I had the same problem trying to connect this to my Thinkpad A31p. Didn't auto-repeat, & you can't have that, can you? Ended up having to get a port replicator. & I bet I'll have to do the same for every future laptop for ever (as I haven't found a better - & more modern - keyboard in 15 years).
Also, before someone mentions it, yes I have another model m with this mod, & that didn't work either.
I've always (when a separate HD was not available) put the swap file in it's own partition - ideally in the phyical middle if you think it's going to be used alot - ever since I had a real bad experience with OS/2 swap mechanism smiting every sector of the partition it was in - right from sector 0 onwards.
Ok, so I don't use it any more, & it's probably fixed now (yes - it really did do it), but stuff like that gets burnt into your psyche.
I'm sorry, but are you joking or something? Do you really think that this is really a valid Ask Slahdot post? It's not April 1st yet, so it isn't that. Are you smoking something weird?
This question is akin to those who (after finding newgroups on OE), going straight to alt.folklore.computers & - seeing that it seems quite busy - asking "what does Missing Operating System" mean on their newly bought mass market POS.
Oh, I was going to go on at length about the demise of the typical post etc but I can't be bothered.
well....It (CS:Condition Zero) is already apparently on my computer already (via the steam 'trickle feed' update) - the 'gcf' (game cache file?) is there. Apparently all I have to do is wait for them to 'release' it officially, so delivery on time seems to be a moot point.
hmmm...have I got time to attempt to hack it out...?
You mean like one of these?
(this fluke controls ants, btw)
I use it.
There are no complaints.
fyi:
Turn arond time typically 3 days (in the postbox by 12pm -> email telling you they've got it & what you're getting next -> receipt).
Only one unreadable DVD out of ~ 20 so far. Using their online 'damage reported' method, they sent a replacement before I returned the bad one.
Experimental servers or not, total size is still over fourteen times larger.
maybe they'd better obfuscate it a bit.
Ah - the arbitrary 'Model M' post when the word 'keyboard' appears in the article.
You're right - it's called a TV Licence.
Pah! It's EDLIN for the M$ OSes, matey.
..as in "Computer says 'No'" eh?
gak
:/
just one extra letter & an inadvertant 'enter' will mess this preemptive comment up.
here come the pedants
old troll.
move along.
I see.
It sure as hell didn't hit the main page - obviously the "Red Hat Software" section isn't deemed important enough.
ah well.
The Fedora 3 release would beat this to /.
(end of boring post)
...and it's not as if there isn't anyone there who's happy to fritter away amounts like that on rubbish
Just fly /. in 'Light' mode.
you know it makes sense.
you mean it had one of these in it.
ditto here - & same sentiments re current lineup (i asked IBM already). end of an era :(

You wait 'till you see that /. post about "an avi of spectators watching games" - that's when you should worry.

omg.
Too right, I have been dreaming of veneering my IBM M keyboard, but it must be a major hassle to do those keys. I'd pay UKP1000 for it though.
