And in europe they don't have as many layers of taxation. That 41% you mention is it (VAT also) and maybe a form of property tax. US has Fed tax, state tax, city tax, sales tax, property tax. In some cases we pay a LOT more than the europeans who by the way get free stuff for their taxes like health care and higher education. We get nukes, subs, carriers, stealth fighters, etc.
To do something so stupid. Most people like mechanical keyboards more than any other input device. You cannot beat the tactile response of a mechanical keyboard but hey, more power to them.
I don't get it? Why do we think vouchers and public schools are mutually exclusive? Why do we think public schools have to suck? Why do poor neighborhood schools have to be worse than rich neighborhood schools? Why can't all schools adhere to some standards of performance?
You have to separate the rendering pipeline into multiple parts. The server side can do a lot of the heavy lifting of calculating polygons, etc but it does not need to send every pixel to the client device. It only needs to send the description. Think something along the lines of a PDF doc that describes the scene to be rendered. If the hardware on the client side is optimized to render that then it can be done. At least, that's how I would do it if someone paid me tons of money to attempt to do it.
1) Win 10 is not a real OS, it goes way beyond the mandate of an OS.
2) There's no reason why Win 7 could not get driver updates and patches for newer types of devices and live forever other than MSFT wanting to make more $$$ from Win 10
The large tech giants pay so much that it skews the Risk/Reward of any startup-minded person. Usually start ups were created by people that did not see a payroll job as good enough and took the risk of starting their own. Now, even people on the bottom tier of a tech giant make a very good living. Very hard to give that up.
It should be up to the Company and the employee to decide what kind of relationship they want to engage in. I don't want the govt to tell me if I am a worker or a freelancer/contractor.
It is not neutral. It already censors and decides what is monetizable and what is not. They can't have it both ways. Either be truly neutral (like they used to be) or abide these kinds of rulings.
There are so many laws NO ONE can know if they are breaking any of them at any point in their life. It's a mess. If anyone decides to look into anyone else's life they will find those transgressions of many obscure laws.
Everytime I go there and go to a pharmacy to get a prescription refill while abroad, the price charged is usually even lower than my copay in the USA. It is an obscenity against US consumers. We should really be in the streets with pitch forks about this but we are not. The fact that most drugs are covered and only copay is needed obfuscates the real retail prices that would cripple anyone without insurance. I was shocked about the prices in europe. Most americans would not even need prescription coverage for most of those drugs as their street price is ridiculously low compared to what we pay in the USA
I mean, since they don't need drivers, they only need the cars and a place to park them during off peak hours. The whole business becomes a lot simpler if you do not need to hire drivers.
I know for a fact that my daughter's school has a huge influx of Asian students all paying full tuition no questions asked.
All unnecessary as you can just upload everything to the cloud ahead of time. All these fishing expeditions on carried devices is silly

Love coffee and I can have it at any time even before bedtime. Actually, espresso makes me drowsy.

I mean the story was told, everyone liked it, move on. Continuing it just makes a mess of everything obviously. Find a new story/universe to tell.

Why not? All it would take is some legislation.
My city still expects me to show up in town hall with my car registration document in order to get a beach/park permit.
We are at least 3/4 of the way there. In 50 years they won't even know what 2001 is/was. They may think it's a documentary.

Except for the lack of vertical apps and such, the actual phone as a communications platform was superior to IPhone and Android.

correction: They want the best cheap engineers
I mean, please, look around.
This, the goal is to avoid taxation, that's why the crypto disciples are called crypto-anarchists.
I am not talking about fancy features. I am talking purely about thumb typing. Windows Phone Keyboard was much superior. Much fewer mistypes.
The trend has reverses on GPU pricing
They are just as creative as we would expect a healthy human to be
