    What are the best distros with a live CD to try out the current state of Gnome and KDE? Hopefully ones where the desktop is not too modified.. I've been running Mint Mate edition for a couple of years now, so I'm curious how Gnome 3 and KDE have evolved.

    I've been using the planet waves cables for years, too. Nothing worse than cracking and popping blasting through the house PA because you're using a crappy cable!

    Curious how the pumps communicate with the POS system in the office, some other type of network? Too bad the updates can't be sent via that network.

    Food *is* cheap in Mexico. You can get a kilo of limes for $1, but here in Canada, $1 will get you one lime.

    What I noticed in Mexico, is that anything locally produced (food, clothes, alcohol, etc) is very cheap, anything imported (electronics, imported clothes, etc) are more expensive even than here in Canada.

    Yeah, and you can always trust the users. Like when they say "it got wet", which means they dropped it in the toilet. Or "it suddenly stopped working" which means they dropped it in the parking lot and a car ran over it.

    Me too, on my 5S it seems the same or maybe a tiny bit faster. Actually the update seems pretty minor compared to previous major version number updates. I have had a few glitches, the auto-rotation has gotten stuck a couple of times which never happened before the update. And in the youtube app it's much harder to scroll forward and backwards in a video, but I'm not sure if this is due to an update in youtube or the iOS.

    As a techie, I learned the technical stuff fairly easily, it's the artistic part that's hard.
