I've been seriously considering picking up a PS2 specifically for the purpose of wanting to play the Guitar Hero games. The only other console I'm interested in is the Wii. Or you could just get the Wii, since Guitar Hero III is on the Wii.
Has Mr. Bushnell played Wii? The article is pretty vague on what exactly his beef is with modern video games, but Nintendo seems to be aiming to do the same thing he is with his interactive restaurant games (minus the food of course).
Act now, and for the low low price of only $799, you can burn movies on your Mac and then not watch them! With the quality of the average Hollywood movie these days, that might not be a bad thing.
I think there are going to be a lot of defensive replies from dSLR owners. But with enough light, a small lens and sensor can take a good picture. With enough light, you can get a decent photo from a pinhole camera. Maybe they should start including those on cell phones...
the real Land Warrior system doesn't even match up to its copycat gear in Ghost Recon 2 If they could just get both sides to sit down and play their Xboxes, this wouldn't be a problem!
I tend to agree, but for analog-to-digital interfaces, the digital sampling has to be fairly high to really feel analog. The volume knob on my car stereo has a step-like volume curve, where it should be more or less a straight line. In other words, turning the volume up slowly results in audible jumps at predetermined points. Hopefully that makes sense.
They replaced the keyboard and a couple of other things with no problem. .. Was Linux one of the other things?

Step 2: Go to System Preferences
Step 3: Go to Accounts
Step 4: Go to Login Options
Step 5: Next to "Display Login Window as:" click on the radio button for "Name and password"
(note: I'm currently on my iBook with Panther, so the wording might be slightly different for Tiger.)
If they had waited to unveil the iPhone, then most of the details would have been leaked beforehand, giving competitors a head start and raising consumer's expectations even higher. Just look at all of the iPhone speculation we've been hearing for the past six months.
But you posted to a toy guitar with four fret buttons! Guitar Hero guitars have *five* fret buttons, clearly defining the game as entertainment for the mature, sophisticated and worldly gamer! Or for those tots with six digits on their left hand.
Is it just me, or is minesweeper with a controller horribly unappealing? Its a timed game, with small little boxes to click. A gamepad doesn't seem up to the challenge. Especially since there will be a mouse already attached connected to the computer. It doesn't say that you use the controller to play minesweeper. You just use the mouse, put the controller somewhere else, and "enjoy a subtle rumble each time you slip up."
I would totally buy a brown iPod (read:not-a-Zune-though). Never underestimate the power of retro -- the more it looks like wood, the more luddites like me like it. You mean like this?
