I agree, its much easier to micro-manage using spreadsheets, especially with Excel. I know many may disagree with my next statement, but in my experience of using many different spreadsheet software, Excel beats them by far. I use it for fast, micro-managed data mining. I use SQL for storing tons of data, and SQL queries can return mostly what i'm looking for. But creating a marriage between the two makes an excellent scientific and data mining combination when i want to get something done fast.
Thats a great idea, we can grow trees, cut them down, and store them underground so they somehow don't decay, some kind of fosolization-olism-ma-thing-a-jig... something that doesn't naturally occur. I know, we could call it coal!
It takes time and connections to advance in IT. I'm 27 and have been in the field for 9 years. I started as a lowly computer repair tech (thats the only job i could get), and now i do systems engineering (got the job just last year). Over the years, I added to my resume, made more connections, and slowly moved up the ladder, even with your degree and work experience.
About 10 minutes after the programmers gave the EA execs falacio and returned the favor with a multi-million dollar marketing campaign. Quid-Pro-Quo.
I played the demo. I have a gForce 9600 GT/w 512MB GDR3, and I could get a steady 60 fps with all settings bumped to the max. I thought the graphics were pretty good, and the engine has some cool effects, but the fun factor just wasn't there.
Bioshock, however, is insanely fun. I think it might be due to my preference of tight, claustrophobic environments rather than an open field. Well, then again, Bioshock also had a much better story line, much more creative world, and the best voice acting since System Shock 2.
Encryption takes too much time and energy. It would be much easier for Nevada to just distribute an email template that has a picture of Kathy Lee Gifford at the top of the message. That would deter anyone one trying to read anyone's super-important-business-critical emails. Keep It Simple Stupid!
In 1997, the Gartner Group estimated that there were 240 billion lines of Cobol code in active apps, and billions of lines of new Cobol code are being written every year.
Ooooh, Cobol must be popular if there are billions of lines of new code written every year!!! But seriously, the amount of lines of code doesn't mean Cobol is making a comeback. It could be a few companies that write/publish the majority of the billions of lines of code. What I would like see is the amount of code written for every programming language and juxtapose them against Cobol, then we'd get the bigger picture.
Also, I'm sure somebody could fit 240 billion lines of cobol into one line of perl... one reaaallly long line of perl ^_^
Look, there are many, many ways to take your mind off negativity. Video games and/or drugs is just one option. If you want to know what else is out there, just go to a local magazine rack; they cater to a myriad of hobbies.
Before believing what you read, try one of the other options available the next time you get divorced.
Agreed, the Hitchikers Galaxy is what it is because of Douglas Adams, and it just won't be the same without him. Just leave the classic alone.
We all know what happens when someone else tries to extend a classic... Star Wars anyone? George Lucas's evil robot twin was allowed to screw with the franchise, and we all know how that turned out.
30% seems pretty high. The last time I checked, %15-20% were the highest dutch figures. of course hashing it makes it much more dense, thus increasing the percentage.
But I do like this thread, as i'm sure a "Windows Guru" knows less about Windows than the average stoner.
We won't have to worry about that, seeing how a nuclear reactor on the moon will open the flood gates to hell. Only 1 marine stands between the obliteration of Earth. Will he succeed!?!
Sorry, Engrish is when grammatical or spelling errors are made from translating from a foreign language to English. What we would call today's mishap title is just a plain grammatical error from an English speaking chap.

See, thats the problem, we need to ask a better question first before we can get a usable answer.

Its the other way around in Japan, the men grope the woman, which will be inevitable if the space elevator becomes too crowded. "Chikan!"
