In my experience each is referred to as "President Bush" or "President-Elect Obama" on first reference and "Mr." on subsequent references. Obama was referred to as "Senator" until he resigned his seat, because that was the correct honorific. In fact, I hear more cases of dropping the "Mr." for Obama than for Bush.
NPR, in my experience, has been much more concerned with editorial correctness on issues like this than with tailoring to some bias.
But I guess I'm just some "latte sipping liberal" defending the "drive-by media".
When they have a case with little or no merits, lawyers will often attempt to make the process so unpleasant that the other party will just give up and settle. I.e. xmas-eve depositions / due dates, asking for 65,000 pages of documents in hard copy, comically long discovery processes, etc.
Who says you have to have a centralized processor? Biodiesel scales down much better than the desulfurization units required for ULSD. Instead of putting the processor in Ohio, put the processor next to the coffee shop (or between the coffee shop and the gas station).
Okay, it won't scale down for a single pot to a single tank (as far as I know). But there is no reason why any given mid- to large-city could not have a single processor processing all the local waste oil for local consumption.
Look at the biodiesel plants that are making money today. I guarantee every one of them is using this sort of business plan.
Problem is, there is no way scientifically differentiate between "The universe is billions of years old" and "The universe appears billions of years old because God created it that way"
Not true. You can differentiate between the two. The tool you require is Occam's razor.
What you are proposing is nothing more than religion's version to brain in a vat.
My character isn't limited to my bank account, my status, my job, be it good or bad.
Not necessarily. Nearly any objective in a MMORPG can be achieved with sufficient time input. Therefore, time investment is an equivalent to material wealth in "meatspace". RMT advocates argue that they are just exchanging one form of currency (money) for another (time in game).
Personally, I hate RMT. Mostly because I lack both time and money. However, no sane game developer can ignore RMT now. It is too prevalent and the steps required to prevent it are too draconian. It must be designed around.
If by "animate" you mean "crude two dimensional caricature", then I agree with you 100%.
Rather than develop his characters, Jordan seemed more interested in allowing them to slip into a near parody of their former selves and introduce even more sub-characters to personify whatever he felt the current sub-plot required.
Please cite examples.

Sad that "integrity" received the fewest letters. Saying something about our priorities?
the chair is against the wall
I disagree. Even when I support an issue, I can tell when someone is veering a bit beyond reporting and entering into nut-jobbery.
I have encountered bias on NPR. Both left leaning and right leaning. But the amount I have noticed has been less than any other news source.

schadenfreude?
I know! Lets have a top 10 list of reasons why there is a top 10 list! Or,a top 10 list of top 10 lists!
Infinity - 1, actually. I prefer the Bistro drive, myself. Lower chance of random hitchhikers.
I'm more worried about crowbar input. That damn PFY just came around talking about "forced upgrades".

Yours makes a little more sense... I guess.
That would be a causal observer.
Paper is for sissies. If pressed, I just write it in the margin (provided there is sufficient space).
He who controls the SPICE, controls the universe!
Dude, that's barely half my porn stash.
It's easier if you have very long fingers. (As an old school AutoCAD operator, I find right hand mousing and left hand typing pretty handy.)
Communist?
I think you are confusing humor with sadism. I recommend reading less BOFH and Heinlein.
There is a fine line between smart ass and dumb ass.
Huge success!

Over-designed hardware exceeds design lifetime! Film at 11!
(disclaimer: yes, I am an engineer and I do understand how and why they are "over-designed")
I think you may be confusing it with the Have-Fun-Storming-the-Castle function.
