I really don't care how long this game takes to produce. All I want is classic fallout without all of the 'prettying up'. Give me great dialog, gameplay, and a solid story line. In other words; Bethesda, don't screw this up.
It's sad that the family that you describe is what the public perceives to be the average Christian. The truth is, there are plenty of religious and non-religious people in the world who are intolerant of anything different. (I have an atheist coworker who tells the vocal Christian to go kill herself every morning) Take note of people who post things like "Only an idiot would believe in religion". A true Christian would not tell you that you're going to hell. A true Christian believes in love and acceptance.
It's unbelievable that he was charge with terrorism, but it's even worse that the JURY convicted him. Who in their right mind would see this as terrorism?
People join the military for all sorts of reasons, but I doubt "helping to build the American hegemony" is one of them. How many men or women do you that have actively fought in any war/combat/etc? Have you ever watched them agonize about them lives that they took or the destruction that they caused? These people that are "helping to build the American hegemony" have sacrificed a great deal for what they believe in and they deserve better than someone spitting in their face when they come home.
"Soldiers may not be "politics", but the military certainly is."
People use individual soldiers as talking points and emotional leverage. If you want to blame war and injustice on something, make sure you place it where it belongs. Here's a hint, it's not the soldier out on the battlefield.
To be fair, the Catholic church was selling indulgences in the mid 1500s mainly due to Johann Tetzel. You cannot ascribe the practice of selling indulgences to 'Christianity' any more than you can ascribe suicide bombers to Islam. Modern day Christians are a direct result of the Catholic church's actions in 1517 and are quite different from Catholics.
I do agree that the 360 has changed the way some people play and I'm glad they enjoy. Personally, I don't have the time or interest in online play as I generally do not have more than 1-3 free hours per week. As far as achievements go, I really don't understand the appeal. I suppose it falls into the same obsessive behavior as people who need to get 100% completion on each game they play.
I wish others here could understand that soldiers are not politics. I wish they could appreciate the sacrifice that people make when they join the military and take on that style of life. Thank you for your service.
Do you even remember how many horrible games came out in the N64 era? 3D was all the rage, but many games were poorly implemented. Some would argue that they STILL haven't gotten a good camera system working. The point is, it takes time to work out any new method of control. Take a breath and be patient.
I know someone that was pulled over for speeding. He was then arrested because 'his' drivers license was suspended because 'he' never renewed it. In truth, his father has the same name and the state never processed his paperwork when he moved. They towed his car ($300-400) and took him into the station since they wouldn't listen to him at the scene. I believe both officers were suspended from duty because of the incident.
What about DNA screening? I'm more worried about them screening for genetic disorders to determine which are 'quality' citizens? As others have said, I don't fear the government, I just don't trust them.
I bought a DS:Lite in September for my wife and a Wii at launch for the two of us. I was never really interested in the PS2 since I had a Cube and PC to keep me occupied. I may look at the PS2 now that it is priced to sell and there are an abundance of cheap titles. I'll probably hold off though since the DS is really coming into its prime with games like Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk.
Granted, I'm from the US, but I really don't understand your objection here. It's a painful memory of a horrible tragedy. Someone happens to release a novel on the same day and it's a personal insult to those that died two years ago? I think you and many others are overly sensitive. Personally, I'm off the belief that you can always walk away if you don't like something. Many people come out and protest the KKK when they rally. Why bother? They might have a handful of supporters show up, but the protesters are what draw in the cameras.
Simple. The market was already flooded by the time TA came around. It never had a shot with the hotly anticipated Starcraft hot on its heels. I've listed some of the major releases, but you'll notice the timing for TA couldn't have been worse.
Command & Conquer August 31 1995 Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness December 9, 1995 Civilization II February 29, 1996 Command & Conquer: Red Alert October 31, 1996 Dark Reign August 31, 1997 Total Annihilation September 30, 1997 Age of Empires October 26, 1997 StarCraft April 1, 1998
Starcraft was a blast and continues to be at LAN parties, but I'm looking forward to Supreme Commander. As balanced as Starcraft was, I found Total Annihilation to be a far better game.
I'm in the minority since I did enjoy Thief 3. I was glad to have it as I never expect Eidos to put out another one. I do agree on the level size and curse consoles for their stupid limitations.
I love Crusader, but I'm afraid of what they would do to it. I always enjoyed the fact that it was 3rd person. It seemed to enhance the detachment of the character.

Waterworld catches a LOT of flak, but there are far worse movies out there.

We played SSBM for 3 hours after the superbowl. Pretty neat considering I had never seen it in 16:9 progressive before then.

Actually, it'll cost many of us an additional $600-1000. I'll take neither and wait it out.
The post is not off topic. It clearly discusses margins in the summary and this post is relevant.
"They made it a card game...within a game."
I guess you never played Knights of the Old Republic.

Bunnies don't brush makes me cringe. :P
I believe they hold board game trade shows. A friend managed to get his published by taking a prototype to the show and renting a booth.
Agreed. I spent many, many hour wriggling treaties and smashing enemies.
