Fundamental, primary level textbook content hasn't changed significantly in 50 years,

Go back to school. It is all Social Justice now. Fraudulent Grievance Studies replaced civics. They don't teach the Constitution anymore. They teach kids to sneer at old white men who believe in freedom of speech, freedom of association, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, and who want to see some evidence that a crime was committed and let the accused have a chance to defend themselves before the state throws that person in jail for the rest of their life. Transgender law enforcement and homosexual recruitment replaced sex education. And they teach that science and logic are alt-right and must be destroyed, and they give students lists of reasonable arguments against Marxist policies and say that these are alt-right slogans. People have been warning for 100 years that the Marxists were infiltrating and undermining the education system, and it happened. And it is not only the Marxists, but foreign powers as well.

They can do it because you have nowhere else to bugger off to.

Do you remember the "Safe Space" campaign a few years ago or the appearance of "Social Justice" "feminists" who never badmouthed Islam but tried to tell you that Hamas was a feminist group? As a regular visitor to the sub in question, I can assure you they were FAR more than just about trolling. They believe that in racial realism and how migration of third world people into ALL first world countries will reduce the prosperity of the people living in them.

Keep in mind the goal is to claim that all these DNC bigwigs are in some giant pedophile ring.

And the evidence of this is a DNC fundraiser, who owns Comet Ping Pong, was mentioned in an email by a campaign chair (gasp! a campaign chair mentioning a fundraiser!), which apparently means he's at the centre of a pedophile ring.

There's apparently a second restaurant next door, called Besta Pizza, who had as a logo a stylized picture of a pizza slice that apparently had "pedo symbols" in the logo. Because secret pedophile rings advertising it in their friggin logo is apparently more likely than someone unintentionally making something that reminds you of a super-obscure image.

Now here is where your "actual investigation" comes in with the top rated "smoking gun" article going after not people from the DNC, not the Comet Ping Pong that was super-tangentially connected to the DNC, but a restaurant that happened to be next door to Comet Ping Pong and happened to have a logo that reminded someone of some super-obscure "pedo symbols".

So the "investigation" is a massive "X was accused of Y, and X has some sort of relationship with Z, so Z is guilty of Y." And via this investigation technique they manage to implicate... "Besta World Group" which they can't actually connect to "Besta Pizza"... but two brands in completely different industries on different sides of the planet using the word "Besta" in their name? Oh they must be connected!!!

I'm sorry that is not an investigation, that's someone desperately digging for dirt and failing in spectacular fashion.

I'm also guessing they won't explain why the anti-pedo sub /r/pizzagate got moved to /v/pizzagate, but why they're happy to keep subs like /r/pedochat /r/pedofriends, etc. Just look at this image just shows a picture of Reddit's description of /r/Pedochat which is a private NSFW sub for "pedos and friends of pedos" for an example.

I don't know, but considering the subject, I would guess pizzagate harassed people and pedochat did not. Which is by the way the explanation given by Reddit for closing down pizzagate. People send death threats to the pizzeria in question and pizzagate was involved or at least condoning it.

In short: Both are Subreddits by people I would not like to associate with, but only one did something ban worthy under the topic discussed here.

Now, with as many connections as have been found, I'm sure there are more than a few bogus ones. The problem is that there's a ton of them. Now, it's very possible that it's all smoke and no fire, the problem is that you can't fairly decide that without the painful task of going through every little thing, so declaring "no, that's wrong" without actually touching most of the evidence is far less convincing to anyone who has looked into it than one might hope.

It doesn't help that Reddit, Twitter & Wikipedia all seem to want to make it simply disappear, an ironic stance as they were once the place for suppressed ideas to go. A trend that makes me wonder if we'll see a "censorship treadmill" like the euphamism treadmill, wherein new sites are constantly born to take over those that succumb to censorship at the hands of their owners.

Well, I still haven't seen any smoking guns just yet, only a lot of strange things that point in a bad direction or to bad taste in art & friends. I don't know too many Democrats these days eager to retain friendships with Republicans, let alone those who are also convicted child molesters, but it's not exactly illegal either. There's nothing illegal about saying that "traffic is really warm and really weird in light of Hastert" but people who have seen enough strange uses of language regarding what they suspect are codewords could read that in a weird way.

But by banning pizzagate, they've only made it better known. They didn't even manage to shut it down, it /r/pizzagate lives on Voat now as /v/pizzagate. Twitter users outraged that they did nothing about pedo pics someone allegedly pointed out on twitter gab.ai. Wikipedia censors all but a pitiful mention of it, so it's documented on Infogalactic.

There are still the usual problems with idiots who fake something to troll the community, though, but they're working on moderating that out. For example, I know at least one of the claims of steganography in the images appeared to be fake. There certainly wasn't any ZIP file marker in the image I found on Wikileaks, though it wasn't clear if you were supposed to use some steganography program first.

Utter Nonsense. That post was thoroughly debunked. That fellow did a clean install of windows 10 enterprise and then monitored it. He didn't disable telemetry. He didn't disable windows updates. He didn't disable onedrive. He didn't disable live tiles. He didn't disable a single solitary thing.

I sure would like to know why that post was pulled with no explanation - did the guy fuck up and not want to come clean, was he or somebody else pressured into deleting it, or was there some other reason? Anyway, I agree that DOD will probably get a version with all that nonsense disabled - but simply assuming that only the Home and Pro versions are insistent on phoning home might not be such a good idea.

As someone who visited the place on a few occasions, I can say a lot of the users are pretty extreme and obnoxious/spammy with their hate, but there were a lot (including non-whites, and even some blacks) who wanted to get to the truth and argue facts and logic. FWIW, their main list of 'facts' can be seen here.

Personally, I don't think silencing them will help, as it won't stop people from being racist, and certainly won't help debate (they've just moved anyway - their new place is at Voat which is like a non-censored version of Reddit).

As for own view, well, I guess evolution shows that humans didn't evolve perfectly, and so despite the fashionable cultural relativistic worldview a lot have today, it isn't inconceivable that there are qualities such as IQ, beauty, strength or aggression which are more pronounced in one subset of humans compared to another. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm a little worried that over the next few centuries there won't be any whites as we'll all have mixed into a single homogeneous people (well in previously white countries anyway, since white people aren't exactly flooding Africa, India or Asia...)

The ability to be abusive and rageful if you want to be aren't the only things Voat has going for it, the improved site design and the small size of the community can both work in its favor in some respects. I started the sub there because it seemed like an opportunity for something new at a site which was comparatively empty. Then, because it takes almost no additional effort, I started a mirror subreddit on the same day: /r/completegames. The differences between them have been a little bit interesting, but I don't have enough subscribers on either to draw any conclusions. Ah well.

Treating Voat like a free speech panacea seems like a big mistake though, since it has all of the same problems that Reddit has - a centralized organizational structure subject to lawsuits, need for income, and greed. If and when Voat goes down the same path it isn't going to be so easy to just flip sites again and bring the community along.

If you're interested in a Reddit-like site that won't arbitrarily close your subreddit and shadowban you because they don't like what you're talking about, voat.co is shaping up pretty nicely.
