Re:Spirit Cooking
The woman who invited Podesta to the spirit dinner is offering twitter follows if you just post her "666" hastag. https://twitter.com/AbramovicM... Rich people are often extremely freaky. It doesn't take a conspiracist to point that out. I'm not going to vote these kind of freakitude back into power.
And I thought this whole thing was a typo, they really meant "Spirited cooking"

Re:No constitutional crisis at all.
Except Hillary Clinton RESPONDED on TOP SECRET email conversations . Hillary Clinton also IGNORED Podesta not talk about subjects on a insecure email channel, and Hillary did anyway.
Hillary Clinton set up the whole thing to get around FOIA laws.

That was actually Wayne Gretzky who said that. But what did he ever do that would suggest he has any clue what he's talking about? It's not like he was anyone Great.
It's a great quote, but now I can't hear it without thinking about Hillary Clinton. She posted a tweet quoting Martin Luther King, and somebody replied with this.

Russia-linked... is it the NSA?
The last dump from the shadow brokers contained the servers the NSA uses to hack others, it included compromised Russian servers (Mustafa Al-Bassam tweet).

With no privilege
Not really clear that there's anything here. A news organization always checks with the subject of an article before running the article-- this is standard procedure, and it's also standard procedure to correct errors of fact that are pointed out-- it is desirable to do this BEFORE an article runs.
I think they're stretching on this. While that's certainly true, it's also misdirection. A news organization checking the subject of an article isn't the point.
It's that the government agency fielding the request gave the campaign a heads up, and took direction from the campaign about the response.
That's collusion between government and the Clinton campaign.
Are you comfortable with government agencies checking with a campaign (of their choosing) during an election?
I'm not.
And just to be clear, according to the Wikileaks document, this happened *after* she had left the state department and was running her campaign.
She was, at the time, a citizen with no government authority or privilege.

Re:Poor Nick Denton
Uh, they posted a video of an event that occurred and was factual. That's not defamation, libel, or slander; it's reporting on the life of public figures. It's long-established that being a public person cuts away a substantial amount of your privacy protection. What laws were broken?
A Florida Jury found that Gawker violated Hulk Hogan's privacy. Other juries and judges have determined that public figures's privacy can't be violated in that way in many situations. Unless Gawker produced the tape (including hiring someone to have it made, thus invading privacy), it's been long-established that this is simply public gossip about a public figure: a tape was made by Clem (husband of the chick Hogan banged), Clem gave it to Gawker, Gawker published it after Hogan's divorce.
By early 2012, rumors began circulating âoein the radio community about a sex tape starring Hogan and Heather Clem,â Peirce said in his deposition.
A month later, still images from the tape appeared on the website The Dirty â" and Bubba now recognized the canopy bed as his own and knew it was his tape.
In the fall of 2012, Gawkerâ(TM)s then editor, A.J. Daulerio, received a phone call from Tony Burton, a lawyer who claimed a client of his was interested in mailing him something. A package arrived at the Gawker offices between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, 2012. There was no return address. Daulerio was on vacation at the time, so the siteâ(TM)s then-managing editor, Emma Carmichael, opened the package and watched the recording inside â" it was the sex tape.
So the sex tape was already a matter of public gossip, some stills were out there, someone sent it to Gawker, Gawker published it. Also Hogan had denied that he would ever bang Heather several times--he liked to talk publicly about his sex life.
Hogan made his affair with Heather Clem a public matter. He talked around it, he talked about his sex life in general, he pointed out that she was hot but claimed he wouldn't get on her because she's another dude's wife, and so forth. "Turns out you fucked her brains out!" is actually reasonable information to publish, and somehow that sex tape got made and got floated around.
It's a thin case for you and me; and it's a completely-different ballgame for someone famous who's baited the public interest.
Not really.
You ignored one simple fact - Gawker was ordered to take down the video. They said they won't.
Sure the tape may be factual evidence, but when a judge orders you to take it down during your lawsuit, you take it down.
It doesn't matter who's right or wrong in the matter - the judge said to do it, so you do it to avoid the wrath of the judge.
In fact, this one act of defiance likely is what brought the damages up. Gawker got away pretty light - the judge could've found them in contempt and instead all they got was enhanced damages.

First drink is on me
Tick tock Okian Warrior! Just a reminder Trump loses bigly in one week, and I've got you bookmarked so I can come back and read your angry impotent tears on the 9th after he loses.
:) Have a good week!Knock yourself out.
Anyone who thinks of the election as a personal failure larger than, say, losing a game of darts in a pub is an idiot.
We've taken things waaaaay to far in this election, and it's time we stopped and thought about who we are and what we're doing. This is not who we are, We don't fire people for supporting a candidate, we don't beat up homeless people for holding political signs, we don't egg people or key cars that show support.
Anyone American, that is. Americans believe in free speech.
I've thought through both scenarios, and it won't bother me one bit if Clinton wins, and I won't be lording it over people if Clinton loses. Half the country is on either side, so in both cases we'll be in good company.
I'm planning on just shaking hands and saying "good game, the first drink is on me".
(And privately, a CTR on Hillary's payroll posting as AC won't damage my self-esteem. I mean really, you probably base your self worth on the opinion of others, but I don't. I'm good with who I am, and see the insults for what they are: insignificant.)

Hillbully tell
Trump is more loyal to Putin than to Obama. He's more loyal to Russia than America. If he gets power, he'll hand over control of the middle east to Putin. That's all the oil, that's resources, that's geopolitical advantage. Either by incompetence or design.
Republicans, jfdavis668, I appreciate you want to get him elected, but do you really want your guy in power so much that you'd sell out your country?
You don't hold power when Putin has power, you have fake elections and lots of Putin statues and astroturf.
That's a hillbully tell: hallucinate something outrageous, then ridicule the hallucination.
I think that's #16 on the list.
Tell us about ethics. Tell us why Hillary's brand of integrity would be better for the country.

Re:News-speak at 11.
I am not sure if your comment is aimed at minimizing the impact of police spying over journalists (business as usual?), but you should note that this snippet from the article is completely unrelated to the main case with the Montreal police.
About the main case with the Montreal police, it is currently considered a big enough thing that it is monopolizing the news in Quebec and all government levels are actively seeking answers and solutions to this unprecedented abuse of power against freedom of press.
It now appears that Montreal police has started mass spying over journalists last spring in order to find whistle-blowers inside their organization (http://www.lapresse.ca/actualites/montreal/201611/01/01-5036642-le-spvm-avait-lance-une-chasse-aux-sources-journalistiques-au-printemps.php).

No, that's another example of the strange fantasy world which the right has created. Take one number, the worst one from a single study, and repeat it endlessly as if it was written in stone and agreed by everyone.
The 'strange fantasy world' in which Obama said it, Hillary said it, who else do you need?

EA was down yesterday
EA's game servers were down several hours yesterday, affecting dozens of games (I play Simpsons Tapped Out lol). I wonder if this was a DDOS response attack against EA, or if they totally screwed up their access block and ended up blocking everyone?

Guess they hated #DraftOurDaughters on trending...
Really? Because this administration is waging a proxy war with Russia in Syria, and Hillary wants to create a no fly zone (which would put us at war with them), and she's the one telling everyone that the nukes launch 4 minutes after Hillary gives the order. The whole reason the satirical #DraftOurDaughters campaign (currently NSFW) was going on Twitter has merely served to highlight the fact that she's been very willing to go to war. I mean, it wasn't that long ago when Hillary was talking about how we would go to war with Iran.
Feel free to argue, though: those are mostly videos of Hillary talking. Of course, if you want to say that you don't believe the things she says, I'll be forced to agree with you.

Hillbullies
Even the other Democratic candidate considers it a non-issue, and has said so since the very beginning of the primaries campaign:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
This is nothing more than a stupid-ass canard that Trump and his alt-right goonsquad are clinging to in order to distract from the real issues and the fact that they have no answers and their entire campaign is built around racism, misogyny, and xenophobic isolationism.
Real issue, such as Clinton supporters being bullies?
There's not a one among you who can rub two words together without insulting someone.
Delete the insults from any pro-Clinton position and you have nothing left!

Re:Corrections and more
1. They did not say that they are reopening the investigation. The memo itself makes that clear.
2. The emails are related to the server, but not from Clinton
Pete Williams is reporting that the emails have A) nothing to do with Wikileaks, and B) were not withheld by Clinton.
Beyond that, we know very, very little right now. Actually it's rather bizarre that Comey would throw a bombshell like this 11 days before the election. But let's see where it goes.
They keep saying Comey is a straight shooter, but I'm not seeing it. He went out of his way to tar and feather her every bit he could, even when he admitted they had nothing. His previous actions were well beyond what could be expected of any other investigation into any other person.
Seriously, examine every member of congresses unclassified email with this kind of microscope. I'd bet you'd find a crap load more than this. This bitching about a few things marked (c) and such is ridiculous. Confidential is the lowest form, and basically amounts to may cause damage. By far and wide she handled classified material correctly. That was the ultimate result of the investigation. That a couple of mistakes were made in years of work is not news. I don't know anyone that doesn't occasionally make a mistake at work. This crap where they keep bitching about the personal server is also freaking ridiculous. Her personal server was at the same classification level as the main department server. A data spill on one is the same problem as the data spill on the other. The only difference for the personal server is, so far at least, no one has apparently hacked it, which you can't say for the department server. It was hacked.
Now we have a super vague thing which says absolutely nothing. Comey deliberately released it in such a way he knew it would be leaked, and yet it has no information. What precisely was his point? There is not enough time to possibly conduct any investigation. The only possible reason I can think of to release it is to influence the election with vague rumors and that is _not_ his job. If he had something solid, then fine, but none of these vague rumors.
He should either release everything he knows right now or resign, or preferably both. This is completely insane. You can't even defend yourself against this. It is just a vague statement of possibly maybe something sometime may come out. Where is the right to confront your accuser? Where is the right to be innocent until proven guilty? This is just the beginning of another witch hunt, and I am for one tired of it.
What the hell is our country coming to? Trump whines and bitches like a little 3 year old of it being so damn unfair. He is right. It has been unfair, but not for him. Every advantage has been handed to him. Billions in free press coverage. For the longest time no one hardly called them out on his continuous lies, and even now it is minimal. You can't keep up with his lies. You have Putin spending crap loads of resources hacking every possible resource he could to destroy her. You have republicans using their investigative powers doing the exact same thing. You have Comey releasing massive details of their investigation, as if to state, even though they could prove nothing, they were bound and determined to hurt her as much as possible, completely against all department standards. Now, eleven days before an election we have Comey throwing them another random bone with no real information in it? It smells like partisan crap to me. It is certainly highly inappropriate.

You sure? Are you sure you're not also biased, then? Should we just give up and embrace whatever personality/cargo/political cult gets us off?

The answer is: I don't know
The building was vandalized with the phrase "Nazi Republicans Leave Town or Else". Who else do you think would have done it?
The correct answer is: "I don't know, and you don't know either."
It's hard to believe it was the Democrats, since all the polls and all the indications show that they're winning. Why in the world would they want to change a winning game?
Throwing bombs isn't something you do if you're winning; it's what you do if you're losing.
But, with that said, I doubt it's the Trump campaign. I expect it was lunatic fanatic crazies.
Whether the lunatic fanatic crazies thought they were on Trump's side, or on Clinton's side, is yet to be seen.
-
Re:Clinton, Podesta, Putin and Trump
The building was vandalized with the phrase "Nazi Republicans Leave Town or Else". Who else do you think would have done it?
Trump operatives, of course.
He's running out of excuses, so creating fake attacks might be the next step.
He still needs to convince some of his supporters to stand around polling places with their personal armories. And no, the Liberal Media Clinton have NOT ignored the incident. The Democrats have created a dangerous divide between patriotic Americans and the loons that support Hillary, and it's what naturally leads to things like this.
Sorry, it's Trump who's doing all the anti-american stuff like trying to discriminate based on religion, strengthen libel laws to discourage the media, use intimidation to keep voters away from the polls, etc.
Remember it's "liberty and justice for all," not "I want to punch that protestor in the face." -
Re:Gee
Listen to yourself. You expect people to refrain from criticising behaviour they dislike (as you just did). In other words you want them to self censor. Of course this doesn't apply to you; you are free to attack me and anyone else who has contrary opinions.
Hypocrisy in a single sentence.
No, I'm expecting people not to turn around and attack a person to try and force them to lose their job or change their opinion because a whiny mob decides to lose their shit. If you think that this is an attack, then you're far more mentally unstable then you believe.
You want to know what a real attack looks like? Try this.

Note that the liberal media and Hillary are entirely ignoring the attack, probably because they know they bear some of the blame.

Re:Liar
That's not a sex tape. That's her being part of a Big-Brother style show where she just happened to hook up with someone else. It's not like the actual act was filmed in explicit detail to be called a 'sex tape'. It also has no reflection on her character, and defending someone who tries to use it to do so is just as reprehensible as the one making the claim.
I WATCHED the debate. His Tweet literally said ("check out sex tape"), then Trump literally said on national TV, "no it wasn't 'check out a sex tape'". There's nothing for me or you to spin here. These are all his own words, taken completely in context.

Anita Sarkeesian: Destroyer of Shareholder Value
It seems that Twitter's stock price has nosedived precipitously since appointing radical Social Justice Warrior Anita Sarkeesian to their newly formed “Trust and Safety Council.” Since then, Twitter has:
* Banned Robert Stacey McCain
* Banned Milo Yiannopoulos, AKA @Nero, permanently
* Suspended Instapundit
* Shadowbanned Anna Maria Perez
* Forced James O'Keefe to renove a Tweet and perform a spite resetAnd after having damaged their brand and destroyed billions worth of shareholder value, lo and behold, no one wants to buy them! Gee, turns out that alienating half your user base at the behest of a tiny cadre of radical feminists is a lousy business strategy...

Please don't lead us into war!
Word on the street is that it's a war started specifically to win the election, to whip up some patriotism for the ruling party.
Specifically, it's noted that if we actually wanted to do this, then we would not advertise it ahead of time (scroll down a few entries).
We did a similar thing in Syria the last couple of days by announcing an attack, then filming the attack.
Obama you're a lame-duck president, you've done almost nothing in 8 years, and please don't get us into WWIII before you leave!. Please PLEASE put the welfare of the people ahead of your political agenda this one time!
On a different point, note that if whistleblowers were protected and shielded in this country the hackers could come forward and identify themselves as non-Russian agents and defuse a potential war.
But that won't happen because they'd get royally screwed and their lives and freedom would be over. (Not that I blame them.)
For example, here's a couple of wikileaks sources facing serious charges.
Note that the hacker gave leaks to Motherboard under the agreement of anonymity. Here's what happened:
“When Cracka leaked to Motherboard he asked not to be named as he wanted to confidentially leak information, Lorenzo disregarded it and listed that it was from him — he even wrote that Cracka asked not to be listed like a total piece of shit,” Liverman noted.
Journalistic integrity at its finest.
People thought a couple of months ago that Trump would be the one to get us into WWIII.
I wonder what they think now?
