Risky to you? It's not like you can contract an STD through drm-free music file. And why should the record companies pay you to download their music? But hey if you want to spearhead the push to get the record companies to pay me to download their music, i'm all for it ;)

Too bad we can't use them here in Canada because Rogers decided it will throttle all Bittorrent traffic (1/2 kb/s up and down if you're lucky). Of course there were workarounds but Rogers eventually shut those down. Perhaps news of a "legitimate" download service will convince them to change their mind.

Switch to DSL you say? Unfortunately Bell/Tek-savvy do not currently offer service into my area so i'm SOL. I'd love to hear any (Bitcomet port 1720/1755 workarounds) right about now.

Are you telling me that the F-22 has no analog backup flight system? For gosh sakes even the F-16 has a similar system. A cursory google search that the F-22 is equipped with an "LN-100G Inertial Navigation System with Embedded GPS". It sounds incredible that the summary implies that the only way they would've made it home was via formation flying with a tanker? Can anyone with more detailed information on the F-22 clarify?

The first one is a downloadable program, the second is web based. For the open source crowd i'd recommend Stellarium.

Celestia is also interesting in that it allows you to travel off the surface the earth. More akin to Starry Night pro. Not as useful to accompany the guide but fun to play around with. Also open source.

"We need special programs just to make a difference between different graphic cards (or mice for that matter), so why should anyone pay more for a card if he's never going to see the difference between it and a cheaper model in real life apps." If you're buying a graphics card for anything besides gaming, you don't need to read any reviews. Just go buy any cheap off the shelf card to do your word processing and emailing. e.g Any $50 card will do. Benchmarks help to quantitatively decide whether one card produces higher framerates than another under different games at differing resolutions and detail. We need "special" programs because there *is* a difference in real life apps (i.e gaming). Very large differences. Take for example the misleading titles given to graphics card nowadays. You have idiotic scenarios like Geforce 4 mx's & Geforce Fx 5200s being outperformed by a Geforce 2 Ti. Or a x800 pro outperforming a x1300s. How would you know this? By testing them with benchmarks. Just because the benchmarks are primarily used by gamers to judge the relative 3d performance of graphics cards doesn't mean they're useless. They're just not useful to you.
