Great, these nerds are going to lead to the arrest and possible capital punishment of thousands of citizens of foreign countries. They think they are so smart no one will detect it, guess what, they aren't. There will always be something that they will forget. Why won't people realize that the USA is here in the USA, not the rest of the world. Freedom of speech is great in the US, but sometimes people need to shut the hell up and keep their noses out of other government's business.
If I created the X-Prize, I would want several winners. Each of those projects will have something to contribute to the end product designed by NASA for an auctual Lunar trip. One may have a revolutionary liftoff thruster, while it may suck at landing while another might land extremely smoothly, but take off poorly. If you only accept one winner then your possibilities are limited while three has many more possibilities.
Scientists think the mountain will eventually replace the lave dome blown out by the original 1980 eruption
Or, it will explode like it did in 1980. Hmm...it had a large formation back then and exploded, it is making a large formation now, but will just fill in the GIHUGION crater it made the first time. How bout gather your stuff up now and run for it.
When will companies realize that internet users hate ads. I don't look at ads. I dispise them. And when a site comes along that has a million ads on it, I don't go back to that site. The only site I don't mind ads on is Google because they are small and tame. They don't flash, cover up what I am reading or pop up behind my window and piss me off when I close my browser. ADS BE GONE!!!
I wonder when the ratings commity will realize that parents buy the games for kids. I don't now many 10 year olds that have $50 to go and blow every week or two. And guess what, kids still get the mature games they want because the parents just put the game in the cart and keep shopping. Those ratings don't affect many people because many people don't look at them.
Most solar arrays do store energy in batteries already. The solar panels can charge all day long and when I get home, I have stored energy to put in my car. But yes, having a cost effective setup and having a $100,000 setup is a totally different thing.
The problem is that the age at which a child is a child and no longer is a child always changes. People used to marry 12 year old girls. By today's standards, that is still a very young child. Today, 18 is the legal age at which you are no longer a child, but we see more and more early 20's people acting like they are 12. Exactly how young/old do you have to be to be a child anymore?
100 mine range and 4.5 hour recharge. I would own one, if the price was reasonable. I work a few miles from home and if I get the new job I am going for, it will be a about 30 miles back and forth to work. This car would be great. Come home, plug it in and voila, all charged. Imagine being able to have a small solar array in your backhard to charge it with too. Not bad for people that drive excessively far for work.
Weird, my quote didn't get in the post and the italics didn't close though I put a "/I" after it. on well, here's my quote again...
First off, Mac users on average pay more for their computers, are self-selected because they tend to know more about technology than your average PC buyer, and by and large are a bit more affluent than those who buy cheapo commodity Windows PCs
That is absolute BS. I used to work at CompUSA and we have an Apple store in there. The majority of Mac users that came in there knew next to nothing about technology. Most of them were running pre-G3 era computers on OS 7.5. When the Mac Mini came out, they jumped on it because it was small and cute. They had no idea what was inside and were pissed when they had to buy a new keyboard because they either had no idea the difference between an old Mac keyboard plug and USB. As for software, a lot asked if they could still buy and downgrade to OS9 because OSX was so different and weird.
The few people that did know about Macs had a specialized purpose. They were either into digital photography, or digital video. They bought the PowerMac G5 because it was the best. They only bought Mac LCD screens because they had no idea any screen would work with a Mac. They still thought there was no inter-compatibility with Mac and PC hardware and heavens forbid if you tell them you can use a two button mouse on a Mac.
The majority of Mac Users are morons. No, I am NOT saying all Mac users are morons, but trust me, they only buy Macs because they are scared and ignorant of what is out there. They like thier little Apple logo and thats all they know. They hear virus and freak out and think that if you have a PC with Windows on it, its an immediate virus. I have only had one virus in my life and its because my wife opened a freaking attachment on an e-mail. Lets just say that never happened again.
I am sure it will be a little more secure than 99% of the porn sites out there with the Yes or No buttons. It will also cripple Myspace.com. My wife has a myspace account she talks to her friends on. I've read it before, and its a bunch of girl crap. But if she has to put in a credit card number, SSN, drivers license number I can honestly say it will be the end of her Myspace account. No one needs that info to run a blog. There are plenty of other blogs out there she can use that won't require that info.
Another problem is how do you know if Server A, B, C, D, E, F.....is overpopulated of your faction. If you go from Server A to Server R and server R is way more overpopulated if your same faction, it was a waste.
Tell me bout it. Everytime my wife wants me to get off the computer from playing World of Warcraft, she goes and conviently makes a bag of microwave popcorn.
I am looking forward to Stargate Worlds and Star Trek Online. Two very good shows, IMO at least, and endless possibilities. And WTF is up with Hello Kitty Online!? Man, talk about creepy. Next you will see a Pokemon MMO. Anywho, unless Blizzard does something stupid, I will stick with World of Warcraft and may only try Stargate Worlds and Star Trek Online for a month or so.
Man, I was gonna post that link but forgot which video site I saw it on. I laughed so hard at that video. That guy must not be able to go to any major city in WoW because thats all you see. Wonder if he tipper her a gold at least =P.
I never mentioned the lack of titles. I enjoy the most indepth games to the most simple ones. My statement was based on price point. Its just too expensive for someone that wants to play bejeweled from time to time.
They might say they are going after the casual gamer, but the casual gamer is still happy with his/her Xbox or PS2. Casual gamers don't go out and drop $400+ for a console they are going to play a couple hours a week, if that.
For everyone here that is dogging Vista, you sure are pissed when it gets delayed even more. I would figure that you would be loving the fact that Microsoft is pushing it farther and farther back. It sure seems like you guys can't wait for it to be here. I say when it gets here, it gets here.
There is a small flaw there though. Some employers love to hire people who aren't certified so they can pay them less. Then they want you to get certified but when you do, and ask about a raise, they say no.
Man, that was my first thought and it was taken with the first post. At least it got out there. Too bad you can't get a +6 funny.

**DROOL** I so want an Ariel Atom, it hurts. I wanted one since I first saw it.

Google comes out on top because they have a good product and reputation everyone wants.
Who really won here, the guy who had money to burn for nothing or the guy providing valuable resources and tools.
Its just common sense to me.

Isn't the classic star wars already on DVD? I mean, if not, then what do I own and watch on DVD?

MMMMMMM...polygon'd boobies!!!

Go home and rip my cd. In the process, burn every MP3 I have for my friend and he does the same.
Go back and exchange CDs and burned MP3 CDs. Guess what, I just increased my library by about 1000 songs.
Rinse and repeat.
