If you thought that the Street Fighter movie was bad, check out this review of the Japanese porn version, "Street Fucker."

Re:A few things...This reminds me of the blog about the American who went to teach English in Japan. He had a female coworker who learned English from South Park and swore worse than any sailor because of it. You can read about his experiences on blog
And this is why cartoons aren't the best place to teach yourself a foreign language.

Overworking
I've read, on a few different occasions, the hypothesis that the high rate of suicide in Japan is due to the heavy work ethic there. Working hard is good, but from some things I've read, they just overexert themself, at least as I see it as a working American.
As I understand it, failling is frowned upon much harsher there, culturally, than it is here in America.
Also, did anyone think of the anime "Paranoia Agent" while reading this? It just made me think of one of the episodes half way through (6 or so) where the old guy, the younger guy, and the little girl made a pact in some chat room to get together and commit suicide. -
Re:Ouch!
Ah, yes. The Dreaded Octopus.
It's a killer.
"Whoops!" is not something you want to hear under those, ahem, circumstances.

Re:Japanese lack social skills
Is you situation atypical or perhaps biased by a small sample size of those you know? I don't know, it seems to go for a stereotype for an entire people.
Anyway, here is a blog from a American teacher in Japan, it's funny (and insightful) reading of over there:

Re:The ugly truth
Interesting, most accounts of Japan show most Japanese as being America-obsessed--I think I'll trust the guy who puts his identity up.

This has been around for a while
Here's an editorial from over a year ago. The top topic is about a virus sent to a user of outpostnine from "management@outpostnine.com". The sender of the email didn't realize that the intended victim was actually the sole manager of the site.

Re:Those robots look like ass
I guess it's a result of excessive "kancho". (You can read about it here: http://www.outpostnine.com/editorials/teacher.htm

Sure they are...

"So anyway, the whole "black men have big dicks" stereotype stretches far and wide, even to the nation's 12 year olds. Part of why I'm here is not just to kind of sort of help teach English, but to "broaden cultural perceptions". Break stereotypes, challenge preconcieved notions, all that jazz. That's good and all, but this is one stereotype I think I'm just gonna let slide.
So anyway, I get asked "bigu dikku" A LOT. Every 2-3 days in fact, which is amazing considering I got asked this question about 2-3 times *in my entire life* in America. Locker room jokes aside. How do you answer that anyway? To a 12-15 year old? I wave them off and say "No no no." Then they say "Oh, sumaru dikku?" (trans. "Small dick?") and OF COURSE that's wrong so I have to correct them. It's just a no-win stiuation." -
Re:Do these statistics include the pron?
I still do not understand why anyone would want pornography on their PSP (apart from Japanese businessmen, though Japanese porn can get quite bad).
