I noticed that both Batman Begins and Sin City have quite a few big names in their cast (plenty with critical acclaim as well- Del Toro here, Michael Caine in BB)
However one thing I felt by watching this trailer (many times) is that some times I get distracted by the actors. Perhaps seeing the movie on the big screen in its entirety (until they release the Extra Special Bonus Edition DVD at least) will ease that.
Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba in particular seemed to have this "Whoa that just changed the whole tone this thing had going." when they showed them on screen.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but perhaps a few more unknowns would have "worked" better.
I hate this new controllers for every console. It's one reason why PC game accessories don't sell for crap. They keyboard/mouse works for almost anything except flight sims.

I like the way the Gamecube controller works. The button layout is weird to look at, but puts the focus on the "A+B" gameplay type. Simple? Yes. Effective? Indeed.

Networks don't just willy nilly throw content on the air in real-time. There's TV Guide, and if you have digital cable or satellite, the little box you have shows listings with descriptions that tell you what the content of a television show is.
Far cry from being caught unawares of someone fucking a goat on your lawn. Oops I stumbled across a bare ass on NYPD Blue while channel surfing and I'm offended.
Be a little more aware and less dependent on others to make life as easy as possible.
What sort of neighborhood do you live in anyway? Sounds like what's on TV is the least of your worries.

I'm all for helping the children when their lives could be at risk, but hearing a dirty word or seeing naked people, it's gonna happen. Try to teach them to deal w/ it and move on.

They use to do somethin' like this in Madison, WI, but it looks like its a rental situation now. I was a teenager when they started it (10-11 yrs back) and I think it use to be a city run thing.

As long as they design it so you HAVE to plug in an earbud or something to hear the broadcasts sound, I don't really see this being a big deal though.

That's cool of them. However it just depresses me when I think of the mess that the Star Wars Galaxies launch was and the mess that game has degraded into (or has always been depending on who you ask).
I will probably try WoW, but I really wish that SWG had been the Space/Sci-Fi MMO I was looking for.
The first book was part of a 5 year deal they signed with a guy who ran off to Alaska with all the money and is apparently refusing to let them publish more books from the first 5 years of PA. It's in legal hell.
They seemed hopeful to have it worked out soon and also to get books out for year 6 and up.
I agree that melee causing you to drop a gun is weak, but tossing a grenade not so much.
If you're in a fire fight and want to toss a nade are you gonna take the time to holster it first? If they're charging at you, wouldn't u rather ditch the gun to try and get the nade off soon as possible? In a way it makes it more realistic to me.
Those different toolkits and desktops have their strenghts, and different people are going to prefer different solutions.
Different computer programmers/professionals would be a better fit than different people.
Those in accounting, marketing, PHB's, and average Joe's want 1 solution that works, and will work the same, tomorrow, next week, and for the most part over the next few years.
I doubt Bush was set on war with Iraq to free the civilians. More likely it was to help install a government we can control and that our allies in the region *coughSaudiscough* will be able to profit from.
The "We're bringing democracy to the people of Iraq!" shtick is just for sound bites and public opinion. Which, mind you, came after he said the war was against terror and WMD. Which are both lies.
We won't be pulling right out of Iraq any time soon no matter who is elected. I for one, being less a partisan politics man and researching who I vote for (I've voted green, dem, gop, lib for various elected positions), think Bush is a liar with delusions of grandeur.
