Me too. Playing in vista, my game would crash every half hour. In XP, it crashes once every 3-4 hours. Pq's are great, and the "chickening" of higher level players in lowbie zones is the best Idea i've seen (turning them into easily killable chickens). I think that will even add some "replayability" to the game (playing zones you enjoyed a lot but leveld out of), which isn't common for an MMO.

I wouldn't call "rock band" a good port, considering it's on par with ps2's features. My idea of a good port is like Force Unleashed, where there are features for that console exclusively, rather than the removal of features. (even though I FULLY expect the light saber battles to blow chunks.)

I downloaded silverlight and the player on the DNC website last night to watch the stream, and the stream was up faster and with a higher resolution than I've seen on ANY other streaming flash video. This might have been a fluke, but I was impressed. I never dropped the stream, switched between the "alternate video" seamlessly.
I bet you also go into guitar stores and crank a Jackson guitar plugged into a Line 6 amp and shredd on some other 80's metal solo, wondering how long it will be before you "impress" the staff.

Ahhahhahha. What terrorist is dumb enough to route the calls directly through the DHS and FEMA monitored lines! Somehow, i doubt it. This sounds like the "good" kind of hacking, showing a major security hole, doing a proof of the work, not destroying anything, but making the DHS look closer at their security. Poor Hacker though, I imagine he's in Guitmo already as an "enemy combatant".

Tie Fighter and Xwing released on XBLA (and Windows Live) would be sweet. The graphics and network code could be cleaned up to allow for 32 players easy. The story in Tie Fighter was pretty great (when i was 10) actually helping protect and defend the TIE Advance during development and then getting to fly it, felt pretty good. Too often stories in games like that have to do with "politics" or outside forces that you have no connection to. Making your ships part of the story was pretty smart.
I can see this from an Incompetence point of view, however, if the FBI was smart enough to warn Journalists about an anthrax attack and to get vaccines, why the HELL wouldn't they increase the monitoring/surveilance of one of the top biological research labs in the United states? Wow, we're so smart we can predict anthrax attacks to specifically tell people to get a specific vaccine, but so dumb not to actually WATCH trouble areas for the attack.
Or Steve Kurtz, who was initially threatened with bioterrorism charges, which was then dropped to Mail fraud by the grand jury, and eventually all charges were dropped. All of this because he had art installations that used Bacteria he was sending through the mail.
Also, those same Quake demos were playable Audio CD's. tracks 2-9 were Nine Inch Nails songs, written for the soundtrack (i'm sure the game just streamed the music straight off the cd at the time). I've been looking for my Demo CD for years to grab high quality MP3's of those songs, but nobody seems to have kept it.
Reasonable measures must be taken to protect business information and attorney-client privileged material, the policies say, but there is no specific mention of the handling of personal data such as medical and financial records.
