The iPhone is not even close to a revolutionary device, in fact its years behind current smartphones.
Recently i bought a HP iPAQ rw6828. and it has a feature list better than an iphone, and is based on technology 2 years old. It has
WiFi (b) Bluetooth GSM, GRPS EDGE SMS MMS IMAP POP3 Hotmail MSN Camera + photo software Audio and video capabilities Voice Activation USB mini connection SD Card slot
The only thing i see it dosent have compared to an iPhone is 8GB of memory, but other than that its more feature packed.
This thing costed me $600 AUD, which is slightly lower than what the iPhone would be in AUD when released.
Can someone please tell me why there is soo much buzz about an instantly outdated device?
I fail to see that as a valid rebuttal to this guys complaints. I have a sansa and am very thankfull it has Universal mass storage support. I dont have to install a single driver on anything i plug it into, and it can refresh its library itself, meaning all i have to do is copy and paste and the player, no third party app, does all the work.
You can turn it off, stupid.
No need to insult them.
I have a 6 month old Nano which has never seen a protective sleeve. It has zero scratches on its screen, despite sometimes being carried loose in a pocket with my cellphone.
A lot of ipods do get scratched, its a known fact. Nanos are a little more resistant because they are small, but still can be. If anything i would get a standard ipod if i were getting an ipod, and they are horrible with scratches.
Why do you care? Honestly, what is left worth listening to on FM radio? Most things which I'm actually interested in listening to on radio are better in podcast form, anyways (no ads).
In Australia i listen to a radio station called Triple J a lot. They have upcomming bands and no ads, as they are run by the government broadcasting system. i use my sansa to record the songs i like and record the names of the songs, that way i can find new bands. I also hate the term "Podcast". Its just an audio stream, it didn't need a new name
Apart from a measly small storage space, and stupid restrictions on USB devices because they didnt fork out money for a proper antivirus solution, The system administrator thought it was a good idea to take away the right click functionality of windows explorer.
Luckily we were given VB.
Within a week i made a program that let me edit the registry and a nifty app to restart explorer. In seconds i got all the proper functionality of windows back.
I always tried to use the computers to their full potential. even if that did mean i was responsible for showing the school how to share games, message eachother through the command prompt and remove all the rights restrictions they placed on our desktops.
The people who made WINE are probably crying now....
Hey! Sometimes IE is beneficial to browsing the internet....
