Yeah... they have to stop because people are using the browser that comes installed (doesn't software update install it, pretty much automatically?), instead of the version they have to go out and download? If the irony was any thicker, we'd need hip waders. Oh, wait...
Yes. Basically, "to share water with", which on Mars meant you were more than brothers. Considering how little water was/is on Mars, it was a great honor.
My university offered free Legal Advice for students. The only stipulations were that it couldn't be used against another student, or against the university. They had a whole office and everything. Very handy perk.
I've seen several albums where you can only buy the whole album, not individual songs. I've also seen albums for 12,13, even 15 dollars. So why can't the indies do that? Seems like a "you're all equal, but the majors are more equal" (w/apologies to Orwell)
Yes, but considering one of the draws of this is that you're skipping through commercials, won't they look at and say "well, 6 million people watch it, but 3 million of them TiVo it, so we really only reach 3 mill? Pass."
My fave reads in the past couple of months:

A Good Summer Read?

· Score: 2, Informative
James Alan Gardner - Trapped Ken MacLeod - Cosmonaut Keep L.E. Modesitt Jr. - Gravity Dreams Vernor Vinge - Fire Upon the Deep & Deepness in the Sky
And some music, for the sake of something different: Opeth - Damnation (great acoustic album with tons of Mellotron) Soilwork - Natural Born Chaos Gordian Knot - Emergent
Agreed, but isn't that what the **AA want? Everyone to pay for something only a few use? Hence their attempt at taxing blank CDs and DVDs? Heck, tapes _are_ taxed, and I know the bands I listen to are getting none of that money. It's assumed that (insert #1 artist here) should get the lions share. Talk about a scam.
You mention Bruce costing less to make than Reloaded. Probably, depending on everyone's paycheck. However, (and I doubt this enters into anyone's decision on whether to make a movie) in 10 year people will probably still be buying the Reloaded DVD, whereas I don't see that happening with Carrey. Just rent/buy his latest flick - I doubt too many people are going to go back looking for his stuff. All this IMHO, since I hate Carrey. More so since all the 75' screens were showing Bruce this weekend instead of Reloaded.
Dual processor boards have already been announced - it's been eagerly awaited in the MythTV camp, as it should allow dual-tuner support. And since it's low power, you won't need a Zalman/Thermalright heat sink and a specialty fan to make it quiet.
Actually, I don't plan on downloading it for awhile, at the very least. I'll tell you what, watching it on the 75 foot screen is worth the $5. Yeah, I could watch it on my computer/tv, but for now, the experience is much better in the theater
There's so many different things that can go wrong. One of the MS techs recommended (I was having a problem with our new server) that I _not_ go to SP3 for SQL Server, that there were too many big changes.
Personally, I'd recommend you run sqldiag, and diff it with the other server. It'll tell you what other stuff is different. We had a similar problem. What was supposedly an identical server turned out to be anything but, despite installing the same patches. Did you know that for the Slammer worm, there were 8 separate patches released, several of which required an additional patch on top of the patch? Grrr....
To go further OT: care to cite some sources? You're missing citations of which "witches" say this, where, what spells they're talking about, and how close they actually are. Hell, I heard that Matrix is Satan. And unlike you, I even have a cite! http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0503/mat rixrelo aded.html
Naw, makes perfect sense... after all, Apple is dying, isn't it?

Gee, that's a simple problem to solve - rip, cut the first 10 seconds out, make a new CD, and listen. This is not that tough.
I wish I had mod points... this is priceless. It's like a frickin Chicken Lawn Mower. *still laughing*
Widespread adoption of what, exactly? Unix? Too late...
2001. Space-based movie with effects that _still_ hold up.
We should get a /. pool going:
"What is Lucas Eating Now?"
As long as it keeps him from directing or shooting the movie, I'm in. Anything to keep him off set.
No, it's somewhat fitting. Because without it, the RIAA would f*ck you over.

Darn! I thought the city at the bottom of the sea was going to be R'lyeh!

Any idea what theater in Dallas that was? Our tickets (Fort Worth and Dallas) are 5 for a matinee, and 7.50 for a night showing.
...And at least 1 comment talking about how the site is apparently using an NVidia card to serv pages.

Read Ebert's review of The Matrix - he indicates the same thing, in the end speech... "where we go from here, I leave up to you".
...and I'm getting 1 megabit on BitTorrent. (wow)
