Using Google DNS & L3 DNS here (Gulf Coast). It doesn't matter what DNS provider you use, I don't think, it hits you anyway. I don't think the west coast is affected by the outage, though. At least, that's what Cox says.

DDoS-filtered, un-metered inbound bandwidth, ('only' 500gb outbound) can't really complain for $20-something a month.

Verizon has been the strongest as far as signal and speed form my experience.
It's the exact opposite in southern (don't know about northern) Louisiana.
Lafayette region here, no problems with signal...voice/3g/4g all work fine.
