    i have an even better idea: transporters.
    then you have the office hire a guy name scottie whom you would call when you needed to beam in.
    you'd save on gas, wouldn't have to give up precious house space for a holodeck, and wouldn't have a holodeck to keep powered (which, i imagine, would rack up an electric bill as expensive as a tank of gas during the 8 hour work day).

    I know he's an AC, but mod it up. And when reevaluating WoW, reevaluate how much damage it is inflicting on your life (thats like 1d-fuckin-a-million points of damage). Then lose some weight, make some friends, go out, and get laid.

    Don't give me the "but it's fun" argument, either. Heroine is fun, too, and look at the toll it has on people.

    with the ps3 and psp is that the technology they choose is ahead of its time. this translates into slow starts with their systems, as the hardware in the systems is beyond the price range of what people want to pay.
    the upside of this is that it ensures longevity of a system if and when popularity takes hold.
    the psp is a great little gadget that, much like the ps3, got off to a slow start. /P

    Those rare-earth magnets that move the head inside of a hard drive are about 1.25 T.
    MRIs in hospitals use about 3 T.
    16 T will levitate a frog.

    Ahh the days... I used to hide outside of Moonglow and plant tinker trapped boxes to blow up curious passers-by. Then I would plant tinker traps in their backpacks and watch as the would-be looters met the same fate. Then I'd just loot everyone myself. Those were the days.

    it's as simple as that. there are so many review sites out there that you are bound to find one that "agrees" with you. for my taste in gaming, i find IGN's review system ideal. if i'm interested in a game, i look at the score. if the score is high enough, i read the review to see what makes the game so good. if i like the review, i buy the game.

    i use the score stricly as a guide to whether or not i read the review. i use the reviewers words to decide if i want the game.

    any idiot who keeps their only copy of important data on a laptop and nowhere else deserves to lose that data, IMHO. unless, of course, you're the "magical Slashdotter" who never drops anything, loses anything or has anything stolen.

    Next generation means literally and only that these consoles are the next generation (now current generation) of consoles. In that sense, all three are next-gen. I have to agree with you that the Wii misses the boat on this. As developers start taking advantage of the capabilities of the 360 and PS3 more and more, I think the Wii is going to be left collecting dust much like the gamecube.
