i think rythm games are fun and all, but playing on that little plastic guitar is uncomfortable. Maybe i'm doing things wrong because i know what a real guitar feels like, but i think the buttons are way too far apart. I actually have an easier time playing the guitar riff for message in a bottle than i do playing guitar hero. seriously, check it out. andy summers hasalien fingers.
I've always had a great time purchasing through play-asia. They have quick, responsive customer service and they also offer coupons as an incentive to purchase through them again.
Now, i think you're adding way too many negative connnotations to my words. I only stated what i've seen in the lines. Not much room for bias. Stereotypes (although i hate to admit) come from somewhere. We don't have prejudice in this world for things people don't do. I'm a minority. I've been a geek all my life. So don't you tell me about bias or stereotyping because i've known th ugly face of prejudice for many years.
I'm a fan of videogames and to tell you the truth, i'm not impressed with what the PS3 has to offer. Just because an avatar may be "cute" doesn't make it kiddie. An iron-clad warrior with a huge grimace and an even huger gun doesn't necessarily scream "adult." When i was a kid the latter appealed to me a lot more. Just sit on that...and ignore the rude posts of nintendo fanboyism.
the only people i've seen excited (and lining up) are those that believe statements like "The P$3 will replace the home computer", the "madden"/sports crowd and lower middle class teenagers that somehow have $600 to throw away.
Why can't stores get this excited about the Wii. Do they still view all nintendo products as "kiddie?"
...(yes, I know, I'm weird for meeting girls through an online video game but honestly, ask Mr. Yeager, she's head and shoulders better than all the girls I met DJing, waiting tables, in college, and bartending at clubs in Philly).
Those are pretty much the worst places to meet the right girls
As i mentioned, voice overs only work when well done. That's a true rarity in games. I often turn down the volume when playing BF2 and turn up my squad members on vent'. Believe me, I like to read. I don't need fancy visuals or books on tape to enjoy a book. I have an imagination. It's not necesesary to use up 25 gigs when 300 megs will suffice. The advent of blockbuster movies/games have been the bane of creativity in each respective media. Utilizing big budgets, and in this case higher capacity, in a compelling way is also rare. I'm all for the capabilities of a media, but not necessarily the product. Potential only gets you so far.
You can say all you want about a lack of compelling content, but saying no one cares about 7.1 sound and 1080i cutscenes is a bit ironic because no one cares about your bitch rants.
The truth is, sound does enhance the overall experience as well as the visuals. Voice overs (if done well) can add dimension to characters. Yea sure, none of that really stands out if the game is crap, but that's not the point. I'm not such a technphile, but one reason i play games is for the immersion or the escapism. If added capacity on a disc will enhance my gaming experience, then i welcome the change.
I personally have had it happen where my iPod is in shuffle mode and I've heard not just two songs in a row by the same artist, but a song plays and then the next song from that album follows it. And that's with a library of over 5,000 songs. Naturally it's more likely to happen on a much smaller Shuffle with a fraction of the songs.
I encountered a glitch once that did something quite similar, but on a more "intentional" basis. My iPod nano was in shuffle mode, but when it played the first track "Pump It," on the Black Eyed Peas album Monkey Business, it somehow managed to play the entire CD in order and then continued on it's regular shuffle. This only happened once, so it may have been a glitch or a VERY rare coincidence. Other than that, my shuffle works well enough and I only house about 900 tracks.
If it weren't for indie games/films we'd have to suffer with the same ol' blockbuster hits just witht a different skin each time. Creativity is all about freedom and big companies have a way of taking away freedom.
*on an unrelated note: i was lucky enough to (recently) nab a copy of Rez for the PS2. Some schmuck sold it to gamestop. it was practically new as in, "hey, let me take off the shrinkwrap and sell this crappy looking game to gamestop" new.
His father, also named Victor, says his son has used some of the money he earns from lessons (hourly rate: $25) to buy a hamster, named Cortana after a character in the game.'"
You would think so, seeing that his son is named Victor de Leon III!
If they expect videogame sales to never decline then they need to weed out the crud that comes out every month. You can't just purchase a videogame on the whim anymore without wondering if you just bought a stinker with pretty graphics. Hell, you can't buy anything on a whim anymore for fear that you won't have enough money later to pay for gas

If you lived in Japan, yes.

i guess they couldn't put "madden" and "tutorial" together to get the joke.
...or you can just play Eve Online and filter through all the 12 year olds and get much better research.

I guess, since they have all that extra space on the blu-ray discs...

I couldn't imagine the mess they must've made
That's right, your beloved hero of time is a flautist named Lefty.
no one wants to work for things anymore. they want the quickest way to the top. instant gratification. it's the bane of american society.
Martin Luther would not approve of such indulgences

makes me hate it i really don't feel that way, but simple prejudices don't need to be discussed.

Corona is always better with lime!
Gas prices make me buy less games no MMOs.
