  1. Never sign up for anything ever.

Really. Don't do online payments, don't subscribe to news organizations, don't stream games, don't get email notifications, nothing. The only sort of safe exception is medical information under HIPPA.

Remember no organization is at risk if they leak your info. The cost of a breach is just factored into the cost of doing business. That's why HIPPA is an exception. Medical information leaks are treated extremely seriously and they can even cause an organization to be shut down.

The only one who is at risk if personal data becomes public is you. Organizations don't give a damn about you.

Have you ever been outside the United States?

It's obvious that you have never been to Europe because the phrase "European Socialist Utopias" as a criticism is 100% unrelated to life in the EU. There are places in the EU that have serious problems, but primarily they were previously under Communist regimes or had their economies destroyed by the 2008 global crash. Examples of the latter are Greece and Portugal which were driven into default by US, German, British and French bankers.

For example Goldman-Sachs outwitted the then Government of Greece by structuring loans that G-S knew were unsustainable. Meanwhile they issued Credit Default Swaps that paid out huge sums if there was a default. They made money selling the loans and they made money from the failures: heads G-S wins, tails Greece looses. The final debt burden was much larger for Greece because of the one-two punch.

By the way, I have been to Europe, both East and West, and people at the bottom of the economy are better off then those in the same situation in the US. And those at the top in the EU still have supercars and mansions and multiple houses etc. So what are you whining about?

    Yes, Bennett was wrong.

The Culture War era was a reactionary pushback to the gains made by minorities and women preceding the Regan era. It was an example of blaming the victim, a tactic being used by Trump and the Republican Party right now.

Culture Warriors like Bennett demonized their targets and used racial fear and hostility for political propaganda. Bush 41 used the infamous Willie Horton political ad in his election campaign.

Many other commentators remarked that the Bush presidency, and back to the Horton ad of the campaign, stoked racial animosity. Even if there was not an intentional race-bating or similar dog whistle in the ad, the fact that he was black is still a key part of how the ad is still discussed.

Bennett and the Heritage Foundation contributed to the current political situation where Trump made excuses for Nazis marching in North Carolina. The next day an innocent woman was killed by one of the right wingers in a hate crime. You OK with that?

One county also made a ringtone that warns people when they’re calling a “deadbeat."

This is the part everyone is ignoring:

"In terms of credit, employment and housing ads, the problem with this system is that it discriminates where it shouldn't: Five ads for lumber industry jobs were delivered to an audience that was more than 90 percent men and more than 70 percent white; five ads for janitorial work were delivered to an audience that was more than 65 percent women and 75 percent black," the report adds. "Housing ads also showed a racial skew."

That is discriminatory and illegal. The researchers looked at lots of factors, including areas where targeting is acceptable practice. They wanted to know if Facebook was using their targeting algorithm where it should not be used. The answer seems to be that Facebook is breaking the law.
