Which is exactly what I did the first time I tried to watch it, since I confused "interactive" with "shift things about and see what happens". I still rather like it though, after I managed to just watch it and see what it did.
I love how, in the midst of this tech talk, there is comparison being made between 1/3 and 4%. Reminds me of that problem with the space craft and metric.
Now I have the Reboot opera in my head, requiring yet another trip to youtube. I had great hopes for Tron when it came out, but it took Reboot to have the magic.
And I know it was ages ago. And I am sure I will see the new one, eventually.
Not sure why, but the "hammer to the head" idea in the video makes the whole story lose whatever funny it had. Maybe it's just me and over-over-over-dramatization.
My parents heard too much from me about the wonderful things on the internet, including using Net-meeting with an online pal in Australia. I think they were afraid that getting internet access would complicate their lives, so no matter how much I tell them about the convenience of email as opposed to playing phone tag, they won't.
Maybe I need to show them Geriatric1927 on YouTube. He got to meet the Queen and all.
Anyone else have a case of the stubborns to deal with?
Nick Begich is his brother, having written the book about the HAARP array (or whatever you call it) and their famous father disappeared in a plane crash over Alaska. So you have this well known family up there which is very cool. Yes, I am a sucker for anyone who I have heard on the radio, but I am not an American, so I can't vote based on my silliness.
When is there ever a guarantee when it comes to electrical? Things frizzle, large areas have no power, cables wear out, the list goes on.
2009? I see this being a long project indeed.
And when said "child" is sent to school where social networking sites are blocked, they simply find a mirror site. Nexopia....oh, the horrors of that one!
You can't supervise them all the time once they are older teens. Then again, if my parents had heard the sort of conversations I had on the phone.....
*snicker*
I was being all serious and trying to concentrate on this being very sad till you said that. Now I am imagining a wonky legged fellow wandering up to the dish, all short sided.
I always wonder why they can't just quickly take some pics and skin samples or biopsy style removing a bit and then wing the poor thing back where it came from. I may be the only one here who thinks they (octiSpuidPi) are cool to look at, but not on the menu. Gag.
My whole family is on both. I must have done something seriously wrong when they were young. At least I'm the only one on here too, so they may still have a chance...
Indeed. If a both a Ramones video and a Bloc Party video have had less than 30 views in over a month then this is unknown territory. The Shakira fans have been trying a little harder, I admit. So I favourited a random bunch, just to see how long they last.
This was one of the best "Slashdot causes me to waste 2 hours" days so far!
Having never heard of this before, I went to check and found that my hotmail password gets me in the door. One of the first things I found was Metallica. Now that's pretty funny.

And this forum would need to be 3/4 Canadian or we would get the "Not available in your area" message?

Why do I feel like heading for snopes.com?
That may be so, but they all take part in EuroVISION, so they have a foot in the door....

I was wondering about "long story shut". Forgot what the topic was at that point.

Funny you should say that, makes more sense than my "someone doesn't want Eurovision videos seen online" theory.
Thanks. I now have the "Don't take my spam" song in my head. Funny site though!

Well if it works like Babelfish, the user should have some amusing faux-pas indeed. Just stay away from diplomats.
I thought I was being dense for thinking it meant only weather could remove it, imagining all those desks being lugged outside when it rains.

Flogged.
Me three. But I'm impressed that 229 people so far do. (Not that I have any idea which ones are clueless).
I'm sure Richard Hoagland will explain this on Coast. And will sound much like the above post, while Art Bell sighs impatiently.
Um....change the time the alarm is set to go off, no?
