  1. Marketing? Yeah Right! on Sony Behind Fake YouTube Viral Campaign · · Score: 0

Sony officially sucks at marketing (or their choice in the people who do it for them). Honestly, look at the site, over 2000 comments about how much gamers hate this kind of garbage. This won't spike sales of PSP's, it will do the opposite. People don't want to hear "LOLZ11!!1one for R34lz!". I for one, HATE astroturf. As far as advertising goes, this will work as well as a flightsuit and a "mission accomplished" banner behind you.

  2. Ahhhh... on Sony Probably Going To Do PlayStation 4 · · Score: 0

Now I can sleep at night, knowing that if I ever buy a ps3, it will be replaced by a $1000 PS4 computer that has no Discs and plays games over the internets (finally). However, it will still use the same controller as the ps1, and will have the same amount of games and support as the Atari Jaguar.

What. This is 2006 and nobody shot this with a video camera or webcam? Am I asking too much for a youtube video of floating animals? Sheesh. "today, a man turned water into wine, but nobody seemed to be looking. We do have these before and after photos though."

  4. Spore? on Piercing the Veil On Bioware's MMOG · · Score: 0

Why doesn't someone improve on the Spore engine (unique creatures breeding) for the basis for an RPG? Give a few restraints for certain "species", but let people make the animal look like whatever they want within limits. I know this would be a mess for modelers to make armor and such, but the world would be dynamic. This would also create unique creatures. An evolution approach to mobs. The strong (high level) survive, and the game becomes progressively harder, while continuing to get new mobs without any developer input. Just thinking outloud

You sony trolls are rediculous, fuzzy math and believing what every PR person at sony says to get a million units by mid december? I heard they only launched 200,000, also, i doubt they'll meet 100,000 every week, it took them 3 months to make 200,000-400,000. Even if you are right and 1 million ps3's by mid december, so? What games do you plan to play on the thing? RFoM? Enjoy.

Imagine the lawsuit payout you'll get this time around for the lasers that break, like the ps2 settlement! Keep your receipts kids, hell, tape it to the system, the blu ray laser might cost $599 to repair. On second thought, the ps3 battery might explode into flames, better keep that receipt in a fireproof safe. from 1 million to 200,000? I'd be fired if I only performed at 20%!

Not nearly as much puking involved as DDR. I could see it as helping new guitar players improve their dexterity, but apparently, if you have all that nifty equipment to be in a band, this game isn't exactly aiming at you now is it.

  24. Doesn't have anything to do with IT on IT and Divorce? · · Score: 1

I believe that this has nothing to do with IT, it has to do with addiction and time. This country works too much for it's own good, and that seems to be emphisised in IT jobs. My brother-in-law is a web developer and every other weekend he spends all 3 days at work because he has to update the site. This is hard on my sister (his wife), but she understands it's what he has to do. If he worked late every night and came home and sat on the computer (which most IT people do) it really begins to eat at the marriage. Addiction is addiction, whether it is work (IT), games, or anything else. Open a conversation with the people you interact with. Talk to your wife about what she needs for the marriage to work, and don't blame your job. If you want to work less hours, you can, find a way, move into a smaller house if you can't afford it. This country is in trouble though, since most familys have both parents working, and they still can't afford their bills. If we keep this up, this is going to get real bad. Why do you think there has been almost 10 kids at school with guns in the past 2 months? Both parents work. Don't blame IT for this. Anyone who works to much will have the same problem

  25. Silly People on 500 Miles on a 5-Minute Recharge? · · Score: 1

No, nobody would want that power shot into their homes, that kind of electricity could really hurt someone, I agree with the people, this would work like gas stations. However, i think most people would be ok if this car charged for 500 miles in 10-15 minutes, cutting the electricity needed in half/third to go 500 miles. This would cause the landlines to be safer (relatively). It could charge 80% in 5 minutes still (I would think). However, I doubt this is a true device we'll see anytime soon, this is the next "OMg! ths car runz on th3 waterZ!1!" video to circulate the net. It will be vapor like Atom Chip Computers and many of the other too good to be true devices. Show me a prototype, show me the charging and how it works, and i'll be on board. (I would like to see a prototype so if it does exist, and then disappears, we can hunt down the oil companies.)
