Fish, and more accurately, fish eggs need a fairly steady Ph to live. If the Ph drops below about 6 then fish eggs won't hatch and if it goes too high the adults start to die off as well. 6-8 is the best range and we propose to change the Ph is what is already natures delicate balance!! Will we never learn?
I haven't bothered to upgrade IE since my last format. Why would I, I use FF3 and it's amanzing! It's not a matter of not wanting the newer Microsoft browser, it a matter nf not wanting a Microsoft browser at all!!
Am I the only one sho does notsee a problem here? Get Vista, sell the product key to someone unsuspecting fool and then install an old copy of XP SP2. Of course the product key might not work since it might be some Dell/XP cooperative scam, who knows. At any rate, $20 - $50 is a small price to pay for a computer that actually runs !!
It seems pretty simple to me. I have a 3 year old at home that seems to find it funny to throw DVD's, CD's etc. For me, a mod chip is simply a way of safeguarding the original copies of the games for my Wii by only using copies of the games that I own. I am only copying games that I legitimately own and I have a good reason for doing it. Am I a criminal?? NO!!!
Funny you should say that. I live in Canada and there is now a government fund dedicated to getting older cars off the road. If you trade in your car that's 1996 or older and buy a new one you get a few hundred dollars as a reward. The government claims this is to get older, less fuel efficient and higher poluting cars off the road. After reading the posts here it seems like maybe the government fund is meant to make people buy new cars to get more money into out economy and that's it!
In car technology could become an auful lot easier and safer to use. This technology could easuly be ported to things such as changing songs and volume on an in car MP3 player and requesting directions to a GPS device. This could make driving more enjoyable and safer at the same time!
I know the post says that multi touch is a copy from the MAC but really...I was using multi touch on my MAC 4-5 years ago. Just how far behind is Windows going to get before people stop using it? All hail MAC OS and of course, Linux
I'm all for the theory that if you attack us we will defend ourselves. The "you" in that sentence does not matter, in other words, if an ant bites us we step on it, if a dog bites us, we kick it and if an enemy country uses pereonnal computers to attack us, we use botnet.
Just a thought,
If aligators and crocs are some of the most succesful animals on the planet and some of the oldest 9which is scientific fact) then isn't the "price" worth it.
Cocroaches will one day rule the world!
The deeper MS digs the better Apple becomes. Hopfuly Win7 will flop as we all expect it will and we will be one step closer to an apple rules computer world where backwards compatability is normal and the blue screen of death doesn't even exist!
"Voting is a privilege, not a right as some would have us believe."
I need for you to point out to me in the Constitution where you got that ridiculous assertion.
Amen to that. Voting is a right, a right that should be thought of as a privilege, but a right none the less. The media should feel responsible for having just as much coverage and enthusiasm for proving falsehoods to be incorrect as they do for printing the slander in the first place. Not all of us have the 20-30 hours that it would take to be truly informed. Lets face it, the media IS what informs us
Just a thought, you should walk into....well any store that sells TV's really, and look around. 90% of the units in the store are HD. They have dropped in price hugely and continue to do so, the TV that I bought for $850 was $800 only 3 months later and some of the boxing day sales for HD TV's were too good to be true. HD TV's are here!
It would not take 4 years to do that though. Based on relative positions over a few months (lets say even a year due to difficulty acquiring telescope time) they can extrapolate the orbit. 4 years is quite excessive.
I say it's well worth the wait though!!
Next on the market is a house with 5 rooms for rent. Only 2 rooms are available for use, the other 3 can be purchased later on and if not used will simply sit empty and rott!
Sound familiar to anyone?
smart economics...I don't think so.
Does nobody else see that this is just MS buying out the competition. it's true that they will run the company they buy into the ground, tey always do but then there will be less competition and more MS. Sound like a familiar pattern?
The concept of tecnobrega as discussed in the article is an interesting one. If you are planning on being a stage band and making your money off of the shows you perform then it's great. However what happens if that's not our thing. For a hugely sucesful artist who's shows are sold out they are being stolen from with no added benefit at all. This "tecnobrega" only favours the new or the unsuccesful.
The government gives tax benefits for driving hybrid vehicles and I believe they should do it for energy efficient computers as well.
"According to the Computer Industry Almanac Web site, at the end of the year 2000, there were 168.84 million computers in use. The projection for the end of 2001 is 182.24 million." So just imagine how many there are now!
With that many computers, many of which are never turned off, the energy savings could be enormous.
Somebody wants a free Ipod!
I hope Apple does not give in to this individual. Too many people think they can make up and LIE they want about a large company and they will be bought off to keep quiet. Does this remind anybody else of a lawsuit for cofee being too hot at McDonnalds?
Personally I'm seeing a striking similarity between that comment and Taliban mentality. Hate being brought down through the generations, that's exactly what that comment represents. Yes, our fathers fought their fathers but that was then and this is now. The people who made the decisions that lead to, amongst other things, the attack on Pearl Harbor are no longer in charge. Guess what, they haven't been for a LONG TIME! Are you the type of person who is still mad at that bully that beat you up in grade 2?
If drinking diet coke, being exposed to the sun on a cloudy day and cell phones cause cancer just imaging what this thing on your lap would do to your...boyz!:-(
For once I do want to sound mean in a post. Your comments on "suffering" discust me! You attemps to use big words and theory to conclude that animals do not suffer like humans. I own 2 dogs and when one goes to the vet you would think the other one just lost part of it's own body. When the younger one got fixed there was definate suffering suring the early stages of recovery. if it makes you feel better to say that they do not suffer like us then by all means, sit there and feel great. However I think you are VERY VERY wrong

Anyone else think it's a little convenient that this technology is coming out right at Election time?

First of all...All hail Java and it's multi-planform goodness. I say a Flash take over is just what is needed. Second of all....FIRST POST :)
