  1. What? on In-Game Advertising Makes Games Better? · · Score: 1

I enjoy seeing each games fake take on real world companies/products. It's funny a lot of times, other times it's very clever. Also I hate, in game ads that have no place being there. Think it was BF2142 where I kept seeing ads for Ghost Rider, which was just terrible.

Interesting. Something on the internet that isn't true. Worse it's on slashdot..oh to bad it's not the glory days when everything on the internet was true and you didn't have to worry about hoaxes or fake news stories.

Nothing like being paid to spy on your fellow man. They should really just offer rewards for catching people having sex on cctvs. Less ethical issues to deal with, and they would probably still have a lot of crimes reported.

exactly what I was thinking. Robot bees could guarantee 100% pollination rates or close. Not saying natural bees aren't good. Still Still I wonder if they will make mini flies for spying on people.

How in the world do you patent something like this. I expect the people at the patent office see the patent request and are like "What the hell is this?" then a few guys pass it around and all decided they dunno what it is. So they shrug "Must be new" out comes the patent approved stamp!

  10. PC on Sony Sued Over Bricked PS3s · · Score: 2, Interesting

This is why I continue to buy PCs I like to have a lot of control over my gaming system. That and Consoles are simply trying to play catch up with PCs still. Seriously only this generation has just now gotten 'online' support. The fact you have to pay for online capability on some systems is ridiculous too. It now seems that Sony is far from it's glory days of the PS1 and Nintendo far from theirs with the Super Nintendo.

This book was one of my favorites, anthem too was a really good read when I was in high school. Later after I graduated I learned some rednecks tried to get Fahrenheit 451 banned for language and the fact it offended their fundie christian religion. Thankfully they didn't succeed. I don't think they got the irony of trying to ban a book about book banning.

  16. Re:SG-1 on Stargate Universe · · Score: 1

ehh not really, you'll get to see some new tech that humans developed/cobbled together, but it won't give you any super huge massive spoilers. At least none that you'll recognize as spoilers.

  17. My thoughts on Stargate Universe · · Score: 2, Informative

I thought the visuals were good, I liked the 'ancient' star ship and the way it was rendered. It's nice to see something the ancients made that isn't 'pretty'. I didn't really care for the actors but I may grow to like them, the shaky camera stuff was really annoying though and irked me. The sex scene was just randomly thrown in and made me roll my eyes, it was a pointless grab for the crotch thinking audience. A few concerns is how they are going to butcher ancient tech. There is a lot of opportunity to expand on the story of the ancients, but with that huge opportunity is a massive chance they are going to kill it. I'm hopeful it will be a good addition to the Stargate series.
