My understanding is that the ps3 version was 'crippled' or not created to its full potential due to the 360 drawbacks of DVD and potentially no HDD.
I think they should be able to make "HDD Required" 360 games. And even "HD-DVD Required" games. It'd piss a lot of people off but I'd buy a HD-DVD drive if there was a distinct benefit, game-wise.
I definitely second eMusic, but the only complains I hear from the people I recommend it to is that it doesn't have the music they want.
I don't know if it is the Top40 type stuff they can't find but their catalog has almost anything I've ever searched for. Tons of good underground/indie music as well as established artists.
I believe the Sixaxis has tilt sensors only, not accellerometers. (I know you were joking but at least I didn't answer your sarcasm with some type of math equation explaining the whole thing)
I was holding out for a Wii. Two weeks after Christmas I couldn't take it and bought a 360. I am happy with the system, although I can only find an hour or two per week to play on it; therefore, I have no good reason to buy a Wii now.
I used TZEdit.exe on my 7 servers (mix of 2003 Server x64 and 2000 server). Then I rolled out KB931836 to the XP workstations (about 100 of them) by adding the path to the KB931836.exe to the login script with a/quiet tag.
Then I downloaded the Intelliadmin program to verify a couple of the XP workstations and it seems to have worked like a dream... guess I will find out on Monday:p
And in all fairness, this guy isn't writing the editorial 13 months from now. If I buy a console this weekend, it is because I want to use it now, along with its current offerings. It's not me planning ahead for what might be available for it one year from now.
People who take an easier path and put personal time first tend to progress further than those who work harder on their careers at the expense of personal time.
maybe not. It all depends on what you define as progress. If I can afford to live comfortably, I consider social and personal progress more important.
The Head of State of Sealand (Michael) has stated that although they are providing a safe-haven for people to do some things on the intertubes that may be illegal in most of the world, they will not be getting into kiddie porn, spamming, or hacking. Mostly file sharing and gambling....
The downside of "next generation" gaming (or previously for many years with the PC), where patches can be downloaded and applied on the fly, is developers are starting to care less about releasing games with bugs, because (whether they intend to or not) there is always the option of fixing the bugs after the game has shipped. This is a terrible habit and is becoming a trend.
And the name of the game is Battlefield 2142, not Battlefield 2: 2142. I'd mod you to hell if I could.
If the game gave any indication (aside from its retail price) that it is anything more than a mod for BF2, then you have a point.
However, I think the title BF2:2142 is both fitting and hilarious
P.S.: I have no intention supporting this project, which development started on way before BF2 was actually working properly. And I use the term "working properly" fairly loosely.
I think the people who are too afraid to look "stupid" while playing a video game are the same people that won't play a system with a name as "stupid" as Wii.
Walking stick analogies; The new car analogy!

Sometimes /. comments stress me out.
The Whammy bar on the 360's guitar sure gets its dangle on.

just wait until you get married and she will stop touching your wii altogether.

You need to meet some smarter people.
Typically, people don't count that type of thing either. Are you taking a parenthecencus?
If you read that post out loud, the word Whiskey seems to lose all meaning.
somewhat commendable.

Then join your IT dept and come up with a way to make that a convenient system to manage. Until then, stop bitching.
And I doubt Vista comes on 5.25 inch floppies anyway so you don't need to worry about missing out.

Problem solved really. Its not for them.
