Nice rant, but you have it ass-backwards. The DUI app should not be removed/banned (free speech blah blah blah), but at the same time Apple should not be excluding apps that are subject to the same arguments about freedom of speech. Yet they do and their morality, if that is indeed the basis of their decision to not allow soft porn, comes across as more than a bit bent.
Interesting the lack of scientific subjects amongst his claims. Yes, he mentions psychology but I'm talking about things like physics and mathematics which are not that easy to plagiarise or regurgitate from other sources without justification.
Whilst both absurd concepts, they are not the same thing.
The immaculate conception was something invented by the catholic church to plug a loophole in the story about a mere human giving birth to a god.
It seems like any kind of Linux usage statistics you see these days are just a load of hot air. Hopefully this will provide some solid data and hopefully Canonical will make it public.
I for one will happily enable it.
Dreaded?
Incredibly annoying?
Come one, it's just a trumpet.
I get the feeling that after all the prophets of doom predicted the stadiums wouldn't be finished and the fans would be murdered by criminals, they have nothing left to complain about except the little trumpets.
You say you're not even sure about compatibility and then say there are too many compatibility issues?
Sounds like you don't even own an Android device.
I have encountered no such issues and apps are not restricted to Android versions. I have written a couple of apps on a 1st gen Android 1.5 phone and they all worked flawlessly on my new HTC Desire (2.1) when I loaded them from the market place. No rebuild necessary, they all work on 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.1
Is wikipedia also part of some conspiracy to discredit poor innocent Americans?

"Under UCI rules, the determination of whether or not a cyclist violated any rules must be made by the cyclist's national federation, in this case USA Cycling, which transferred the case to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA)."
The evidence was good enough for the USADA but it's not good enough for the experts on slashdot?
The same mathematical model does not necessarily mean that thought processes are driven by anything quantum mechanical. Quantum theory uses probability models as do psychological models. They are defined by probability theory and not the other way round. i.e. quantum theory uses models that existed before the discretization of energy was even considered.
The problem is, all the good charity work doesn't cancel out the toxic fallout from the scrapped hardware. Besides, the junk the richer countries send there is hardly a charitable donation, it's a dumping ground.
Invasive checks into your laptap/phone/mp3 player at airports? check.
Government agencies with direct access to all major network nodes? check.
Using spy satellites on its own citizens? Not yet (as far as you know).
Hang on... damnit! wrong country...
Funny that a Republican would be pointing that out :P
1. The electron beam scanning in a CRT. 2. Inside a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. 3. A lightning strike (too difficult maybe)
She has arisen.
Fee speech for all of course, but when Apple simply ignores that and bans apps because of their content, the fanbois become conspicuously silent.

Apple's puritanical censors don't allow boobs in the app store but have no problem with apps like this? Someone's moral compass is a bit wonky...

They stopped updating it when it was very convincingly proven in the bible that pi is exactly equal to 3.
I'm pretty sure the inequality imposed on them is a direct result of the imposition of Christian 'morals'

Why does the heading refer to him as a champion? He is no champion. He cheated and had lost the medal.
I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the protocol was somehow hobbled to keep the copyright nazis happy.

Why does it takes weeks to deploy a spade? Surely if it landed safely, they just click the 'Deploy spade' button...
