Linux has more global users than Mac.
Windows is and will remain the dominant operating system for years to come, never mind linux or mac too much is done on windows for a migration to another operating system. If you look at the business world they could'nt and wouldn't switch their entire system over to shiny white macs when they could have a load of Dell PC's at the fraction of the cost. For home users they want something cheap that can do the basics like go on the internet, get an email or two perhaps do some work. For gamers, they want something that can the latest games and than can be upgraded cannot meet those requirements. Macs are designed for graphics and to look nice, OS X is an excellent operating system I myself may purchase one of the new mactel machines, but when the consumer has a set budget then Apple is well out of their league, plus the source is unreliable as its rather bias from a Mac fan news site.
The reality is without the Ipod, Apple would be doing a lot less well, because of the shear marketing factor the ipod has had on the company.
Patch this as soon as possible otherwise they will not make money, and why do all the Xbox 360 hacking videos have the top of the console taken off, I'm still not fully convinced of the video seeing as we can't see the back of the tv.
Though I do understand the need to investigate say if something was illegal or criminal on the laptop but the guy saved the company a bit of money by erasing the data. To go to a data secure eraser company they would charge a fortune for the process involved. Though to go to the extent of using such methods to delete the data makes me wonder if he was hideing something.

You can run linux on a toaster!, those prices are outrageous for a pc I would just use an old machine for linux, I picked up an old IBM laptop for nothing and it runs linux fine on 192 mb of ram and a pentium 3 400 mhz.
Buy a Dell laptop, and enjoy your free sterilsation no more swimming around soldiers more like fried sperm from Dells mobile nuclear reactor. I swear you could melt metals with a dell notebook.
By 2010, EA will have bought out all its rivals and have enough power to destroy a small country. Small games makers can't survive. I look back in the days of Westwood and Command and Conquer, Maxis with the Sims all good games before EA engulfed them.
I have a MSDN copy which suddenly appeared, I think it was delivered to the wrong adress and I have action pack copies, if your an OEM just borrow a disk or 'aquire' one. The remote control is very nice as well only £18 I'm planning to put it on my laptop and hook it up to a USB tv card.
I'm not bricking my new Mac trying to run linux, I just have a horrible image of waiting on the phone with Apples tech support and them going 'no its not under waranty'.
That isn't a lot when you could sell the exploit on the internet like the WMF exploit was a snip at $5000 each, think how many people bought that in the malicous website, porn internet, fake-anti spyware companies like Win Hound. Some how I don't think this will last long.
