    Do not dare to turn this into pro-Lula propaganda. The fact is that any govenrment with some brains would encourage an open-source trend, nor only Lula. Im a brazilian and I know for sure how inept Lula is and the really stupid things that he is doing, altough I must admit that he is not so bas as I was expecting. But a terrible president anyway.

    If you can spare the money, try 2000Lite/XPlite from litepc.com, it helps to remove all the crap that you wouldnt use anyway

    I'm glad you choose to answer. Guess I'll google a little and try to read more about your religion. You see, anthropology is a sort of hobby for me, and religion is one of the biggest expressions of mankind.

    Mormom, uh? So, tell me, how is it to live by a religion like yours? Are you allowed to drink, smoke and/or get chicks? Do you do it anyway? Do you believe in evolution, in birth control, or are those things against your faith? Do you believe that you may be wrong and that all this god crap is a lie? Last but not least, do you believe that mormons hold the key to the 'right' religion and that the other 99,99% of the world are wrong and going to hell? Those questions can be applied to any religion, btw.

    I can't believe this... Hasn't nobody realized that the so called "free" version (that so many ./'ers have linked from here) now displays an ad for Divx in the low right corner of the screen every so often in the begining of the movies that you play? Has nobody else seen this?. I have no option to turn this AD off, so i guess it fits pretty well as adaware now!

    Everybody criticizes the poster and nobody goes to the lenght of downloading the codec, install it by themselves and see if it ad-ridden? Gosh...

    Dunno... We keep bitching here about how bad is government intervention. We should not keep creating laws just because we feel threatened. If I have no choice about who i hire or where this pernos is located, then there are more chances that me or any other person will engage in creating/expanding a company. What is better, a few jobs in the us and another few overseas or no jobs at all in both countries?

    The only problem in your logic being: If everybody else is doing it and I am not, then I'm going bankrupt soon enough and I will not be able to feed myself then. You, sir, are full of hipocrisy, since I'm sure that if you were the owner of a business and get struck between sending other people's job overseas (and feeding some poor schmuck back there in the menatime) or letting your company go titsup (and firing a lot more people in the process), you will also ship some jobs overseas. Get real.

    The service pack 4 just released for Win2k allows you to hide IE completely; Go to control panel, add/remove programs, click on "Set Program Access and Defaults", then uncheck the box "show this program" for IE. Of course it does not really free all the resources that IE eats, but at least iexplore.exe is gone. BTW, it also works for SP3. It was added as a direct result of the MS antitrust lawsuit.

    Yeah, but the problem is that you are not paying 1/100 of the price of the house, instead you are paying for something like 5/100 of the price of the house. Of course they must have some profit and have they expenses too, but the insurance companies are a bunch of greed bastards. And try to get your car properly fixed after an accident - They will try to fix your car spending the less money possible, doesn't matter if the repair sucks. The insurance companies make deals with the worse and cheapest body repair shops that they can find, and you can't take your car to the mechanic that you trust because he is "not affiliated". Bastards! I speak from experience because I have a few accidents (not my fault) and have to deal with the bastards. Did I mention that they are bastards?
