I would switch to Linux if the applications I use in Windows were available in Linux.
Example, all the Adobe products. If Adobe would port their CS3 suite to Linux and also Sony Vegas 8 I would leave Windows for good. I'm aware of alternatives but that's not going to get me to switch.

  5. Try KVS or Legato on What Corporate Email Limits Do You Have? · · Score: 0

Here are 2 archiving solutions. I work for a law firm and lawyers use Outlook for storage. We currently have a 350 MB size limit but quite a few partners exceed that and there's not a whole lot we can do to prevent that other than remind them with and email stating their mailbox is over the limit.

These 2 can move email and attachments to cheaper storage and the user doesn't know it's been moved, other than the icon next to the message. They click on the email and it opens. This eliminates .pst files. I'm sure there's other solutions out there.

  25. Here we go again with TiVo on TiVo to Go Released · · Score: -1

Seems TiVo is going to force you to use a specific DVD authoring package (SonicDVD) which you cannot buy right now ($69.99).

And also even though TiVo released TD v 2 you can't use the feature unitil TiVo updates your TiVo with the new software. And don't think you can manually update your Tivo--you can't. You can enter your TiVo service number on their site to get on the waiting list.

I'm not sure why they are waisting time and money on this because. A)TiVo botched the entire process and B)The MPAA and/or the networks won't let this go on for too long anyway.
