"Phantasy Star 3: Generations of Doom" was done by a different team than PS1, 2, and 4. Actually, PS4 was simply called "Phantasy Star: End of the Millenium" without the 4 because of this.
I personally enjoyed all of the Phantasy Star games including PS3 and PS Online even though those technically aren't part of the original series.
I live in columbus where we were *not* affected by the outage.
I live in Columbus as well, and can tell you that some people in the city and it's outlying areas *were* affected. We just didn't get hit nearly as bad as elsewhere.
Actually, we already had our major black-out last month due to storms. Maybe we were better prepared.
Actually I recently replaced my Xbox with a Samsung N501 Nuon player after my Xbox refused to play certain DVDs properly. What really ticked me off was that other Xboxen would play the discs fine, and Microsoft would return the system (still under warrenty, mind you) back to me saying it was fixed by them not doing anything. Naturally, it wasn't fixed.
The Nuon games are about as fun as Munch's Oddysee (read: not very) but at least it plays every movie in my collection.
The DVD sets are put out in production seasons rather than airing seasons. There are only 4 production seasons versus the 5 airing seasons due to many episodes being missed because of sports overrun making enough to create another whole season.
They are also being shown out of order... but what show isn't these days.
"UAE" is free and legal as is the software at "Back 2 The Roots" but what you still need is a legal version of the Amiga Kickstart.
Fortunatly, the people behind Amiga Forever have you covered. They sell a licensed copy of the Amiga's Kickstart and it's OS. Actually, their package has several versions of the Kickstart/OS so you can pick and choose which Amiga flavor to emulate including the A500 (which most games were designed for), CDTV and CD32. The disc even contains an interview with Jay Miner!
"The software included in the Xbox product is licensed to you, not sold." It's on page 20 of the Xbox manual. This exploit involves the dashboard which is MS property even if it's on your Xbox. It is not yours to do with whatever you would like.
Other nice parts of the manual state that your warrenty can be voided if your system is damaged by a virus. I asked MS about this once and they couldn't give me an answer beyond "don't worry about it". Unfortunatly, my experience with MS products says I should worry about it.
There's always something that needs tweaking or configing or editing. Nothing ever just works.
This seems to be something that plagues many programs, not just open source ones.
Problem is, when you have billions of possible hardware combinations running trillions of different application combinations, something will need tweaking.
My extended FOTR plays fine in my Xbox but I can understand your situation.
I have a few discs that do not play in my Xbox. I usually just throw them into the PS2 to watch them. One disc in particular, "Excel Saga Vol 1" has played fine in 2 PCs, 3 PS2s, a standalone DVD player, and 2 other Xboxes. Honestly, I wouldn't have that big of a problem with things if the disc didn't play in those other Xboxes.
Microsoft has "tried" to fix my Xbox 3 times. I gave up with them and just purchased a DVD player. Good luck if you want to try to have yours repaired.
Didn't we just see this? Sony is introducing a PlayStation2 with DVR capabilities and DVD recording.
Honestly though, I've had and loved my TiVo for many years. The interface and remote design is superb. OTOH, I shudder when my Xbox (costly DVD player) refuses to play a disc and I have to resort to the PS2 with it's "The operation you have chosen cannot be performed on this disc" messages everytime I touch the controller.
Those scurvy dogs at the RIAA have already made peg legs illegal leaving me with no leg to stand on, but now they've kidnapped me pet parrot and replaced 'im with one that just says "What the fuck do you think you're doing? ARRWK!".
I own three AIW and can speak from experience that they are supported.
For anything older than an AIW Radeon, go to the Gatos project for what you need.
The real reason for using a newer AIW is the quality increase. Much like any other technology, ATi's video-in has improved over subsequent releases. I noticed this after getting horrible interlacing/syncing problems on my AIW Pro and trying the same source on my AIW Radeon and having it sync perfectly.
All suspects are guilty. Period. Otherwise, they wouldn't be suspects, would they?
Hmm...
Xbox: Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future, Sega GT, Gunvalkyrie, Soccer Slam, Phantasy Star Online
PS2: Virtua Fighter 4, Shinobi, Gun Grave, Sega Ages (Japan)
Gamecube: Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Soccer Slam, Phantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Mega Collection
If you're a big Sega fan, you would have to own all three consoles to enjoy their games.

It's 100 less than your standard Atari 2600 you insensitive clod.
Actually, the new alphabet created for the California Recall has caused the Atari 2600 or "VCS" to be renamed the Atari PQE.

Support legal emulation.
Wouldn't only insane people see something other than inkblots. This would mean that everyone's password will be "inkblot".
Oh wait, this is MS. Built from the ground up for insane security.

No.
$1000 is the limit at which they are allowed to apply the fine. (determiniation of breaking the law, i.e. speeding)
$150,000 was the fine applied to each violation. (penalty for breaking the law, i.e. speeding ticket)
Hope this clears things up
There is a difference between parody and a derivative work. Check out this article for a little more info.
Look's like a trip to the store is in order.
Barton Fink is available on DVD.
Yea, I know... I had to.
Truthfully though, this system has a Maxtor 40GB drive in it and it is failing. I can hear the bearings going out.

Hmm... where's that old 6GB bigfoot drive at?
It's in my mail server. (crosses fingers)
Back in the late 80s, there was a wonderful licensing battle for IP in the form of Tetris. The story is a long read but it's a good example.
Yarr matey! I know just how ye feel.

This be the last straw.
(perhaps they'll need Nebari-English interpreters next)?
Don't be silly. They would just inject the patient with translator microbes if they ever had that sort of situation.
First on /. we find that there's math in origami. Now we find that you can store your number cruncher inside your origami case.
Isn't technology keen?

At last you can see.
Math is in origami.
Who would have guessed it?
