I FOUND A PICTURE OF THIS
there's a pic of this fellow with the jawbone growing in his back over on CNN...
wierd, but not too gross I guess -
Things to watch in the network control room
Get some security cameras that let you see the outside world. Put up the satellite weather image. Put up a display of Internet traffic worldwide. Keep CNN with captioning on a screen. This gives the impression you're on top of things.

Re:Sounds easy.
The camera angle on this suggests contact, but looking closely from the lack of shadow I would say that the goalkeeper had no contact with the player.
What is clear (despite the angle) that there is no way the goalkeeper could have saved the goal from his position had no players been there. Contact with the goalkeeper is only a foul if a player obstructs the goalkeeper.
Otherwise any goalkeeper would just have to make contact with any player to null goals. -

CNN website = Powered by Novell
The idea of what is probably the most highly trafficked website in the world running on IIS due to a Microsoft takeover has endless comedy potential. Check out the lower right corner of the front page currently.

Oh well
I still think Raghad Hussein is a little hottie.
-
That's a great idea!
I'd like to bet about a milllyun dollars that about five minutes after this scheme came into effect, somebody (okay, me) would be spamming the entire world with an email that included links to images like this one, that one, maybe even this one, and because I'm a non-discriminatory irritant, this one. And you convinently block them all yourself.

Re:Should gf be worried?
Did you see the face of that damn robot? If that's an accurate resemblance of his girlfriend, I think he should be the one worrying.
My advice? Spend time making the robot resemble Elizabeth Hurley or someone instead. He might find it more useful. -
Re:BIBLE?!?!?!
FYI, your link results in a 404... hopefully this one will work better. http://i.cnn.net/cnn/2004/TECH/internet/01/26/mik

Re:Not bad.
Seriously, those looks will get harder now, because Saddam has grown long beard and will appear on all photos like that.
They already shaved him.

Re:Not bad.
Despite a careful search no WMD was found, it turned out to be nothing but bad breath.

Re:Nothing new here - He is BLACK???
Ok. How about this picture. Do you see a black man or a white woman?

Re:There goes a lot of good things...
It's quite obvious that the friend of teen crackers the World over, Mr. Johansen, is producing these cracks of his as a way of escaping the confines of his extremely distasteful mug!
He must feel like he himself has been encrypted, trapped within a shell that must be cracked open to release the true Jon Lech Johansen. -
they even look a little alike

Re:A thought
That is somewhat of an interesting thought... If I was still taking sociology classes I would love to do a study on the correlation between weight and virus writing in programmers.
I don't know if anyone has been paying attention but the last wave of virus authors have been pretty fat. -
Re:The fight of the century!
I wonder how much CNN paid for a picture of her sitting in front of the computer and an interview.

Re:12.5MPH, 7.6 Miles, 2.5 hours?
Yes, they used the road.
See the picture. -

Whose idea was it to put Saddam in charge of Iraq in the first place?

And the FUD of the year award goes to...
One of the choice quotes from the National Grocer's Association:
"You do give up a bit of privacy but the benefit could be that you live"
Wow. That's just about the most amazing one-line FUD I've ever read! That's even better than the usual "extended warranty" scam... you know, "buy this utterly reliable product, then buy the extended warranty because you never know when it will break."
In other words, the spokesman for the National Grocers Association is telling us that we are at risk of death every time we enter a grocery store. Thanks for the warning! I guess I'd better go back to raising my own meat rabbits.
Just for irony's sake, check out the NGA's Competing Against Supercenters page, which features "8 Ways to Beat Wal-Mart". Which, of course, is the company that started this whole topic.
On the plus side, I want that AP Photo of the ant among the chips for my desktop! -
Re:and like - shock horror...
However the article does a lot to enhance the "gamers are geeks" sterotype.
Don't belive me? Look at the kid in the picture. -

Re:But is it him?
I have reason to believe they may have snagged Ron Jeremy instead! Don't believe me, do a side by side comparison of "Mohammed" and Ron Jeremy. Only one way to know for sure, though.

Re:Fatal Flaws
If your store is truly dependent on being able to survive in this scenario, there would be a market for a battery-powered device that would scan the card and debit from it (I assume using the cellular network). It would seem possible looking at this picture.
-
Re:Fatal Flaws
Just as with a credit card or current cash cards that (most) stores use, there would probably be a section of raised lettering that would carry the card's ID number. In fact, if you look at the picture closely, you can even see the numbering.
The main roblem the I see with this is how does business get done then the system is down / power is out? You wouldn't be able to access the DB that store all of the card information, and therefore wouldn't have any way of verifying if there is money on the card that somebody is using or not. -
