I live in the Netherlands and I have "worked" for my parents since I was 14. My parents have a gamble/token palace on a fair/kermis (Carnival I guess) - you realize how many chicks I scored with growing up? I take that "job" over packaging store shelf's or a deep frier's any day!
"Dad, gonna be gone for a few minutes! Gonna fuck a girl behind the big wheel!" "Oke Son, be sure to bag it though, don't know what these hicks have on them."
You know, if I wasn't a geek and hadn't had parents who teach you ideals etc:)
Quoted for truth! I even hear Google has developed some new iAd something for the iPhone... this has got to piss of Steve seeing as he's all about the user experience.
I suppose. For me -- and I'm really invested in Apple hardware, both for myself and my family (5 mac users) -- there's nothing here of interest.
The iPad still lacks cameras and IR emission, needs a flat, un-wobbly back, still has enough wasted sq inches of bezel area to fit an iPod Touch into, still is bound to AT&T, still is too low-res to properly display even 720p, still lacks CF, SD and USB connections, still syncs by cable, still charges by cable, and still has a paltry 512 mb of memory, which, when they eventually get around to implementing multitasking, means that what you're actually going to get is something on the order of windows 3.1 multitasking with a few services, not actual task switching, etc. And it still costs *way* too much.
Well luckily you thought before spending your hard earned money right!
Then train their kids to live productive giving lives instead of wasting their youth on idleness and pointlessly looking for lines to color outside of just to prove they are different.
I hear the Chinese have good programs for children who waste away time with things such as playing.
So if they had bought it we would have no Google, seeing as their completely disinterested in search. It's swell that Paul realised its potential though, and if only it wasn't for those rotten managers he would have gotten away with it!
The liberal one would be:
Continues search for their "true" self, until their 80 and then they realise their just as much a smuck as the next guy. Open to anything or anyone as long as its not "different", doesn't matter how or why as long as its "different". They will pack up their shit and leave any and all behind cause "You just don't get it!".
I have yet to find a single iPhone user who needs / wants flash, why are these people actually trying to make it work?
Flash is a battery drain, awkward UI, etc etc. Why would anyone want to run it on an iPhone?
Do you?
I think the OP is kind of jaded with fines of a couple of million for multi billion dollar corporations. A fine will only put a very small amount of money from the companies into the governments pocket while the people who get really screwed don't see a dime from this.
I hear you. Those damn Linux boot loaders can be hard to get rid of.
Indeed. I've been using SYSLINUX and COM32 for some time now and I love them to pieces. They make NTLDR, and, to a lesser extent, the Windows Boot Manager, look like kids' toys.
The what now? Someone needs to tell Linux that the age of the 1-click iPad has begun. There is a reason for its success. Usability is one of them. Linux is good for being l33t though.
Not only you. The whole human species would be extinct by then. We have global warming, pollution, fuel shortage, wars, corruption. These are enough to finish us by 2100. What happens in 2182 is irrelevant.
Also didn't we have all those things about 100 years ago?
He's famous for his grand claims. Edge Magazine, a UK mature gaming magazine, use to do couple of pages with the man in them every so often. And I remember how he fabled up Fable 1 into grand momentous game that would revolutionize Action RPG's yet failed to impress anyone. Likewise with the game Black & White that supposed to push new heights for the god genre.
I don't get how people are even discussing this? You want moderation on WoW forums you hire some forum moderators. At the moment they have 3 who "occasionally" post in a puppy thread and ban someone whose dis crumbled with Blizzard service. Other then that there is no moderation.
I have often thought of something similar (more SNES based though) but never got around to doing it but have you considered using a keyboard circuit? There are various how to's around the web that explain how to hook them up to a retro fitted joystick / pad.
Correct way of stating is: They are too locked down when it comes to user configuration yet to open to be called a secure device.

MS's IM client does this, or so I'm told
If you are talking about Live Messenger then you were told wrong. You can still use old version even if its not up to date.

I can't seem to remember ANY employee of a tech company that had anything good to say about the company they work for...
Haven't we seen a case of use maggots to treat dead tissue on every single doctor show ever broadcast?
Does it start with an M and ends with a Y?

And a iPhone? Would you like a golden retriever with that meal sir?
And either way once every monitor we own supports 3D, and they will eventually, whats people to stop from making a true virtual boy?

That's $45,000 to live on for a year until the record gets released.
Poor bastards! Seriously though, 2 videos and you spend a million dollars? Random numbers are random yes.
Apparently they were onto a winner by combining a phone and a gaming device. So points for trying.
