    I was just looking at a book about mix tapes in the book store. In the intro the author talks about how records at that time came with warning stickers saying that home recording was destroying music.

    That is a good theory. But like a lot of literay critism it assumes a certain amount of master planning done by the author that I think is not done but projected on the author to make the stories seem more important.

    I run both perl and excel on my windows computers. Perl versions for windows have been out for a long time.

    How are you getting the high resolution color images from terraserver? I get black and white with lower resolution from terra server.

    What does NAFTA have to do with copyright?

    As a trade treaty I would imagine it has a huge amout to do with standardization of commerce laws in Canada, US and Mexico.

    I have to say that this is one reason I like my Iriver so much. It is just a disk drive to the computer. It can be made to work with no additional software. You can add the indexing program that runs in the background when you plug in the irevier.

    You recall incorrectly. USB has two basic modes of transfers which both use packet. Isocronous is for guarneteed bandwidth applications like say speakers. Non isocronous which gets bandwidth when isochronous packets are not being sent.

    It is a cool slashot article because they are extending it beyond what is was intended to be. If it was intended to be expandable then expanding it is not so interesting.

    That sounds like a bunch of extra logic at each flipflop. Which will reduce speed and increase the size of the chips.

    I heard an interview with the editor of an alternative weekly paper discuss why he only published good reviews for books and music. His response was there was not enough space to review all the books and music that come out so he thought people would like to know about good books and music that they would enjoy rather than what not to get. Things that were bad did not merit space in the paper.
