Re:So...
We have B.E.T. (Black Entertainment Television) on cable tv, but if someone made W.E.T. you can bet it'll be called racist.
We already do. It's called Spike.
:p
While you're at it, how about 'Lifetime: Television for Women'? For that matter, in a world ostensibly full of equality, and race/gender/sexual orientation blindness, do we need special programming for {insert special interest group here}? Because we live in a world full of racism, bigotry, sexism, and inequality-in-general, that's why. If we actually lived in a world without those horrible qualities, we wouldn't have the vast majority of the problems of the world in general that we're seeing right now, either. -

Re: higher risk of death
I just want to know how sitting on my ass all day increases my chance of being eaten by a shark by 15 to 20 percent.
You don't stand a chance against a Land Shark if you're sitting down.

Re:China
You forgot:
19. A 3D printer is invented that can make a full course meal in seconds, we call it a replicator eventually we don't have to do any real work anymore so Scotty becomes obese.
20. Since we don't do any real work anymore, soon it becomes popular to randomly speak in meaningless technobabble so that people can still feel important.http://www.spike.com/video-clips/mr9tu4/cinemassacre-top-10-star-trek-technobabbles
21. But it's ok because people still end up making more sense than your rant just did.

Make sure you watch 'til the very end. I paraphrase "The cars may very well have survived, but the occupants most likely would not have."

I'll leave the rest of the Google results for you; just try searching "Smart car crash test". Didn't even need to leave the first page.

Tesla sued Fisker, too
Tesla sued Fisker in 2008, for a car design: http://green.autoblog.com/2008/04/15/breaking-tesla-sues-fisker-over-electric-car-design/
Tesla sued TopGear in 2011, for a car review: http://www.iol.co.za/motoring/industry-news/tesla-losing-top-gear-court-challenge-1.1162112 "Tesla losing Top Gear court challenge"
See the spectacular Jeremy Clarkson review the Tesla in 2008 and compare it with its car design origin (Lotus Elise) http://www.spike.com/video-clips/c3neux/top-gear-reviews-the-tesla-roadster
Tesla sues who next?

Re:Wait for Top Gear
The Top Gear show in question was the first I ever saw of the Tesla roadster. I came away from it wildly impressed. Maybe they misrepresented Tesla on a few specific spots, but overall it was a positive message. You should watch the actual show if you're going to debate whether they were biased.

Better yet bring radium back to popular use. When Curie first discovered it they made makeup out of the stuff.

Re:Luck not shot down
I found the show. It's "Surviving Disaster" Season 1, Episode 1, "Hijack".
You can watch it on Spike TV's site here.

You know, they could have extremely tame erotic websites to cater to kids who are interested. Probably like softcore Playboy pics or something.

Campaign Against Free Speech - Not a New Thing
This is really the same debate that's been going on since the Greeks, only now in a much more uninformed way. It reminds me of CNN's 1986 Crossfire show where the lyrics of a rock song was accused of promoting incest and Frank Zappa was invited as a representative musician. Zappa is not defending the Prince's "Incest is a good thing" statement in the lyrics in question, but he is defending the right of the artist to say it.
Some telling and relevant in context quotes from the exchange are:
Robert Novak: "Mr Zappa, let me see if I can get your position straight. Are you saying there is no filth, no pornography, no obscenity, that should not be permitted to be sold and distributed freely in this country in the form of music videos and rock videos?
... Is there no filth, no obscenity you consider qualified to be suppressed?"John Lofton (of the Washington Times): "I agree with you that the first line of responsibility is the family [Zappa has not mentioned neither "responsibility" of "family"] to stop the kind of garbage we're talking about here today; but good grief, can't we call upon our government to help us in this fight, Frank? Are you an Anarchist, is it the government's role to do nothing in this?
... Incest in America didn't use to be this kind of problem, it has come about in the last 20 years or so [implicating "pop music"] ... You should get out more! ... Would you look in the camera and tell them that the trash you sing and write was when the Founding Fathers had in mind when they drafted the First Amendment?! ... to defend songs that glorify Satanism, and incest, and suicide?!"Zappa: "Absolutely!"
Chorus: "You're an idiot, then!"
Tom Braden: "What would you suggest, Mr Lofton, as a means of censorship?
... What government censor is going to decide for you?"Lefton, to Zappa: "What is the government's role, Mr Zappa?"
... ("national defence") ... "Well, I consider this national defence, pal! Our families are under attack from people like you"Zappa: "The biggest threat today is not communism, it is moving America toward a fascist theocracy, and everything that's happened during the Reagan administration is steering us down that pipe."
Panel laughs, "oh really, Mr Zappa" etc etc
It is really an extremely interesting (not to say entertaining!) episode, and I recommend it if you haven't laready seen it. The full video is available here:
