Obligatory:Intel CPU Backdoor Report
The goal of this report is to make the existence of Intel CPU backdoors a common knowledge and provide information on backdoor removal.
What we know about Intel CPU backdoors so far:
TL;DR version
Your Intel CPU and Chipset is running a backdoor as we speak.
The backdoor hardware is inside the CPU/Bridge and the backdoor firmware (Intel Management Engine) is in the chipset flash memory.
30C3 Intel ME live hack:
@21m43s, keystrokes leaked from Intel ME above the OS, wireshark failed to detect packets.
[Video Link] 30C3: Persistent, Stealthy, Remote-controlled Dedicated Hardware Malware
[Quotes] Vortrag:
"DAGGER exploits Intel's Manageability Engine (ME), that executes firmware code such as Intel's Active Management Technology (iAMT), as well as its OOB network channel.""the ME provides a perfect environment for undetectable sensitive data leakage on behalf of the attacker. Our presentation consists of three parts. The first part addresses how to find valuable data in the main memory of the host. The second part exploits the ME's OOB network channel to exfiltrate captured data to an external platform and to inject new attack code to target other interesting data structures available in the host runtime memory. The last part deals with the implementation of a covert network channel based on JitterBug."
"We have recently improved DAGGER's capabilites to include support for 64-bit operating systems and a stealthy update mechanism to download new attack code."
"To be more precise, we show how to conduct a DMA attack using Intel's Manageability Engine (ME)."
"We can permanently monitor the keyboard buffer on both operating system targets."
Backdoor removal:
The backdoor firmware can be removed by following this guide using the me_cleaner script.
Removal requires a Raspberry Pi (with GPIO pins) and a SOIC clip.Decoding Intel backdoors:
The situation is out of control and the Libreboot/Coreboot community is looking for BIOS/Firmware experts to help with the Intel ME decoding effort. If you are skilled in these areas, download Intel ME firmwares from this collection and have a go at them, beware Intel is using a lot of counter measures to prevent their backdoors from being decoded (explained below).

Re:Develop a MOBILE GPU, yes?
The point about the Northbridge/Southbridge was to point out to the poster that making the GPU an add-on module introduces multiple layers between the CPU and GPU that it does not currently have. This means that efficiency is being traded for modularity.
There's also Haswell or later at lowest wattage : on a single package, a CPU (with GPU and shit integrated) and a chipset are connected, closely and low powery. The "MacBook" (thing with only one USB port) and Surface Pro can use that. But it's a bit similar to a phone using a "do everything" SoC and a radio/modem chip on the side.
From what I gather that's not what the poster wants. He/she wants the ability to add-on GPUs which is not on the same SoC. This idea comes from teh modular phone concept where you can upgrade the camera, GPU, CPU, etc. like Google's Project Ara which is a cool concept but has never been turned into a product.
Can optic communication between two chips reduce the power? That would be one way to make it more possible, although likely again some expensive thing for $1000 and up tablets or other small mobile computers.
Power isn't the only consideration. Like I said before adding multiple layers between GPU and CPU means it is less efficient when it comes to speed. It also introduces multiple points of failure. Using fiber optics does not reduce the complexity but shifts it by requiring an optical/electronic converter at two different points.

It's child's play to keep those records.
So on the resume, do blacks write down, "Black"? Do you as an employer have to write down, "interviewed black man for job"? Do all prospective employees have to tell you their race?
Now the person goes through the interview process. Do you have to record the whole process? All tests, interviews, and discussions? Because hiring somebody involves more than just putting somebody's resume into a lottery.
Our laws were designed to combat institutionalized racism.
And sometimes they perpetuate it by assuming racism is everywhere and injecting it as a factor everywhere. The free market will do a better job of handling it on its own than having the heavy hand of government getting into everybody's business.
Oh, you wanna harp on about dog whistles and shit? How about the real world, where affirmative action has ended up hurting the students it was supposed to help. Or maybe you could listen to Thomas Sowell, who makes the case that blacks have been harmed by liberal policies designed to help them.

Re:Soooo missleading Title...
As for jingoism, it's from a 19th century song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Yes, some in Great Britain wanted to invade Russia.
Jingo as a word is a minced oath, which means "by Jingo" was a substitute for "by Jesus.
Here are the words:
"We don't want to fight but by Jingo if we do
We've got the ships, we've got the men, we've got the money too
We've fought the Bear before, and while we're Britons true
The Russians shall not have Constantinople.
Oddly enough, the song starts out with a lie - they really wanted a war with Russia. Wonder how that would have turned out......

You pseudo intellectual types wouldn't know reality if it fell from the sky, melted a giant continental ice sheet, and caused a giant flood with head waters thousands of feet deep. An event which is recorded in all world religions, and the geologic record of the planet.
You live your life in near complete ignorance -- literally ignoring the obvious and simple truth that any rational person can see. Government funded academia is full of snake oil salesmen. Re:The "engaging ad" lie
This can actually have way more impact than a prerecorded ad if (and only if) a few criteria are met.
First and foremost, the viewer not only has to trust the person doing the promotion, but he also has to believe the person. The ad subject has to match the person doing it. Imagine I'm doing a show about how to keep your computer and home network safe and free of spyware and other nuisance, you'd probably not really consider me too believable if I run ads for, say, dishwasher detergent. Of course I might use some, but who died and made me an expert on washing dishes? You'd probably be more inclined to believe me if I endorsed some security product. But even that depends on how much you trust me and how much you trust me to value you, as a viewer, more than ad money. And before you say "duh, why'd you want me more than money?", consider that all the average YouTuber has is his reputation and on that pretty much hinges all his subscribers, who, in turn, are the ones that mean ad revenue and (and that part is becoming more and more important as we speak) who may support him financially, either via services like Patreon or by buying merchandise.
The YouTube ad model is failing, by the way. But that's a different story.
So you first of all have to believe the presenter not only to be honest with you but the product also has to match the show so you believe that he knows what he's talking about. And to make matters even worse, the product has to be something that you COULD be interested in. If you're watching a show about computer security, you might actually be interested in knowing what antivirus software you should buy. If you're watching a show about music production, chances are that you are producing music and an ad about how to sell your music profitably may be interesting to you. So the ad has to be on topic. It has to match the show.
And finally, and that's the most important part: The ad absolutely MUST be entertaining. Or else people will still skip it, at least after seeing it once. That also means that you can't just rattle down the same text in every video you're doing. Take a good ad. An entertaining one. Let's say the Nissan ad with the pigeons. That's a funny one.
Once.
Maybe twice.
Now please go and watch that ad 5 times. Still funny? Still entertaining? Or does it get annoying? Keep watching it. How many times can you watch it before you're just fed up enough that you do not want to see it ever again?
So what the channel host has to do, and this is his incredibly big advantage over normal ads, is to give it a little twist every time he spins it. Keep it entertaining! Add a line or two about it, connect it with current events, you can do a lot here but you MUST NOT be boring. People hate boring stuff when they're watching something to get entertained. And they will mercilessly skip anything that they consider boring or "seen before".

Don't door knock, just fire a tow missile, done and finished and if you are a member of the public dead and guilty and don't even bother with the cost of a court. Perhaps demarcation borders, on the rich so no armed drones aka missiles on the poor side, kill, kill, kill, make sure the rest know to obey. Re:force them
Which bit is hard?
I think school is hard. In elementary school I was always ahead. When I got transplanted I was told by most people around me that there was something wrong with me. Maybe people are teaching these girls that if they're good at math, there's something wrong with them, and them they're not learning math. I was weird so I had special problems, but in our anti-intellectual society it's normal for kids to be dissuaded from trying to be intelligent.
Treading on thin ice there. Because that's one step away from saying that girls are easier to intimdate away from math. Engineering and science is not a field for the easily intimidated. Long hours, big responsibilities, so-so pay, some times some pretty dangerous work.
And the interesting thing is that it isn't universal, some of the ladies I worked with enjoyed all of the above as much as I do, but most women didn't.
Now what does this mean? Do we have to change the nature of science so that people who aren't interested in it now, are interested?
Because here's the problem. When I'm working a problem, I am seriously into to it, Some times the wife would have to bring in new clothes so I could take a shower and have clean clothes for the, next day. Or call me at 9:00 p.m. to ask if I was coming home for dinner. Deadline or just obsession with the project at hand, the engineers and scientists who tend toward the top share that trait. The competent women I worked with did.
I've traditionally caught shit from other slashdotters about that, but what they don't understand is that I am happiest when tackling a tough problem. If that requires a lot of work, then so be it.
Is that weird enough for everyone?
On to the math issue - I was graced with the worst possible algebra teacher She made the Ben Stein teacher in Ferris Beuller's Day Off seem exciting https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
I damn near failed. Then of all things, My Electronics teacher trained us on slide rules. Crazy ass thing was cathartic, and my mind just clicked. Something about the mechanics-mathematical aspect of the thing just allowed me to understand.
And the batteries seem to last forever! I'll just show myself out here......

Sadly, this is NOT an April Fool's joke.
Because somebody thinks that HTML belongs wrapped in Javascript.
And, sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened.

Re:Like others I was sceptical
Oh BS. The benchmarks I have seen show the performance of the Ryzen chips to be close enough to their Intel counterparts. Close enough that the difference won't matter.
Unless you are so picky that a half a dozen frames actually matter out of a 130 fps.
Then explain this? 40 fps difference between Windows 7 and Windows 10 is NOT SMALL.
Need more proof?. In Battlefield 1 the same Ryzen 1700 CPU has a 25 FPS drop when going on Windows 10. Put down the AMD fan hat and ballpart game style BIG finger for a minute and look at the evidence? I want AMD to win but right now it has some design problems as the CPU was made during the Windows 7 era so I can't blame this entirely on AMD.

Re:Dishonest benchmark is dishonest
Here is my proof?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
So my guess is AMD is denying it as MS won't change it as AMD owns
.2% of the market right now and a major scheduling change will drastic alter power savings on their phones and laptop devices which use the same kernel. -
Re:It's easy for it to look that way.
Well, the post he was responding to also added nothing, so I don't think I'd get something from nothing.
Of course, your response to his response added absolutely nothing to the conversation - as I'm sure everyone has noticed. In fact, this response to your response that added nothing to his response that added nothing to the previous post that added nothing also adds nothing. What did you expect? You started with nothing, you're getting nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!
