Yes. My sig. has no meaning at all. It is not a remark at Clinton's oral sex affair in office (despite being shown the day after the revelation). Little did I realise I was "sneering at efforts to improve the state of society." Perhaps if I had stuck with the the majority non-satirical newspapers I would have thought that his behaviour was acceptable, and agreed that he should have stayed in office (ever seen Citizen Kane? Did you see it prove that newspapers CAN be coporporate mind control? Or did you just watch because it's in black and white, and was made in the 50's, so it "must be mature"). I hardly see how reading or viewing satire and criticism should be constituted as the surrender of one's "ability to think for themeselves". Ironically, which you fail to point out because you've already decided you hate the show, you miss the point the the simpsons is (or at least was when it started) one of the only programmes in the last decade which was intended to be a social commentary on the state of worthless middle american society.

Truthfully though, they shouldn't be able to redistribute material without the original owners permission. It's what they're doing. OR, if they must do this, they should do it in such a way that they make no profit: otherwise they're just taking credit for someone casts hard work.

The directors guild actually made a really decent comment (for those who don't read articles): "Appallingly, the plaintiffs rely on the right to free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment as an excuse to alter original works and pass them along -- for profit -- to the public," the DGA said. "Perhaps they are unaware that the United States Constitution directed Congress to pass laws to ensure that the creators of original works had the 'exclusive right' to their work and prohibited their unauthorized exploitation by others for financial gain."

"The suit states that despite Listen4ever's connections to China, the site uses a U.S. domain name, is written entirely in English, appears to target an American audience by focusing on U.S. works and does not appear to feature Chinese music."

point 1. The .com domain is used by companies. Comprehend this: it is NOT just for united states domain. There is a world outside.

point 2. "is written entirely in English" - ha ha! I love this one. Ok, firstly, there are other countries in the world that speak english: THE USA WAS NOT THE FIRST!! But secondly, and more importantly, THE USA does not speak english. It speaks a hybrid language, as your American dictionaries will confirm, that spell words like tonight "tonite", colour "color", and...la creme de la creme, favourite "favorite" (just press ctrl-A on any MS browser). IF you check this google cache (http://216.239.51.100/search?q=cache:1gGgIJXQZwkC :listen4ever.com/tapeview.asp%3Ftapeid%3D2123+%22l isten4ever.%2Bcom%22&hl=en&ie=UTF-8)you will see in the title bar, the phrase "Add to your favourites". Ironically, the site isn't targeting America, but presumably any other English speaking country BAR AMERICA, because it actually knows how to spell words in ENGLISH, not AMERICAN.

America isn't going to get better, and it doesn't matter how much you protest, you still won't win (not as long as the majority still doesn't give a fuck). Let's face it, the majority didn't even give a fuck when Bush was voted in undemocratically (i.e. NOT by the people's votes), or when Clinton (one would think the president would be a role model to children - see sig.) was having an affair in office, and STILL stayed in term - this is modern America. All the intelligent people should just move if they feel strongly about it - see what happpens to America then.

It's annoying how things have to supported by respectable names to be considered good by the ignorant. If you've never read or heard his more decent lyrics, have a look at something like this (http://www.eminemworld.com/lyrics/sslp4.shtml), or pretty much anything on his first album. Considering Oxford did a few lectures on him, and the right wing journal The Spectator praised him, and the fact that he did grow up in poverty, I'd hardly call the man 'a hack', although I would agree however, that he's gotten pretty close to it in his later years. I'm anxious to hear this album, because we'll see if he still writes about things that matter to some people (young children being poor, being raised by terrible parents and bad society around them), or whether he's found a niche as a stereotypical modern rapper singing about cars and money and vulgarity.

Let's not forget where the flaw is: immersion should never have been allowed to make such a patent in the first place . Or you could argue that MS and Sony should have never ripped their patent. I hope this really gets in the public eye. I don't think the patent should have been put forward, but it's worth carrying it out just so that Joe Shmoe will criticise the patent office (don't forget that Middle America's running the country - that's why American politicians go on chat shows and wear masks of the opposition).
