I still break out the 8bit to play smb2. It's just a fun game to play.
Even the newer Mario games, while good games, do not nearly have the same 'fun' factor. There just to frustrating.
I still think that the ending to SMB2 is ones of the best in all gaming history. I still remember the first time I beat it. It was the coolest ending. I can still hear the ending music in my head...
I wish they could return the games to that level of fun. Even if the graphic's lack by today's standards.
What I think he means is about non-musician types.
I currently have my CD collection ripped/converted to MP3 (r3mix settings. I know, even those aren't the greatest anymore.) There currently is no real justification for me to re-encode all my CD's in FLAC. Maybe someday I will. But for now I'm happy with my CDParanoia/LAME -r3mix/winamp combination. The files are reasonably small, sound quality is close to excellent.
But for Musicians and people who move/remix music a lot, hell FLAC does look like the way to go.
Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the U.S. It's seen as the beginning of the Christmas Shopping season. The retailers see it as their best retail day of the year.
I tend to stay away from Malls and shooping centers on that day. Those places are like zoos.
Back when TV was just starting to get big they were worried about the same thing. When was that? About 50 years ago. Guess what the movies are still here. The studios and theatres will just have to adapt like they did before.
I really doubt this will be a real issue. I can imagine I'd ever have a 30 - 45 ft screen in my house. I like going to movies just for the massive screen size. LOTR looks great on my home TV, but it will never compare to the theatre.
These guys are their own worst enemy. The RIAA doesn't need to do anything. These companies will end up destroying themselves. This is not the type of PR these guys need.
I completely agree with the stability issue. That's always been a major plus for the consoles.
Neverwinter nights is a great game for 5 minutes until it crashes...I gave up on it for now. After replaceing every driver 3 times, tweaking the bios, yada yada yada. It still crashes. Consoles have a definite advantage in a single architecture.
It's weird, I read all these views from people outside ( and inside the US ), they think they understand our country.
Well you don't, nobody does, not even those that live here.
I live, work, vote, and bitch in the US. I'm still trying to figure it out. It's a Republic, not a true democracy, we have no direct control over what our leadership does.
I have no desire at all to attack Iraq, and it looks to me like most of the US (the people) are of the same mind. Unfortunately we don't make the decisions. GW is trying to get backing for his battle, I don't see it coming. But he'll fight it anyway and get more people pissed off.
just for the record, I am not a paranoid war monger any more than all canadians are seal clubbers.
and another thing,
what if GW is right? Don't argue that there is no proof...blaha blah blah. Hypothetically, what if he is, and Saddam could nuke people. Scary thought.
I've seen different paint schemes done on planes, specifically the SR-71, which have the under-carriage painted silver/white. I've often wondered if the brightness of the plane to the sky was the reason for it.
I have been told by many people that when you run network cable near Electric it would cause noise problems. So this to me now seems almost blasphemous.
I'm not a Electrical Eng. but this sounds like the signal would be crap.
When the average user of a windows PC, can play there computer games, use bill paying software, etc, etc....they will be more inclined to by a PC with Linux.
I'm sorry for insinuating that everyone who shops at Wal-mart is "joe sixpack".
Linux is a great operating system, but it won't adopted by the general public until they can do all everything on it that they can do now with windows. No matter who sells it.
What needs to be done is for widespread Business adoption. The more people use it at work, the more applications there will be, thus more people will want to use it at home...
this will take time... I don't believe that even Wal-mart can change it.
Once again to all the Wal-mart Shoppers, I am sorry for calling you "joe sixpack". I will now leave you, and go to my room to think about my mistake.

Maybe a little... The newest versions are a hell of a lot easier to maintain. (Opinion here)
Especially since users can access the apps through Mozilla/netscape. Makes deployment pretty easy.
I was running SAP (GUI interface) off it in like 5 minutes.
One problem with Citrix though is that you need terminal server licenses from MS. So that can cut into the money savings.

Ever hear The ballad of Bilbo Baggins?
I'm still trying to imagine Spock saying "Fuzzy little toes".
Almost as bad as Lucy in the Sky....

I guess that answers that question.

I like the part about the mercenaries.
:)
My wife and I have 2 completely different views on work. I hold the mercenary philosophy, she thinks has to be a slave. I'm much less stressed.

I don't live out in BFE either (bumble f#$% egypt). If you drive down the road you see 1 tranformer per house...give or take a house.

It doens't look as good in these pictures as I've seen in others. The NPC's looked blocky, I thought that this was suppose to be smoother than that.
But in the end it doesn't matter, FPS's make me sicker than a dog after 30 minutes.

WHat about all the debris that falls back down to Earth everyday?
I don't really know, but if I rmember correctly it's quite a lot.
Space dust, meteorites, old satellites...
Minus the old satelites, aren't we actually gaining mass everyday?
Of course though you reference about when people start shipping out the trash everyday...
That could be the real start of problem.
Sean D.
I always liked that quote.
Best idea yet,
Simple, yet effective!

Hey, it's an 84' if all you need is an O2 sensor, your good to go!!

The notes from Marque_Off seem to be lines of text from other Posters comments. I've seen some of those lines before. I know I have.

I'm not all that familiar with Bots. It does seem kind of interesting to see it progress.
To stay on-topic....This rocket guy needs a new personality. Sheesh...it like he didn't even get the Dr Strangelove reference.
I'm on-topic now. But I'm also Redundant

Wal-mart carries "Big Game Hunter for Linux"..
Until then, Joe Sixpack won't give a crap.

They do sell them pretty cheap.
A guy I work with got a el-cheapo DVD player for $79 the other day from Wal-mart. You get what you pay for though.

They won't let you bring in alcohol without signing it in for the record. Make your own!!! Nobody is the wiser...

oh wait...you said you wanted legal items only...
