I have to disagree. Or at least I am an outlier. I have been playing video games since pong (my school had a pinball machine (cost a dime!) and a pong cocktail table game in the HS student lounge and I would play every day after school (this is late 70s). During the 80s I lived in the local arcade, owned most every home console system (and still do plus all the ones in between). I have been playing video games for over 3 decades now. And I have been playing WoW pretty much since launch. I have been a hardcore raider and I have been a purely casual player ( and I currently sit somewhere in between). WoW makes plenty of sense to me, but then again, I also have an extensive pen and paper RPG background as well.
Tennant was ok, but only about #3 or #4 on the list... I put Tom Baker at #1, Patrick Troughton #2 and probably Tennant, but if he keeps up, Matt Smith might just take #3 or even the #2 spot.
I think the new Doctor will work out fine. He reminds me a bit of my favorite Doctor, Tom Baker (the 4th). And all through the new series with Eccleston and Tennant, there really wasn't a 'Fuck Yeah' moment (as far as I was concerned). This had that. I don't want to give anything away from those waiting for the BBC America showing, but you will know it when you see it.
As far as I am concerned, its not about the ad, its about the safety. I only block ads because they are a vector of infection. Can you guarantee that ads are safe? No? Then get off your self pretentious soapbox. If content costs so much, then the creator will either find an revenue stream that doesn't include ads (and honestly... this is 2010. Who clicks ads anymore) or they will fold.
I have an authenticator and not the best eyesight and do not have a problem reading the numbers. Of course, I only got the authenticator because they were giving an in-game pet with it and I am such a geek, I had to have it:) I have been playing since launch, and have never been hacked, but when one of the officers of my guild got hacked and the GB cleaned out (and it took weeks to get only 80% restored) I figured that the investment is well worth it.
Man made Climate change is a political tool to further the agenda of the greens. That large flaming ball of gas at the center of our solar system has more impact on the Earths climate than man does.
Its been hotter than now, its been colder than now. Life goes on.
What people seem to miss is that a Role Playing Game is not a Wargame. It may have simulation elements, but it's - at its roots - a narrative game.
The direction Wizards of the Coast have been taking D&D in for several years now is one of intergration with the miniatures game (and to a lesser extent, the MMORPG) with traditional roleplaying falling increasingly by the wayside. The story no longer matters to a significant portion of the current generation of gamers.
On a more personal note, when I first saw the Surface demoed, my initial instinct was that this would be perfect for Battletech or other miniature based games, but would need some work when it came to RPGs. As far as the DM 'fudging' rolls for the story, we didnt see enough of how the DM station works to assume that is not built in. I am sure there is an override roll button built into the rolling interface on that station.
As a Champions player, I can tell you there are places in the game where role playing is going on. They have built several clubs and other areas for players to gather and roleplay. They do a much better job promoting the RPG aspect of the MMORPG game (notice the last bit... its RPG, stands for ROLE PLAYING GAME) than a lot of other games.
What it boils down to is, you play how you want to play.
There were some Lv70 trinkets and other items that were good till you started doing heroic dungeons. I know I didn't replace some of my sunwell stuff until close to if not at 80.
World of Warcraft and Warcraft share the same lore. Events from the RTS influenced what happened in the MMORPG. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion is fallout from the events of WCIII- The Frozen Throne.
These are all the tower models, which have better air flow. The problem is that systems of that era are subject to the burst capacitors (look for the ones with an X rather than a K or T) and we did have issues with that as well, but we preemptively replaced MBs and PSUs of the of the ones with failing capacitors before our warranty ran out.
As far as running the software, GIMPS is usually pretty good about sharing processor time, and some of the heavier use labs are scheduled to run 9pm-7am.
The nice part is we can crank out a lot of numbers when you have 500+ systems all running GIMPS in the background:)

What part of 'Beta' did you not understand?
... after all, I did this in a RIFTS campaign years ago to set up a global communications network for our group :)
Yes.. I am a huge geek. Thanks for asking.
A reusable space vehicle which could be launched to retrieve or repair the satellite...
is that all? I have about 12,000 hours in World of Warcraft over the last 5 and a half years :)
I am still waiting for my Call of Duty: Grenada.
Sorry.. Tom Baker was the best Doctor... Troughton was good, too.

... in the Auction House. At least on my server.
It seems he has gotten the aliens to crash on another country besides the UK this holiday season...

... will it blend?

D-D-D-D-Don't copy that floopy.
Word to your motherboard.
I'm outta here.
the comparison is like comparing apples and monkeys.
mmmm... Monkeys... err.. Apples... I meant apples...
I believe this is what the call a stimulus package... or do I have that backwards? :P
