The reason for this
The software actually has higher than 8% success rate. They only have the public version set to false positive to 92% rate to cover their tracks.
It also aids in parallel construction . Many tools such as dog sniffers and facial recognition are used to hide the use of psi, a satellite grid that monitors us all through buildings and scans our brains/memories in automated fashion passing details into the minds of police covert agents in stealth. If they make a move to fuck someone up they will scape goat it on the facial recognition, the random stop and sniff/search etc -
Re:Sounds good.
not true. first of all we can switch to a socialism approach either basic income with equal pay for all or perhap Democratic communism approach where all things are provided free and no one owns anything artificially.
then what you will see is people making art free very similarly as free as in beer free. sort of like the open source and freeware software markets. when you give people a chance they will work for free or do work even when highly paid without a requirement to work. This is because tasks are fun and stimulating. people like problem solving and making things great.
we will see products way better than current ones because patents, copyright and capitalism slow down advancement and sabotage quality or entirely prevent things from being done because people high up won't authorize their production and payment or bankroll creativity.

guys I am an expert on this
homeland security was merely making fun of all the stupid fuck journalist who helped them cover up the NSA space capability known as Project Star Gate. they have been attacking people with space lasers for over 70 years dating back to 1930. I am hooked up with the NSA and CIA engineers on this. sites like muckruck and CNN help cover up the true scope of abuse of psychotronics.
visit my sites https://www.obamasweapon.com/ https://www.drrobertduncan.com... for more.
yes the government is tapping everyone's brains and they are altering people's brains and torturing their bodies with lasers. if they wanted they could cut a hole in your head right now while passing harmlessly through the walls of whatever obstacle you reside under.

Re:With Tablets is this even relevant anymore?
by the way I think I know about this.
I think the core issue with the $100 laptop was not even finding the components but finding people willing to make a solid piece of hardware except really low at cost prices.
then the next hurdle is who is going to pay: the United States isn't one to pay. other governments don't want to pay. got to remember this is a humanitarian project so if it isn't going to help enslave humanity and drive up costs and profits no one in America or elsewhere cares.
-
Re:With Tablets is this even relevant anymore?
eventually cheap netbooks were invented and tablets for $50 became a thing but at first there were probably issues with finding companies who even made cheap components that ran any recognizable software.
today a really high end tablet can be made for $150 with all the trimming such as near best of class cameras, 1080p or qHD, quad core, gigs of RAM, good sound and solid wifi.
but back then ?

Re:"Louder volume"?!
-
Re:converted "digitally"..
it sounds as if vinyl is not a good format if the original source is a digital audio file..
there is some "analog" noise added in apparently by the lossy conversion from digital to L.P. and then trying to read that information off the L.P. and run through the L.P. machine circuits.
it makes sense to just give people the original digital file in super HD format and bypass the L.P.. one can add in analog noise with tubes and digital / analog chips. save the environment do not manufacture anymore Los.
-
Re:"Louder volume"?!
higher signal to noise ratio (less sound signal loss) = more volume.

another psyop another day
look at that shit. cunt says they aren't in an AI arms race. they have it extensively weaponized already and it's decades old.
-
dont votes retarded
down votes aren't worth shit because it's well known the platform harbors many mentally deficient people. when they don't care or get things, they tend to go around trolling, and abusing others with negative comments. even if something is true for example, it gets downvoted here on Slashdot for example. it could be the most classified government information, or industry insider thing, but because the "sheep" here don't get it or agree even if it's the fact they "downmod."
come the fuck on. the internet is a joke show. keep the farce shit off facebook we don't need a downvote option.

this process is actually good
but not with the current legal system. the main problem is unlike Europe, there is no article 47 here granting a right to civil counsel. Instead, you are pro se, and might have no resources to prepare a case to defend your FOIA. This is the tactic the government is relying on to win. They know you cannot afford to bring a case in court, so you have a great risk to the judge siding with the government.
The benefit is in some cases you can bring your case, and a judge might side with you..

i agree with those stating apple is lying
I have repaired Samsung android and LG android phones. I have studied the guides. I have replaced screens.
I have also repaired by myself dell studio XPS and alienware laptops from replacement of the CPU, GPU, heatsink fan, and mobo, and more.basically every device I've seen is self repairable, designed to open up like nothing, and each component is generally separate easy to remove and replace. this includes the screen, mobo, camera lense, camera itself, cases, bezel, glass on the screen, etc.
one can actually remove just the glass from the screen of most devices easy, and replace it when shattered, re-using the LCD/touch sensor.
on eBay or other site, one can order brand new or refurb every component of every phone.
basically you choose your difficulty level. either you want to replace a shattered screen entirely by ordering a whole new LCD/screen kit, or you attempt to remove the old glass and re-glue on new glass to save some bucks. or you order a new mobo/CPU combo. you just drop in the component removing the old. you re-assemble the phone and you're good. if you break anything during the process you just order a new one of those too.
Apple claims this is somehow too difficult for individual people to do..? why is that? what's it to Apple if you fuck up your phone or something or do low quality repair? the phone is already damaged and used up anyway!
it's so easy a cave man can do it.

Re:1968?
the age of Aquarius was started by the CIA. they gave the drugs to CIA scientists around the country, mostly at prisons, universities, hospitals. typically professors at universities were responsible for recruiting students or test subjects to take random drugs, it was usually with them being unwitting in various ways, such as them hiding the fact it was done for the CIA in MKULTRA. other times they weren't even told what they were getting, and other times weren't even told they were getting it. numerous drugs including LSD, psilocybin, meth, cocaine, and other drugs were given. one test subject a student at Stanford named Ken Kesey, author of one flew over the cuckoo's nest, was tested on. he then took the drugs and did the Electric Acid Kool Aid test, where he drove across America doing parties giving the drugs out to people. they had home made LSD, and even some manufactured by the CIA, which was the more potent good stuff.
the drugs were designed/intended to aid in interrogation, mind control, and even turning people schizophrenic for the purpose of discrediting, etc.
the combo of Ken Kesey, who's from Eugene/Springfield OR like me, and I know many of his friends personally, and the CIAs testing at other universities literally led to the hippie movement and age of Aquarius. no joke.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
from what I know since Obama took office, human experiments with mind control really started to boom. the first LSD, laser lobotomy, and other research is now funded thanks partly due to Obama's Brain Initiative and the push by his administration to basically start up mkultra again publically.

here is what's up
his paper was trash, it had no purpose, it was designed to hurt females, and oppress them. it suggested his IQ was a little low, because he didn't see the full world for what it is. he didn't analyze how the existing work landscape formed, or why it existed. this is where you find the real reason women are disadvantaged. at the dawn of the United States, women were mere items to be owned, as were blacks. women and blacks were both slaves, enjoying only the freedoms their oppressors offered to them. women could not vote, work, or own property. it was men predominately that gave all the privilege to themselves, and they set off across America putting their names on all the land and resources, giving themselves the title deeds. later, blacks and women became slightly less enslaved, but the system of capitalism still existed which shifted the power over to who owned the money and resources. it was predominately men, who passed the wealth down in inheritances. women never got much of the money or resources, nor did blacks, even when they gained the right to vote, be free, go to schools, etc. till this day money and owned resources are the predominate deciders of status, including what schools you can get into, where you can go, what you will do in the world, and if you will have enough money to do it all. men continue to have so much money and resources, they can elect anyone they want, controlling who gets elected. the same is true within business, men are favored, favoring themselves, and keeping all the money and resources to their own. women are being barred from being given money and resources, and are being barred from being governors, presidents, senators, congressman and the like. it costs quite a bit of money to try to contend with mens money and resources, so few challengers make it very far.
women will continue to be oppressed for some time, because they aren't the owners of all the money and resources, men are. mostly white men too, blacks can't even hardly compete..
racism and sexism thus were installed into our very governance by the use of the capitalism system.

fuck with 911
why do we need the government to help us when they go around raping and torturing people? why should they have our precise location when they don't care about us and only want to take advantage of us?

it sounds like someone in Australia was 4 profit
they used an American for profit approach by accident, sabotaging their network deployment. everyone knows copper needs replaced entirely with fiber;
really I would try whoever deployed copper and hang them. it angers me so much like a murder or rape of an innocent had taken place.
a law should be passed world wide too: internet can only be deployed over fiber, not copper.

free data for life offer
actually this offer isn't exclusive. freedompop offers customers 200MB data free, plus a certain amount of text messages and minutes standard on every SIM card.

how the fuck
such a complete exploit, it seems more like it was put there deliberately for the government to access...
it makes no sense such exploit could come about by accident.

medical fraud at play
be careful. just because two doctors conclude the same or similar doesn't make it right. doctors frequently just back each other up following your chart notes in terms of diagnosis and are afraid to change diagnosis. you may not have a condition at all and still receive multiple false diagnosis. it's a really big problem if say you need medical care and you're in a prison or state hospital and you need care but they deny diagnosis; and if you don't need care for mental illness but they frame you to look mentally ill each doctor you see merely follows the previous doctors notes very rarely deviating or checking any of the facts. in the community doctors are usually closely associated and cook the books for insurance companies, cohorts and themselves to avoid liability and lawsuits. it can be hard to even find a doctor willing to do consults over another doctor who you accuse of abuse.

lets switch from capitalism to communism
capitalism requires people to make money to live and survive. to acquire their basic needs such as education, shelter, healthcare, and whatnot, and most never make enough to obtain these things entirely, you have to get money from somewhere. in this case spam generates enough revenue for many that they keep on doing it.
spam is not normally done as a cyber assault, but once people no longer were required to get money, perhaps the only 'spam' we'd be seeing was assault based, psychological warfare, and criminal behavior, which case police should arrest the people behind the spam.

Re:$10 for placebo quality
hearing the difference isn't so hard. I have no abx comparator but mp3 and aac are both huge downgrades. mathmatically they have so many limits they are half the quality or worse. they sound very metalic. the details are washed out. sounds clip. color is missing. noise is prominent. high frequency is cut off. some people listen with cheap equipment that does poor reproduction in which case the loss in quality is probably not of concern but for people like me with $1500 headphones and a $300 DAC with 130dB SNR/dynamic range even the smallest static or noise difference can be heard plus all the other differences..
as such I am forced to buy CD music because none of the online services have lossless.. also to get HD I have to pirate because the cost is so much more expensive than Ads.
my headphone set up: Westone W8
DAC LG v20 with quad DAC -
Re:Not that expensive
that's extremely expensive. $50 for some over compressed low resolution garbage at home streamed over my slow internet that isn't gigabit fiber, without the beautiful 4K laser IMAX, nor the Dolby rumbling seats and thunderous bass effects?
fuck that. i'll keep going to the theater for the Dolby IMAX 4K Laser experience at AMC Empire 25 or similar place. sure the popcorn and soda is expensive but that's why I sneak in snacks most of the time.
total price for two at AMC Empire 25: $40 bucks.

Google is admitting the more patents/copyright sux
google admits the more patents and copyright you have the more restrictive business and innovation got. you couldn't create products, or innovate yourself.
here's the truth. the further you kill copyright/patents, the easier it gets to innovate, and do business yourself. rather than be reliant on copyright/patents to be a monopoly on content, you must invest your money continuously and fast, in order to have the best products and technology on the market, otherwise someone will outdo you and put your business out of business. currently patents/copyright prevent investment and innovation, because companies are safe that no competitor can rise even if they can do the same thing as you, and this creates a monopoly for those who own the patents and copyrights.
when a patent is in effect, companies like to delay technology deployment so as to milk that particular patented technology, while competitors are barred from entry to the market. then they move onto the next slight improvement of said patented technology, while a treasure trove of tech is held back because it's the next slight revision of tech they'll deploy next. that's basically business today.
sad but true.

Re:normal people are very affected by the stuff
Yeah ogrish type stuff can hurt a person. I could see the gore causing a persons brain to get fucked up, although it might be a temporary effect but the kiddy open stuff I don't think has a negative effect it just gives you a boner. Seriously its just sex like adult porn which everyone uses and doesn't get PTSD from.
-
It sounds made up
I dont think these people got PTSD. I happen to be friends with a neuropsych who does QME evals for California- majority like 90% of people who come in claiming a work place injury are faking it to try to get out of work. He'll start off his testing and if they exhibit signs of faking he will give it to them straight: either walk out of my office now and I will write the testing wasn't completed or, finish up and I'll write you were faking.
I just don't think humans get PTSD that easily and the condition itself is mostly non-existent- people have the diagnosis but don't have the symptoms from the DSM which sound psychotic. I bet this guy is faking like a motherfucker. Its the perfect crime. Each component of the lawsuit crafted to extract some dollar off Microsoft- it might work it might not but really all these mother fuckers saw was some kids bholes. The guy wants to make it sound bad because he knows the general public hasn't seen any kids bholes and they will think there is some kind of negative trauma from seeing it when scientifically its no different than seeing adult bholes at the most he ever got was a boner he secretly whacked off to routinely.

Re:AMD has
What the poster is saying is there is no reason not to have ECC. Corruption of bits is very easy and its one of the secret NSA hacking tools (space based weapons corrupt- read- write RAM).
When all you need is a few extra bits and some correction mechanism why the fuck not use it? It costs the same to make too.
ECC unfortunately cannot stop space based hacking but it can guard from some attacks at least.

so they're emitting tracking ultrasound :(
this is bullshit. a cop / law enforcement could use this to walk around and receive identity information without even needing to interferometry scan your brain/DNA/pocket book full of ID/credit cards/cellphone etc.
this also enables low tech citizens to perform the same feat. often times once a low tech person has info about you such as tracking ID, IP address, phone number, address, name, social security number, date of birth+location information, or email address they can take that to databases and find out mounds of information about you- basically all that data the companies have amassed about you, is retrievable with any identifiable information. NSA databases work the same way.

the issue was
price and lack of need to replace existing TVs. nobody cares to be hyped. no one wants to rush out and buy new stuff all the time. the industry thought we would be in to having intercourse with them, so they pre-maturely removed their pants but we didn't want intercourse this time.
people will buy 3D TVs only if they are priced the same as regular TVs, and only then when they are in the market to buy a new TV say when their old one breaks down and needs replaced.
TV is not that hot of content. no one actually gives a crap about it.

Re:Sweet
I have a $300 oxygen free copper coated with silver, cryogenically frozen down to -300c for five days, which will be made useless by this. this cable accompanies by $1500 headphones, Westone W80.
and here's my problem. the headphone jack on existing units is actually smaller than the micro USB and USB C ports. the USB C port and cabling also is flimsy, and twice the width of a headphone jack. I would not want to be using it for headphone audio under any circumstances. I can picture any type of DAC/USB C adapter being quite large and possibly destroying the signal by the time it gets to my high quality $300 cable.
then you have Bluetooth which transcodes all your audio into lossy formats destroying the audio even more. they do many a Bluetooth cable for my headphones but the audio loss of AAC/apX is quite large over a lossless signal traveling over my cryo cable.

Re:What's the big deal?
By the way I found out they might not have went non nude in Germany yet. Take a trip over to playboy.de it has tits exposed. Playboy.com has no tits after the switch up to non nude
.. -
Re:What's the big deal?
I started to think. If I saw naked men or men in their underwear I don't honestly think they're being objectified.
I understand women have beef with capitalism though. That's where you can't feed yourself, house yourself, go to school/college, pay for things you need unless you work, such as by modeling, including nude modeling, art, and porn.
Well they hate the fact that they are taught to keep their clothes on most of their lives and its sin to remove clothes then suddenly capitalism is trying to force them to do it, or afford some the opportunity to do it for a profit. The complainers can't even stand people that don't feel its objectification because they have found outs its ok, a revenue stream and very artistic. The ones with issues against it simply have their own personal world view against it but yet still generally consume it and benefit from it. Its a very odd thing. No one complaining actually fully avoids or it or actually dislikes it inside they just say they do.
I personally would hate society without nudity, sexuality, female and male gender and bodies.. Its very tasteful and artistic. Its very stylish and simulating. If we actually erased it that would be seriously sad.
I do like the idea of giving people their basic income, free housing and stuff first before having people do porn, art, modeling, dance etc. That way at least they have no reason to go into it unless they personally enjoy it.

I already know some flaws of the bill
Surveillance and investigation isn't so bad. The problem is the people doing it are corrupt, continuing to lie and deceive the public. The thing missing from the bill is the public can't investigate officials for abuse or crime, only the public are the targets and those working for the government are white listed to conceal the crime they wish and do whatever crime they wish. Its a true license to kill sort of thing.
The other thing is they forgot to disclose they were still secretly using satellites and military radar to scan peoples homes, brains, and bodies for thought and memory extraction. They also forgot to say they have remotely interrogated and tortured the fuck out of some people and even killed people secretly with it.
Those are the deepest secrets of this bill; the bill was passed mostly to cover up all the crime the state has done that they don't want prosecuted for and they don't want the public to ever find out the full truth.
I know the black world and special access programs well. I know they want to hide their surveillance capabilities because they can be used on officials to uncover their conspiracies and crime all of which are being covered up and protected.
Fix these issues then you got a bill.

Re:Give up noney for security
Furthermore the only way or goal to obtain free stuff:
Put it in the constitution. Solidify it. And put the tax rate on the rich in there too.
The rich will still be wealthy even with the high tax rate.
The idea is if society is free- from riding the metro bus and rail around, to getting the highest end education, to living in an upscale house, to having a nice car, to flying on a plane for free, and all that then people will be secure in their persons and effects and not hack, scam, and exploit or abuse as much.
It has to be a worldwide resolution as well. All countries and land must be forced into the system. Otherwise while countries built on fraud, abuse, and exploitation will continue to bully, enslave and impact everyone else.
If there isn't profit motive so extreme to doing something people simply don't do it.
You also do need strict laws against such abuses as well. Currently the laws are not enforced or don't exist to tackle the modern issues.
I do know our government's aren't for peace and that's why none of this has been done yet.
People will continue to work, create, and serve in society even without great profit motive. Look at open source software, the internet, and all the free work that gets done from creating whole communities, to making various companies products what they are like facebook and Twitter who make billions off us without reimbursement, to making art, to educating ad teaching for free, to coding and tech support that people do for free.
-
Give up noney for security
If you give up money- by taxing the rich and creating socialism you might get security. Here is why: you have to take out the profit motive from hacking by giving people good lives for free even if they are broke and disadvantaged. This then will reduce the amount of scams, hacking, spam and other bullshit. Currently ti get by in life many are forced to steal, become drug dealers, prostitutes, sex workers, spammers, hackers, etc.
I would wager the only reason the spam box exists is poverty and need to profit off the internet and capitalism anyway you can.
I would say the only reason you have hackers taking over machines and demanding randsom is because money is otherwise hard to come by.
People are food insecure, housing insecure, education depleted, etc.
But trust me there's plenty of money to pay for it all you just have to tax the 1% of the world by like 90% and suddenly a free society for all can be built that everyone can rely on by default with free housing, basic income, workers rights and vebefits, children/animal and human rights, etc.
The more you kill the profit motive the more secure and healthy society becomes as you will have less reliance of fraud, abuse and exploitation to survive. Its pretty much a rule.

Re:This guy is an idiot
What if I told you every truly great American invention was never heard about at all in the public realm. That's how secret classification really is. They can keep entire sciences and art hidden and build up weapons and surveillance all around you using the new techniques and capability and no one will even find out for decades and decades likely forever

https://www.drrobertduncan.com... -
This guy is an idiot
He fails to comprehend that machines and robots can do every job humans can, better and faster, and they can adapt to new tasks and jobs. Computers also will have intelligence far beyond humans which is already here in classified form, whizzing around human thinkers millions of times automating new intelligence understanding and building of AI and systems. The only thing that will stop automation from taking human jobs is lack of innovation or push of automation. This might happen for one because all the most advanced automation has already been classified and kept off the market for decades anyway, and should the trend continue as they probably want it to, humans will continue to be forced to labor for some time.
The best automation today is reserved strictly for military/law enforcement weapons and surveillance systems unfortunately..

these guys at harvard are mentally ill
The bias is not democratic versus republican. Its mostly government and corporation versus the people. Information is censored and biased for the government and corporations on Wikipedia and features mostly propoganda. Information on government crimes and conspiracy is almost always edited out and removed. The articles are pro industry and pro military. Classified information is gone in favor of censored white washed versions. Harvard one of the largest and most secretive military industrial complex facilities in the world doesn't care about these issues because it favors them when the articles appear like this.

Re:This post is teh retarded
Most research isn't published in white papers. White papers are propaganda and strategic mass deception mostly aimed at controlling the public and non classified realm. At best its entertainment. Everything going on in this field is classified and not published in papers. Today we for sure have a much more advanced AI and robotics program than China or Russia probably combined. Our military budget is actually greater than all major countries combined. We have more technology than the rest of the world combined in terms of weapons and surveillance and software. We have fully mapped the brain and actually created Matrix like worlds to control human minds but that doesn't appear in too many papers. We have automated interpreters and translators much more advanced than is publically available.
Public news is so boring and off base
.. Pathetic. Basically every low IQ citizen wants to make money off fake news even if they are clueless to the actual underpinnings of the world because they lack access to the details, education, and experience themselves.http://www.drrobertduncan.com/...

fuck these motherfuckers
they're getting free resources from people; they go on to patent things, earn big bucks, etc. None of it's about curing, it's about making money, and creating power for themselves.
In this case they're tricking everyone into joining up for their cause without giving anything back, besides the rare chance you somehow make some money off people buying your curecoin.
fuck that. whoever owns curecoin should get equal ownership of the patents, technologies, and profit that they reap off everyone.
what's the matter, don't want to give up some of the lucrative profits to those who took part in helping get the profits?

here's why bluetooth sux
this is gunna kill audiophile quality stuff. Bluetooth uses crappy lossy compression, the signals are being transcoded over and over, more and more signals and bits are lost, and some signals like HD can't be represented at all. in this case, Bluetooth wireless signals use compression algorithms that are like mp3, so as the audio data is already stripped in the default iTunes format of AAC, it will now go through a second stripping process when the hardware sends it over the Bluetooth link.
wireless signals also cause bio-health effects, and are killing and damaging our DNA and cells. we don't need more wireless tech, we need less as a result.
lightning connectors are fine but the reason for those sucking is the iPhone and iPod's will have only one connector: the fucking flipping lightning port. you're going to need a splitter that allows both connections simultaneously for it to work and not be annoying. users will likely want to listen to their audio, while charging at the same time, or doing a data link.
many modern high-end headphones already allow for swapping cords so luckily most headphones are upgradeable to the lightning port, or the splitter can have a 3.5" headphone jack, and a port for lightning connections.
many high end headphones like those from Sennheiser, Shure, Westone and the like already have removable replaceable cords and multiple cords to choose from, including custom made ones like super high end grade silver, gold, and platinum ones. Westone W60 for example have a custom cord for iPhone, and another specific for Android devices.
the USB C and micro USB ports on Android phones however are not as suitable for this because the ports and connectors are way larger than the lightning connector on Apple products. using USB C, I hypothesize would actually feel like a downgrade.

Re:Filthy Casual!!
tinfoil actually amplifies signals emitted from your body, and beamed into your body, and is easily scanned through using the NSA's global building penetrating/mountain penetrating radar/satellites MRI/ESR/radar.
only way to shield would be super conducting magnetic shield to reflect 100% of the signals but those aren't cheap.
-
Re:Drones
drones aren't worth shit. those are parallel construction tools w/ the fiber optic upstream taps.
National Security Agency has global satellite/radar grid. They actually magnetic resonance image/electron spin resonance/radar our brains, bodies, homes, buildings to 3D holographically scan us, listen, watch, steal info, even pull out memories/video/audio from the neural decoding.
James Bamford and the NSA whistleblowers fucking retards
.. how come only I and a select few of my friends know the specs of the NSA's satellite/radar systems?you can't go off the grid from those. they're designed to image through mountains, oceans, caves, etc.
low IQ derps don't know the first military radar/satellites had MRI/ESR back between the 1930s and 1945 development of them during WW2. the patent for scanning AND altering (to communicate with spies, or do remote interrogation/torture) the entire brains electrical activity from military radar/satellites was filed in 1974. doctors offices didn't get MRI till decades later. it came from miniaturizing military radar. lol.
NSA literally records people taking dumps and farting on the toilet, having sex, masturbating, with no cameras, microphones, or implants anywhere on the premises.
after making scans/records, they can go in like spectator mode, and view the turd drop and replay in 3D from your anus in full resolution. they might even masturbate off a womens hot pussy. lol. black world baby. you guys are clueless derps.

IPhone is pretty old too
Its still shipping with a dual core processor and those came out in 2011. They haven't moved up to quad or eight cores yet.
Screens hit 720p around the same time and that's where Apple sat. 1080p came in 2013. qHD launched in 2014
..Apple has nothing close to qHD.
Apple builds crap computers and sits on old tech but continues to sell it at full price without lowering the price.
64GB of flash upgrade? They like to charge hundreds for it when it cost $15 bucks in other form factors and they never increase the amount or lower the cost.

Re: Probably Can't Do That
That's true but if the constitution were beefier, it would not allow basic rights and freedoms to be stripped even if provided due process and convicted of crimes and the like. Even contracts and parole should not remove your basic rights to be your own self.
I forget one important right of the 1st amendment is to be who you are and want to be, to develop who you are and want to be, and to generate and have free speech and expression.
That might protect parole right to be a gamer, to take part in leisure activities and personal enrichment activities and the like, against judges will- to be a part of the community equal to his peers.
Also ordering a person not to play video games is like trying to stop a person from being sexually aroused, and under the 1st amendment the courts have determined you have a right to sexual arousal such as even to take racy pictures of people passing by you on the streets, even of kids, even of upskirts of kids. The Texas Supreme Court overturned a law and vacated a conviction of a guy who took upskirts of girls for example just a few years ago.
The problem is the constitution is so weak it actually doesn't guarantee the things it guarantees unless judges uphold it in their decisions, but they can deliberately refuse to and back one another up.

DMCAis flawed
It should provide safe harbor protection without requiring content take down notices be processed. For example of abuse look at the Gavin E Long videos on YouTube; he filmed himself and uploaded blog videos as the sole owner of the videos. Then he died after doing a mass shooting. In response provocateurs submitted fake DMCA copyright claims and now all the videos are offline, but only he could access his account to submit counterclaims to have the videos put back up. YouTube follows the DMCA which requires the videos or content to be taken down even if the request is invalid, because without the due process checks of a judge or jury there is no way to know if the content is infringing or not.
No one but Gavin could defend himself but in the case a judge or jury were involved, they might never issue take down orders because the requests were obviously frivolous.

Let's Encrypt
Its like a piece of art. Let's Encrypt made their art, put it out there, and then came along the bully trying to steal the art of the project Let's Encrypt. The question here is, if someone else made the art and Comodo had nothing to do with it, how could they come in and claim ownership of some part of the art? Under the 1st amendment someone else made that art. Should we not honor the ownership and creator of that art? Should we not have a mechanism to stop Comodo from attempting to steal ownership of the art?
Now the CEO had a funny comment about how Lets Encrypt was copying Comodo's business model of 90 day free certs but, really that's not the case. When you create a product you tend to try to make one that is comparable or better to existing products in this case they matched their competitors product so as to avoid not creating a deliberately inferior product people wouldn't want.

Re:Doesn't make sense
There isn't any alternative to the headphone jack. All headphones today use that analog port. Headphones don't have built in amps or digital to analog processors. I took a browse at all the best headphone s in headphone.com and earphonesolutions.com - they all use the port, none of them use USB or lightning ports. It would seem that headphone ports are not legacy and no replacement port has been devised. Take the Shure SE-846 or Westone W6- I own both. Both come in headphone jack only variants. The cost to replace these headphones with something else would be $1000 each. Apple might be telling users they will need to switch to external DACs and Amps instead.. I have used external DACs/Amps and they are bulky and normally larger than the size of the phone itself. They aren't compact. They use their own batteries etc and are not power efficient. obamasweapon.com
There weren't ANY USB peripherals when the iMac debuted in 1998 with only USB ports. One year later, those were all sporting BOTH USB and Serial ports (My Epson 380(?) Printer had a USB, Serial AND Parallel Port). Another 2 years, and you nearly couldn't find a printer or other peripheral with a Serial or Parallel port.
Now I double-dog-dare you to find a Serial or Parallel printer being manufactured. There probably is still one, because I think Panasonic still offers some Dot-Matrix printers; but other than that...?
It's called "Time". It has a tendency to move forward, whether you like it or not. Adapt (no pun) or perish. -
