i logged in just to respond and heartily agree with you about how absolutely awesome "Exodus, part II" was...
when galactica is free-falling on new caprica, launching vipers, and does a jump just a couple hundred feet above the ground...
and when the galactica is getting pounded by 3+ cylon starships and adama gives his "well, that's it" speech, with that awesome sad orchestral music playing -- just to have lee and the pegasus burst in launching rockets...!!!
anyway, i thought it was just me who thought that was some of the best FILM i'd ever seen; not just TV. will you be my friend?;)
just to answer your question... i have comcast digital, and they've been playing BSG in high-def on the Universal HD channel, just so you know. they're actually replaying this past season currently. what i want to know is why we're waiting till fraking 2008 for new shows!!??
as has already been mentioned, nobody gives a shit if "brick & mortar" businesses fail. leaves more room for open space areas (like we have here in colorado).
since you have a vested interest, it's no wonder you're whining.
a game is *supposed* to be some kind of test of your skills as a player/team vs. another player/team -- be it physical skills or mental ability -- and see who's better. it also includes the requirement that the "test" is fair -- meaning it's balanced. every game up until video games has this requirement (chess, checkers, etc...).
if this doesn't sound "fun" to you because you don't like to lose to superior players on an even playing field, maybe you shouldn't be playing games.
>Spidey actually rejects his status. You don't see that in movies...
actually, this was the whole plot of superman 2 -- superman gives up his powers to become a "normal" man so he can hook up with lois lane.
but, i love spider-man, so i'm looking forward to a little doc oc action! plus my 3 year old loves spider-man right now, for some reason -- this will probably be a little too "scary" though...
i think the wisdom we should gather from your comment is that 98% market share from any "vendor" is bad and something to be avoided, don't you think...?
then he proceeded to escape, kill his wife & baby daughter (a teenager escaped) and then himself.
pretty crazy, no?: http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2008/jul/26/spam-king-murder-suicide-surviving-daughter-in/

riiiiggghht....
why don't you try to visit any forum posting regarding sony that *doesn't* mention the rootkit...
that shouldn't stop the motherboard manufacturer from suing the capacitor manufacturer, should it?
maybe because it is defective by design.
to be sure, it is a wake up call...
i do find it interesting slashdot reports this story, as opposed to the reported ridiculous failure rate for the 360...

as a somewhat long-time slashdotter, i'm disappointed this hasn't shown up here for further discussion...
personal anecdote: there are two people i know of with an xbox 360; one is on his fourth and the other's network adapter doesn't work...
fwiw, i agree with you -- we must all find the right balance in life that is good for *ourselves*.
that said, there's a reason google, microsoft, apple, sun, oracle, etc. are american companies, and are literally changing the world...

i got a bit of a laugh from your post.
*most* people only want to do their taxes once (if even)... not 2-3 times to make a game of it!
oh, now windows is a fucking kid getting picked on by the big bad bully, apple???
please, get a grip.
boy, you wrote *a lot* of text to say "different strokes for different folks"
this should get modded '-1: doesn't know kirk's son died in star trek III'
when people would rather give out their mailing address than their email address????! ;)
it seems to me the headline could have been just as easily:
americans overwhelmingly support privacy of citizens
but doesn't fly as well with the america-haters...
I think you got the comparison without knowing it... ;)
resize the panel then, silly...
1) right-click on panel
2) select 'properties'
3) change 'size' to xx-small
done.
why? linux seems to be doing quite well versus a monopoly...

holy shit! do you know what a "game" is?
