    I live in the Netherlands and I have "worked" for my parents since I was 14. My parents have a gamble/token palace on a fair/kermis (Carnival I guess) - you realize how many chicks I scored with growing up? I take that "job" over packaging store shelf's or a deep frier's any day! "Dad, gonna be gone for a few minutes! Gonna fuck a girl behind the big wheel!" "Oke Son, be sure to bag it though, don't know what these hicks have on them." You know, if I wasn't a geek and hadn't had parents who teach you ideals etc :)

    If you're looking for open source alternatives to iTunes: CDex, VLC and handbrake .

    Have you actually tried using that? I have and its more sluggish then iTunes could ever be.

    I suppose. For me -- and I'm really invested in Apple hardware, both for myself and my family (5 mac users) -- there's nothing here of interest.

    The iPad still lacks cameras and IR emission, needs a flat, un-wobbly back, still has enough wasted sq inches of bezel area to fit an iPod Touch into, still is bound to AT&T, still is too low-res to properly display even 720p, still lacks CF, SD and USB connections, still syncs by cable, still charges by cable, and still has a paltry 512 mb of memory, which, when they eventually get around to implementing multitasking, means that what you're actually going to get is something on the order of windows 3.1 multitasking with a few services, not actual task switching, etc. And it still costs *way* too much.

    Well luckily you thought before spending your hard earned money right!

Open to anything or anyone as long as its not "different", doesn't matter how or why as long as its "different".     I have yet to find a single iPhone user who needs / wants flash, why are these people actually trying to make it work? Flash is a battery drain, awkward UI, etc etc. Why would anyone want to run it on an iPhone?

    If you are talking about Live Messenger then you were told wrong. You can still use old version even if its not up to date.

    Do you? I think the OP is kind of jaded with fines of a couple of million for multi billion dollar corporations. A fine will only put a very small amount of money from the companies into the governments pocket while the people who get really screwed don't see a dime from this.

    I hear you. Those damn Linux boot loaders can be hard to get rid of.

    Indeed. I've been using SYSLINUX and COM32 for some time now and I love them to pieces. They make NTLDR, and, to a lesser extent, the Windows Boot Manager, look like kids' toys.

    The what now? Someone needs to tell Linux that the age of the 1-click iPad has begun. There is a reason for its success. Usability is one of them. Linux is good for being l33t though.

    He's famous for his grand claims. Edge Magazine, a UK mature gaming magazine, use to do couple of pages with the man in them every so often. And I remember how he fabled up Fable 1 into grand momentous game that would revolutionize Action RPG's yet failed to impress anyone. Likewise with the game Black & White that supposed to push new heights for the god genre.

    I don't get how people are even discussing this? You want moderation on WoW forums you hire some forum moderators. At the moment they have 3 who "occasionally" post in a puppy thread and ban someone whose dis crumbled with Blizzard service. Other then that there is no moderation.

    I have often thought of something similar (more SNES based though) but never got around to doing it but have you considered using a keyboard circuit? There are various how to's around the web that explain how to hook them up to a retro fitted joystick / pad.
