Re:Nice....
Good luck getting ethics board approval for infecting a bunch of East African to see what happens.
Whatever you say, dude! As if the kind of people (eugenicists and their NWO ilk) capable of pulling such an atrocious stunt - as they've consistently shown themselves - would run it by an ethics board first. ROFL!
Seriously, drink your kool-aid (ahem... flouridated tap water) and be sure not to visit this page.
Go on, take the blue pill; trust me, it's a lot less disturbing...

Re:Why should I worry?
How far till we are 'chipped' at birth?
It is somewhat unnerving when evil things mentioned in books and old TV shows become reality.
Get with the times! First it was pets, then it was humans. For now, it's not mandatory, but rich parents can indeed chip their kids "at birth" (sometime afterwards, but close enough) - or each other, or themselves or whatever. There was a company trying to pass a law making it legal for companies to be able to require their employees to be chipped (RFID supposedly, but nearly as bad).
Search Google for human GPS chip if you don't believe me.
Here's a few to get you started:

Re:Revelation 13:16-17
"SS numbers, ID Cards, Etcetera" My point being that people have been interpreting things as the number of the beast, I would imaging since the revelations was written. The fact that it is happening in India is nothing new.
People in the US have stated that they think the SS number is the mark of the beast http://www.greaterthings.com/Conspiracy/SSN_SocialSecurityNumber_666/ I am sure that before that there are tons of other marks of the beast.
Maybe they all are and we are damned, maybe you are only damned if you believe that you are. That is the beauty of religion. Belief makes it real, at least the the believers. -
Re:It wasn't a scamYou should have seen their "detailed" psuedoscientific claims referring to their revolutionary lead-acid batteries... I offer a few quotes:
the proper use of the overpotentials in these double surfaces can produce current that moves against the voltage.
in addition to the external charges of molecules and atoms that they normally consider, there are also ongoing a huge variety of nuclear currents and charging that presently do not appear in any book on batteries
Again, we leave further analysis along that line to the experts, only appealing to them that time-reversal effects must also be considered.[Emphasis mine]
And that is just scratching the surface, here: http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Tilley/how/bob_colvin_bearden.htm ... that is, before the author gets into the whole "Big Energy is going to buy us and silence us or kill us!" -
Will somebody please. . .+5 Insightful?
Will somebody please mod this person correctly?
How many documented civilian deaths since 2003 is Pakistan responsible for? (In ONLY one other country?) --For that matter, what percentage of its own citizenry does Pakistan keep in prison as compared to the U.S.?
Just because our TVs are filled with lots of colorful distractions, and our homes are nicely replete with Walmart furnishings, it does not stand true that all is right with the world. The Military Industrial Complex requires for effective functioning that a portion of its gear box be well-oiled. If you were a good little rally-attending German citizen, then life in the late thirties was also pretty good. If one is to guage the state of our governments, one needs to care about how people other than ourselves are being treated by those governments.
Also. . . People in North America are concerned about such disturbing trends as the large number of empty prison camps built on U.S. soil, and the whole Black Water thing.
I can see many reasons for people to be concerned about the U.S. government. Outward shows of totalitarianism, like having the internet lock up for a day because of religious/political dogmatic beliefs, are certainly impressive. I can't find anything in the news to soften my own reaction to the Pakistani government. But "Who is worse" arguments seem to me a distraction. There are problems all over which should all be recognized. Getting caught up in nationalism is a great way to lose focus on the actual issue.

Re:This is evil
Indeed this could be the start of a slippery slope but there are certain ways to beat this system, such as putting the phone down and walking away.
Any kid could simply leave the phone in his/her bedroom and still sneak out the window while any surveillant parent using only this technology would only see the location of the phone instead of acting like actual parents and personally checking up on them once in a while.
There is a company called Digital Angel which is working on a product which is in essence an implantable GPS tracker that parents can place in their children. It is also described in certain circles as "The Mark of the Beast" because it is without exception the start of a slippery slope that as always starts out with the best of intentions.
On the surface it looks like every responsible parents dream come true because God forbid anything happen to my child (i.e. serious injury, lost in woods, kidnapping) the chances of recovery are greatly increased without the added cost of a wide search party. However underneath there are the obvious privacy issues (IMHO children are not afforded privacy) but thinking more long range, should the situation ever arise that the people would demand greater security in the wake of, for example a series of terror attacks and a viable and inexpensive solution would be to implant the rest of the population with such tags and authorities could easily track any terror suspects in order to prevent any future attacks, but any high school sci-fi writer could see ways that this technology could lead to stripping of all personal freedoms and anonymity and lead to total authoritative domination when the government knows where you are at all times.
Personally I don't see this cell phone as cause for panic...yet. Since this only tracks the location of the phone and if your child is anything like me, they'd forget and leave it at home all the time. Besides, popping the battery is an easy way to disable any cell phone, but I think it's important to keep a close eye on how this technology is used. -

Consider it done, it's called Operation TIPS and got its own all seeing eye as a logo.

You should consider that these 'class` of people are librarians and anti-war protestors and when they come after you, there will be no one left to speak out.

Re:Picked up by mainstream press
I am a trusting person until someone proves they cannot be trusted, then I nail them.
http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Tilley/fraud/
Certain thing such as patents, engineering companies you can contact, etc.. go a long way toward the believability of a person's claim.
I've been had before, and I imagine I'll be had again.
But I prefer to go through live giving people the benefit of the doubt until they prove they don't deserve it. Then I really go after them to expose them for what they are. -
Re:Hmm... the submitter...
Quite an interesting mix of websites he administers there...
That's an understatement. Check out some of his articles:
George W. Bush was Complicit with the 911 Attack on America.
Was President Bush Behind Katrina?. Lest the title fool you into thinking Allan considers this a question:
U.S. Black Ops and other colluding extra-governmental shadow-entities have obtained significant mastery of weather engineering after decades of practice. The same cabal that brought us 911 has now brought us Katrina, to push the U.S. and the rest of the world closer to Marshall law.
This guy is a fruitcake. And he doesn't know how to spell "martial law".

This is why you don't need to worry.

they are already doing thisI believe they are already implanting people, and I don't mean UFO's either.
There are a few implants that they are doing. The first is in the ear (http://www.asha.org/public/hearing/treatment/coc
h lear_implant.htm). While this is normally not "computers", I have seen someone with an implant that has a wire coming out of their head, so that they can hear. It does have s speach processor, so it does have a processor. The second is the eyes, see here (http://www.news-medical.net/?id=8953).They also have RFID chips that they can implant people with (http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Chip_Implants/
) .They have a heart that is mechanical, but the FDA rejected that.

Re:Hey, so what? The US build these monsters ...
go to the page that links to that image...
http://www.greaterthings.com/Word-Number/Organizat ions/Echelon/
and you'll see that the author uses the words ecdysis and echidna to tell us why Echelon is so bad. Apparently they come either side of Echelon in his '71 Websters, so they must be related...
My point is that no matter how true your position is, we are more likely to accept it if you use exampels and proofs from someone on our side of reality. In fact, the less credible the source, the less likely we are to accept it at face value. -

Religion versus technologyI just cannot stand people like this that fear RFID is a step toward "the mark of the beast". First, religious groups said that Social Security numbers were evil, and now it is RFID targetted.
Can anyone point to technology that religion embraced in its infancy? I really would be interested. -
Why not allow cutting edge technology?
Jimbo, Considering the high calibur of your encyclopedia generally speaking, I am disapointed that you shun alternative energy technologies. You will not allow such topics as magnetic motors, gravity motors, etc, even though there is a growing body of claims and even evidence. It seems quite cowardly to not tackle these topics just because they are sometimes laughed at by the mainstream. Why will you not allow such bleeding edge topics to be addressed, identified as such? See PureEnergySystems.com and FreeEnergy.GreaterThings.com

Re:Conspiracy
Arbitrary eh?
I'm sure you think it is just a co-incidence that it overlaps a pre-existing PAGAN holiday.
If you are not entirely close-minded and completely brainwashed, take a look at this page:

The point of the matter is that christians for thousands of years now have been trying to snuff out competing religions / beliefs and substitute their own.

Fluoride up yours, not in my water...If Lindows is like fluoride in the water, then Lindows makes you stupid.
Sources at:
Indymedia: Rather sarcastic and somehow a flamebait, but still worth a read.
David Ickle's website: Independent scientific evidence repeatedly showing up over the past 50 years reveals that fluoride allegedly shortens our life span, promotes cancer and various mental disturbances, accelerates osteoporosis and broken hips in old folks, and makes us stupid, docile, and subservient, all in one package.
Another piece: Fluoride is intoxicating. Another here: Do I need to quote some more stuff? -
Re:They aren't really that great.
Actually, that isn't true. The Model T got about 25 miles to the gallon, while the modern Ford fleet averages 22.6 mpg.
Of course, the modern fleet has much better emissions, air conditioning, sound system, automatic transmission, etc.
See here for reference.

Re:More Tilley Info
BTW, what is up with the formatting on Slashdot? The comment form REFUSED to accept the URL correctly, it kept putting a space in the word 'raid'. That sucks a lot, and there is no reason for it work like that. How can anyone post a URL?
Slashcode automatically inserts a space after a certain number of characters. This is to keep long URLs (and trolls) from messing up the layout. You get used to it and remove the space after copying the address. If you want to make things convenient for others you could just use standard HTML linking:
<a href="insert URL here">Descriptive Text</a >
This way you get Those fancy links. -
Re:More Tilley Info
Nope. You have to post a link like http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Tilley/fraud/ra

HmmThis article claims to describe why this is indeed not a hoax. You might want to skip ahead and do a find for the following quote in the text:
"Thus they momentarily receive and collect excess energy from their increased asymmetry in their active vacuum exchange"
Can any EEs/physicists confirm or deny the physics behind this claim? It sounds very similar to todays other Slashdot article.

Re:regardless.
Shut up and obey your Illuminati Masters. You all sat around and did nothing when They destroyed the economies of countries like Russia and Argentina, thinking "It can't happen here". Well guess what? It's happening NOW. And you see those heavily armed troops on the streets? If you don't like it, they will kill you. BAD LUCK BUDDY! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LET IT GO THIS FAR! YOU LOSE! ALL OF YOU!

Re:Also used by 'hackers'I doubt AOL has anything to do with it. If you remember, CNN regularly employs a small division (corporate, not military) of U.S. Army Psyops people, you know, the guys that are supposed to brainwash and mislead the BadGuys. They (CNN) regularly tows the U.S. Administration's line, all too happy to report or not report things as the military sees fit. The news in this country has been biased for quite a long time (say, 70 years at least), so this isn't anything new.
There are some reports here, here, and here. A general thing from the military is here. I don't have time to find a more radical critique, as I'm in the middle of class.
My opinion though is that the executives are lying concering what they knew, it just isn't feasable that top corporate executives wouldn't at least gets a little wink wink from their secretaries or whoever. They may not have encouraged it, but they certainly acquised. The U.S. military has a long tradition, at least since the perpetual wars we've been fighting since Vietnam (read your history books, we've been in constant war since WWII), of actively manipulating the domestic press to suit its own purposes. In addition to active maniplation, they lie constantly in press briefings. Whether they have a good reason to do this, I have no idea, but they're certainly not acting like the Constitution decrees.
