My website shows 100% firefox usage. But then again, I'm the only one that knows about it.;-)
Btw, in recent version of Firefox, I've been having a weird issue when reading Slashdot. I use the scroll wheel on the mouse to scroll down, but if I accidentally rest my hand on the mouse too hard and accidentally click the scroll wheel and/or left button, the page jumps right to the bottom. Very annoying to loose your place, and it happens several times a day for me. My guess is that it's related to selecting text (holding down the left mouse button while turning the wheel). Anyone else notice this, or is it just me?
These problems have all been solved in UNIX many years before the registry was ever conceived of.
1) You can store binary files under/etc 2) Any app can read the config file of any other app under/etc 3) Each user stores their custom config under their/home folder
Plus from a manufacturing perspective, it's easier and cheaper to mass produce items which are the same.. To add an item that is different from the rest and will also be a low volume seller, it's bound to cost more.
Haven't we gone through this already? How many times have businesses floated this concept over the last couple of years? What on earth makes them think consumers will want self-destructing DVDs this time?
It's also conceivable that there are uses for computers on a warship besides desktop workstations. Many such uses wouldn't require any network connectivity..
In other news this morning, Slashdot has reportedly provided copious free traffic to three major web advertising presences in one fell swoop. Says one stunned Slashdot reader: "WTF??"
20 years ago when I went to Disney World there was an exhibit where you go into a circular room and a video is played all around you, 360 degrees. I believe that was made with multiple cameras, though.

It sounds nice, but is it Y2K compatible?
Not as big as (gasp) Canada!

Although, to be fair, most of Canada's population is within 500 miles of the US/Canada border.
Slashdot would be a blank page if you did all that.
Or at least a free month of subscription. ;-)
It would kinda make you wonder who you're wife's been sleeping with, though.
You can see a bit of the evolution of Slashdot here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://slashdot.org

Is that like a secret decoder ring?
I've been saying the same thing for years .. I'd rather play Pac-Man or Breakout than most games out today.
But do they have pie detectors?
Nudges, winks, avatars .. who says Microsoft doesn't inovate!
I have the same problem with my v300 phone.. The power connector is really finicky.
Only if they don't pay their bills on time...

Touché!
Backslashdot?
Then how do you get B players?
When the A players mate with C players, sometimes they produce B players.
If only Slashdot had "play once" stories... ;-)
Hell, I can't even find WinMX ..They mysteriously dissapeared off the face of the Internet about a week ago.
Haven't you seen "Fight Club"?
I, for one, will no longer buy their toothpaste.

This is why I never read the articles... ;-)
