I'm sure you've taking a bunch of crap with 4.3 taking so long to get into unstable (hell, I wanted to flame you once or twice). Anyway, I just want to say you and X Strike Force team do a fantastic job, and THANK YOU!!!
And even though Debian is not an officially supported distribution, IBM *has* supported us. Mind you, we're not a real big shop (xSeries 330 with a 1 TB EXP300 array), but they've done a fantastic job and won our support.
I'm getting ready to convert my kids' Windows XP systems over to Linux. I'm going to set up Netraverse so they can run the JumpStart (& etc) games, but I'd like to install SmallTalk or Logo so they can start to 'do more' with the computer.
Any recommendations for a 'kid-friendly' Smalltalk or Logo environment in Linux?
How about 'Blow Out'. Sound guy captures sound bite of gunshot blowing out car tire, killing important guy (who was with floosy). Other things happen....guy fall for floosy, floosy gets killed at end. Good cast too, John Travolta, Karen Allen (?), John Lithgow (excellent!).
First tier vendors to start supporting Debian again. HP used to, but hasn't for some time (pre-Compaq merger, back when Bruce Perens worked with them).
How about (proper) support of multiple USB keyboards and mice? Combine that with multiple video cards, and you can easily share a PC among users without dealing with X terminals.
If you go to http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/ip/tech/cleartype. asp They still trying to license ClearType. I thought that was based on old Apple II technologies (discussed some time back on/.).
Hopefully, this fixes some nasty kernel oopses that occur when using the pl2303 usb-serial driver. I've had a lot of trouble with this when using my Deluo GPS.
is if these things support either Citrix's or Tarantella's Java clients. Using that VGA screen with a CDPD card installed would be great for my remote service techs.
"Most systems didn't crash; they simply lost network connectivity," said Michael Surkan, a Microsoft program manager for its networking communications group. "There were hundreds of thousands of people who downloaded this, and we know of only a handful of people who had the problem."
Maybe because they couldn't get online to report the problem???
