objective in a MMORPG can be achieved with sufficient time input. Therefore, time investment is an equivalent to material wealth in "meatspace". RMT advocates argue that they are just exchanging one form of currency (money) for another (time in game).

Personally, I hate RMT. Mostly because I lack both time and money. However, no sane game developer can ignore RMT now. It is too prevalent and the steps required to prevent it are too draconian. It must be designed around.
