Already been done, although those mainly blew up under cars or poked you in the hands ;-)

There is also The Street Fighter from 1974 but since I never found a wayin the game to play as Sonny Chiba ripping off a man's testicles and screaming at them I'm going to bet that the game wasn't that inspired by the movie.

I hope they don't make it like I played Spy Hunter:

1. Tractor-trailer drops off car
2. Drive for a couple minutes, shoot/run cars off of the road
3. Crash and burn
4. Wait for tractor-trailer to drop off another car
5. Repeat 2-4 until the movie's over.

It'll be a plotless version of Groundhog Day.

And I'm sure the engineers who designed it would agree with you 100%. The root problem as another poster pointed out was there wasn't enough money to do that. The budget was shoestring $50 million. You can't go to mars for less than it costs to make a movie about going to mars.

Kidding aside, Mr. Cumming, but how about using an unmunged email address here on Slashdot like I do?

My program, CF13, which I use to 'protect' iamcf13@hotpop.com, takes a 'I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!' approach to fighting spam and emailed fraud and malware. It is surprisingly effective!

All the spam I've received since 2004-03-15 08:30:58 UTC has been archived into a single file for easy perusal and deletion. If I wanted to, I could use an even more draconian version of CF13 that would delete most spam at the server level after just analyzing the email headers!

CF13 does not have the overhead or resource consumption that all other Bayesian-ish email filters have.

Rather than 'play games' with spammers, CF13 changes the rules of unsolicited email communications--making it virtually impossible for spammers to successfully deliver their unwanted messages.

As an added benefit, the current SMTP/POP3 email network infrastructure remains intact--making it unecessary to discard it for 'something new and improved' that doesn't have the widespread acceptance and reliability that SMTP/POP3 has.

Pretty dark, Orwellian film. Its VERY different from the SW films. You can see Lucas a young serious film maker with a dire outlook of the future in this film. The reviews of this movie are all over the place; some see it as an undestated masterpiece, others view it as boring pretentious crap. IMO, it was ok, but not great. The movie at best glosses over Nash's true situation and how it impacted his life and work. Sure, the movie was well done, cinematically interesting and had a lot of Jennifer Connelly in it, but other than that, it is not something you'd want to base a psychological assessment on.
