Heres an idea If email is so important to you, why dont you drop the $2.00 per month and get a real email service and stop bitching about free services.
I had my kiosks setup to send out a text message to my cellphone.
28 computers sending 1 message an hour (24 hours)
+ 1 message each time a computer is used + 1 message after each reboot (reboots every 3 users) + 1 if a bill validator is jammed. +1 at 4am giving a status report of the machine rebooting (set to reboot at least once a day)
This equals about 800 messages a day. I tried this for a week (about 5600 text messages) and had to just have them sent to an email address, I couldnt handle going through the mail box steps 60+ times a hour.
I spent months playing this game, trying to find every secret, trying to find all the different diologs. I remember I spent 2 weeks trying to find the 2nd ending, I never found it or found out if it was just a myth. Something dealing with the purple tentical that ties to stop you, somehow you could befriend him, and something happenes.....
From what I understand (never been to Japan), everyone wants the best coolest *insert random item here*. People will upgrade their phones and other gadgets every month, and get rid of their old ones.
In the US (live in US so cant say the same about other countries), yes people will buy the latest greatest, but will keep it for years, how many people do you know that have cellphones that are 2-3 years old. People will only upgrade when their gadgets break, or a new technology comes out they really need. so new phones come out slower, and cheaper (cheap = break easy).
No point in rushing out the newest greatest items when people will allways wait.
If your a big enough venue (read thosands of seats) then most likely your all ready owned by a large corporation. Clear channel does not support small venues, and in most cases goes out of its way to destroy them. So it britney can't play at the target center, so be it.
It really depends on what your idea of what spyware is. If you say, are beta testing a game (the new matrix for example), they will install software that will monitor your pc and report errors, pc information, and I would guess usage of the game etc. ISP's (like bellsouth) install spyware to help their customer service determin problems customers will have with their PC's. Im sure it does more then that though.
People can use the free version, that does not have all the features of the pay to use version.
Whats wrong with a company that is still offering there product for free, but trying to make money off it by offering more features to the people who are willing to pay for it.
Just because a company wants to make SOME money does not make it a bad thing.
I am most likely wrong about this but innovation doesn't really help out people (workers not consumers) , when it comes to jobs if the work is outsourced does it?
The way I see it is Company ABC innovates some new product, Product its owned by American company, software is written in India, hardware is created in Japan, product it put together in China. Where does this help out American works?
Sure, out sourcing isn't going to hurt business, in fact it will help business's grow, and yes inovation will expand in many areas, and the "American" technology industry will grow, but their will be little returned to the American works, who don't exist.
I don't know why Applie didn't do something like this sooner, maybe its in the works as I write this, but why hasn't apple created a system simular to MP3.com, where artists and "sign up" to apples record lable, or record distrobution.
Artist sells their songs online (say.75 cents per song) artist gets.25, apple gets.50 everyone wins, artist gets some cash, apple gets cash, RIAA gets fucked.
Seems better then working with the RIAA.
This would also work out great for Apple if they did become a record label, they could sign up artists that sell well on Itunes, send them on tours, and boom, sell more music, and apple gets great PR.
Noo, Service packs will bundle things such as new versions of IE, new versions of windows media player, Active X, Direct X, updates to different features, security patches, bug fixes.
Its not just security and bug fixes, also if you have microsoft games installed, their will sometimes be patches for these.
Yes, 5th version, not 5th new OS. This is the same as Microsofts 4th service pack. Yes you do normally get new software with MacOS X, but you also need to pay too much for this update. MS service packs are free.
"During the first three years of the project some 210,000 species of marine life have been noted, including 600 new species of fish."
It is said that we have only explored 10% of our oceans, meaning that 210,000 species is pretty small number.
Double that to 420,000 numbers of species for male and female pair, assuming most are not a sexual, and take into account the amount of water and space each species would need to surive, and not taking into consideration the technology needed to keep many of these species alive (pressure, clean water etc), How could this be done?

Someone explain to me how this could have been done, and Ill start beliving your faith, until then its nothing but false truths, lies, and a form of control, nothing more.

O well, cant wait to download it.
Won't work, the riaa has been trying this for years to stop music theft. No one will steal if its bad music, yet people will still listen to it.
Great to hear, now I know that I won't die from old age, but instead starvation.

Running the site on the w3 validator brings up 53 errors.
If your pushing a standard, why not follow the standards all ready existing.
Don't forget that you could also throw in a Select before start to give you 30 characters and have 2 players (each player would then have 30 lives).
"Burst has no other business outside its suit and evidently is the model BayStar wants SCO to emulate. "
aka the bank wants SCO to stop everything, and focus everything on suing people.
Didn't see that coming.

For those who didn't RTFA yes, it has slots for supporting old GBA games.
"Do NOT let the cartels continue to dictate to you and your favorite artists how the music you love will be distributed and at what cost."
No, the artists sign up to be dictated by the cartels. This is why my favorite artists are not signed to major labels. Its that easy.

All I want, and all I care about is having the best product for the best price.
Windows sells more computers with their OS on in then anyone else, are they better?
Opinions aside, all that will matter to me when I build my next PC is proformance and price.

"Or that reforesting the Earth would have taken hundreds of thousands, if not million of years."
Well tress can live underwater for many years, because of the oxygen in the water.
Salt water might be a different story though.
No the reason why it was taken off was because it was listed on fark.com 2 days ago :).
