Sometimes I think he deliberately underplays his role. I love him in Constantine (which I also refer to as his antiNeo flick: Angela/Rachel Weisz the cop pulls out a gun, and he almost sneers, That really won't help) because it made Rachel more interesting even though his is the title role.
If I ever caught these on TV, i'd watch them right there: 1) Jonny Mnemonic and 2) Point Break, because he's With Busey.
I had worked on a register with a touchscreen, and WinXP. THe register part worked and you could enter data fast because things like scrollbars and buttons were huge. But when you had to switch to something in Control Panel for instance, since the widgets were normal size instead of touchscreen size, it would always be a struggle to move or close a window using any of the GUI buttons.
I agree, forget about using standard desktop OSes. And that's what the iPad is demonstrating.

Do what I did, replace them with nice-looking plain bold TEXT. Horizontal or Vertical, they work. Eventually you get to know where the app is after constant use. Ever since icons started losing their meaning, and then started going wacky with bubble-gum fisher price colors, I chose to make mine a business minded desktop.
Add your own effects as well, e.g. reflection, shadow. And mostly neutral colors, so they won't distract from color graphics work.
This (iPad Keyboard Dock) has got to be the form factor I've been looking for, for ages. I'd switch to landscape mode if I could, without the iPad switching to portrait and ruining it for me.
