  2. Regular coopers on Electric Mini Cooper Has Rough Start · · Score: 1, Informative

I always thought the regular minis were pretty cool looking, but I've never had a chance to sit down in one and see what they feel like on the road. As far as all electrical or even hybrid vehicles all my experiences with them tell me a few things, they don't have the same sort of get up and go power to them that a regular vehicle has in most cases and they are terribly expensive to repair. Good for the 'environment' or not I don't imagine I'll be moving trading my Tundra in for an alternate fuel source vehicle any time soon. Especially not the Prius, those things are just terrible.

  3. No problem on Novelists On the E-Book Experience · · Score: 5, Insightful

I love the -idea- of Ebook readers, nothing is more awesome than being able -in theory- to carry around all my college text books and all my favorite novels on a thin little device that has a huge battery life. But in general all the systems that I've thought about buying I've turned down for being to locked down, or to expensive. DRM and Price is really a deal breaker, and the idea of rebuying books I already own so I can read them on my ebook reader is a little obnoxious. I love the Idea just hate the execution thus far, but I'm still hopeful for the tech to catch on.

  5. ehh on DX11 Tested Against DX9 With Dirt 2 Demo · · Score: 5, Insightful

I Personally view DX11 as I do sonys push from DVD to blueray. Sure blueray has some nice features but I'm still enjoying my DVDs, and I don't really need uncompressed audio tracks for every language on my disks. Same thing with DX11, I've not even properly gotten set with many DX10 games and now they are pushing DX11 (well pushing as in mostly tech demos) and I've not even got much dust on my latest graphics card. I'll upgrade in a few years, perhaps when I see DX9 vanish, or at least become increasingly uncommon.

I don't recall this so called consumers loosing, when Microsoft tried to compete with Google with their last 2 (or was it 3) search engines. The only way you might loose is if you inflict pain upon yourself by using Bing. I give it a year maybe 2 before Bing is gone.

Well that's just it you can't build a razor wire wall and laugh as people cut themselves trying to get through it. It seems to me the first mistake to be made is to treat a digital front as if it was a front in an actual war. All you're doing it guarding secrets most often, or sometimes vital services. Best way to protect them is physical separation from civilian networks. I know my friend who does communication translation for the military works on a network where they mirror a hand full of sites (wiki among them) every week and host them in house simply because having the network connected to the internet at large is just to risky.

There's an art to reading graphic novels, and knowing how to read them. To analyze the frames for relative action to the story and so on. I for one have never been as good at understanding comics as I have traditional literature.

Seriously why are people kissing Carmacks ass these days? Did anyone play the new 'Wolfenstein'? The guy can only live on the success of doom and the original Wolfenstein for so long. As far as I'm concerned the guy may be a good programmer but in terms of making games that are fun and are genuinely good he's a has been. I don't care about any of his new games to come out. Rage? Doom 4? seriously a Doom 4. Like we need another Doom.
