Who wants to predict howlong it will take for those old fashion 1080P sets to become outdated, and that you really must have one of tese new 2160p sets if you want to even THINK of keeping up with the jonses.
As a quick note. I am actualy finaly ditching the first, and only, TV I ever had (making it around 14 yrs old now I think), a 20" CRT that had some sorta funky colour burns on the sides... I am replacing it with: My boss' old 20" CRT that works!
I'm to busy playing games in 2D to bother with games that are HD
Even if these figuers were accurate, the real question is how well are these consoles going to sell within the next 3 months to a year. The Xbox360 has already proven itself a formidable foe even in the face of an earlier launch, but what remains to be seen is the sales figures from Sony and Nintendo when consoles arent as limited.
If they are really living their _lives_ by their _employer's_ mission statement, then something is seriously wrong - that is slavery, not employment.
I meant corporate lives their work life by those guidelines. same as the employees must generally abide by these guidlines. say what you want, but it works.
there is an actual "small" size, but it was widely unpopular to us fat americans that love to consume so much.:P
seriously, there is a small size(which i forget the name of),tall is the medium, grande is italian for large and venti is italian for 20 as in 20oz of zomg expensive coffee.
While working at starbucks they urge you to be an absolute coffee enthusiast(not necessarily a drinker), but they really do well in taking care of its employees, surrounding community and the farmers.
Here is the mission statement that they live their lives by:
Establish Starbucks as the premier purveyor of the finest coffee in the world while maintaining our uncompromising principles as we grow. The following six guiding principles will help us measure the appropriateness of our decisions:
* Provide a great work environment and treat each other with respect and dignity.
* Embrace diversity as an essential component in the way we do business.
* Apply the highest standards of excellence to the purchasing, roasting and fresh delivery of our coffee.
* Develop enthusiastically satisfied customers all of the time.
* Contribute positively to our communities and our environment.
* Recognize that profitability is essential to our future success.
I was so eager to get my hands on the official US release of FF3. The updated graphics by no means kill the old-school feel and the difficulty is still there! I've been playing FF3 more than Zelda and FF12 combined. so many games, so little time.
I also fit in this demographic and i've realized how subdued everyone's(18-25) sense of adventure is. There is almost no desire to learn new things or even to expand the horizons of their own comfortable living. Thank God i dont fit the typical bill of my (read: iPod?) generation.
I'm sorry, but the monthly subscription is for server upkeep and so the people running the game get paid(thus allowing you to continue enjoying the game). That much has been understood since the dawn of MMORPGs. I think the problem for some players is that they have a sense of in-game ethics. It's basically a black market and i don't know about you, but i'd feel a tad conscious buying merchandise that "fell off a truck." Is it such a big deal that some people have a higher sense of justice? Besides, those of us that don't have the extra money flying around to waste on in-game gold prefer to earn our privelages and if you really were a millionaire i sure hope you'd find better things to do with your time than buying gold on WoW.
I don't doubt that they might be speaking the truth, but they could've just put in a five minute reset timer or something. having the unit freeze up is just tacky.
If they have the awareness to ask for legal rights, why shouldn't they have them? Have we learned nothing from Star Trek: The Next Generation?
It took people long enough to consider a human slave's legal rights in the times of the american civil war. i hope it wont take as long this time around.
I'll agree with my old NES and SNES still in working order, but the games with battery back up are what concerns me. all those batteries are pretty much done for. farewell beloved NES RPGs:(
however, it still brings back good times blowing into the cart. it makes me feel like a kid again!
the liver can process one drink(1 glass of beer/1 shot)per hour. drink any faster than that and it has to play catch up. that is where it becomes detrimental to your health
i really like the singing "drama." It's kind of like a training session which determines the succes of the opera singer on screen. I know they have a karaoke revolution already out, but you'd need to know how to sing to play that well and that may not be fun for everyone. similar to the wii's input, via the wii-remote, you feel a sense of accomplishment being the helping hand to the action on screen.
Besides the fun and new gamer factor, I'd say that the "game" is not a game. It is a futile exercise...
Fluxx is best enjoyed with good friends and humourous people. you must not have funny friends because this futile exercise is quite fun. in my experiences its just a laughable easy to play game. mix in drinks and sometimes its just too much fun. i'm a gamer and find this excrutiating task rather enjoyable. easy for anyone to pick up or join on the fly too.:D
I'm sorry, but style does matter for something that sits in your pocket(to some people). not everyone is a tech nerd that is satisfied on performance alone. think of an average consumer concerned with aesthetics as much as functionality. you can't always have both, but what if you could? i have an ipod nano that fits nicely into that little pocket in my jeans. it goes wherever i go and it hooks up to my car audio conveniently. it's nice to have an ipod over a mundane block of cheese if you're lookin for style points. i get compliments from girls that think its cute i keep my ipod in that little pocket. storage space or female attention? you choose.
I personally would LOVE to see a huge spike in popularity of 2D games. The hardware is even will suited for handling the task, and has a lot to offer a 2D game. Scaling and rotation would be a breeze for modern hardware, transparency is a piece of cake, sprites aren't limited to any specific number. There's no practical limit to the number of colors on screen. Unlimited levels of parallax are easily realized. The list goes on.
this was the case with The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure...or whatever it was called.there were amazing parts in the game that displayed a ridiculous amount of sprites you had to fend off and there was no drop in the framerate.
I experienced internet withdrawals back in 2002 when my DSL was taken away from me. The first month was hell. After three months i had totally forgotten i ever had the internet. The addiction is real as is an addiction to anything. The reason it's being considered a medical condition is because of the popularity of the addiction. I can honestly say i haven't had my own broadband connection until a month ago and now i feel i dont know how to surf the web, but atleast i dont waste time in front of a computer as much.

for all of you that don't know, a rod was originally measured from the tip of the donkey's nose to the back of the plow. go america...

Quite handy if I do say so myself...
i have to agree. some websites just dont function properly using firefox. a few people just dont bother testing the websites for multiple browsers.

*purchases "How to Survive a Robot Uprising"*
sounds like you've been building computers for quite a while. so would a two headed reptile have a "dual core?" :P
....or hours of play time either :P

i chose to sacrifice storage :)
