    Think this through... How much fuel would such a system need? How often do you think it would need to be repaired?

    I highly doubt such a system would reduce a soldiers reliance on supply lines.

    If you screw up you can request a new ballot. If someone or something else screws up after you've submitted your vote there is no recourse. Most of the cases you mention could be prevented by the voters themselves.

    If I fail to be clear or follow directions then it is my own damn fault. I have plenty of power over what leaves my hands.

    I do not have much power over diebold.

    I think you'll find that all the bugs you listed are caused by voter error.

    I don't know about you, but I'd much prefer to make (and be able to correct) my own mistakes than to loose my vote because someone else fucked up.

    The Athlon has been AMD's redemption, but IMO they are still trying to recover from the K5 and K6 days. They seriously damaged their reputation by claiming that those processors were far better than they were. The PR system is the best example of what AMD did wrong.

    Something I've learned as a sysadmin: developers will ignore RFCs, common sense, and best practices if they feel they can get away with it.

    Non RFC compliant email servers make Greylisting a real PITA. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there are some legitimate multithreaded systems out there.

    We use some sendmail throttling to reduce our load.

    When do people learn that we do not need spam stallers.

    Listen dude, you obviously have little experience with spam fighting. Tarpiting (or stalling as you refer to it) is ineffective against modern spammers.

    Modern spamming software is highly multithreaded and will continue sending thousands of emails even if it's being actively tarpitted by several servers.

    Compare it to a movie or a CD at $25 and $19 respectively. A movie contains 2 hours of content and a cd a little over 60 minutes. Comparatively, the 5+ hours of content provided by a new video game is relatively inexpensive.
