IMHO, it doesn't make sense that it can be illegal to record a conversation that you are part of since you have been explicitly granted access to the information (the guy is F@#$ing talking to you).
Agreed. It does seem strange to consider recording your own conversation with someone as a 'secret interception'. Doesn't everyone involved implicitly have a right to record (ie remember) any information discussed?
I assumed they were merely operating the 3G under ideal conditions for their commercial, rather than "real world" conditions as seen in PC Pro's video.
Has Apple actually admitted to speeding it up artificially?
Many consider chess to be a very intellectual and sophisticated game.
Pure strategy, or whatever it is they say. Personally I'd rather just waste time blowing stuff up.
A 'smart' enemy (or NPC or whatever) is not necessarily a 'hard' one. AI could be used much more than it is current to make characters look and act more natural and believable.
You've probably played first person shooters with enemies that act in very simple and predictable ways, and with non-enemy characters being fully scripted and just standing around with a blank expression once they've said their lines.
It's practically guaranteed that someone using a game's level editor is going to recreate their favorite game. It happens all the time. I can't tell you how many Starcraft maps I have that are based on some other game.
This is a simple case of people having fun.
Legal troubles? Yeah, right.
The use of voting machines allows a single person or a small group of people to completely take over an election? Sounds pretty crazy to me.
Do these dubious individuals have to personally build and install every voting machine in the country, or can they just do it with a thought?
The whole game is far too short and easy for natural selection to even be relevant. Once you get X amount of DNA points or whatever, building the perfect creature is a trivial task.
There's only a handful of stats and abilities anyway. The level of customization possible, even in the creature stage, is practically nothing. All you ever do is design their looks, which add nothing to the gameplay.
Looks like you missed something actually. Probably the incredibly uninteresting videos that show someone struggling to get past simple obstacles in a rather strange looking platformer.
Maybe the way the game looks isn't a matter of personal preference, and they don't want players making their own little adjustments to the carefully constructed visuals.
I think numbers 5 and 6 are reasonable expectations.
5# Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will adequately play on that computer.
6# Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won't install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their express consent.
Whatever "message" the game may have had was completely lost, and for an obvious reason.
Not because it was in a video game, but simply because it involved the WTC towers. Their destruction is one of the most controversial topics I can think of.
What sort of reaction was the artist honestly expecting to get?

On the right is the cold virus which looks like its from another planet.
Now I know what life on other planets looks like!

He did.
Maybe when they grab you by the throat and demand it.

Sort of.

Apparently some people (approximately 2%) have problems following simple instructions. Clearly a glitch in the system.
I wonder if I'll ever heard about littlebigplanet again.

Poor bastards.
Sounds like the thread was just as insignificant as the supposed issue.

These are the winners? Am I missing something here?

Beep beep
PS. Some of the rights seem to contradict themselves a fair amount. 2, 3, and 4 in particular.
Games should be released in a finished state! No, wait, they should have updates, too! But we shouldn't have to download those updates!

But everything else... no so much.
What are you referring to exactly?

Yeah. It's like, "why bother playing at all?".
